So oft wird suggeriert, die neue Art der Elternschaft wäre „Überbehütung“. Wir werden zu „Helikoptereltern“, wenn wir auf das Weinen unseres Kindes reagieren. Zu „Glucken“, wenn wir unser Kleinkind beim Laufradfahren im Park begleiten. Und tatsächlich gibt es eine feine Linie zwischen Überbehütung und Feinfühligkeit, über die ich heute mit euch sprechen möchte. Feinfühligkeit steht im Gegensatz zur Überbehütung: Feinfühligkeit reagiert erst dann auf die Bedürfnisse des Kindes, wenn es sie äußert. Ein gutes Beispiel hierfür sind Zärtlichkeiten und Küsse: Wenn eine Mutter oder ein Vater ihr Kind liebevoll streichelt, küsst oder umarmt, ohne dass das Kind danach verlangt hat, kann dieses Verhalten durchaus als Eingriff in die Selbstbestimmung des Kindes empfunden werden. Sobald jedoch das Kind seinen Wunsch nach Nähe äußert, sind solche Zärtlichkeiten feinfühlige Reaktionen angemessen. Feinfühligkeit beinhaltet daher auch eine gewisse Zurückhaltung seitens der Mutter oder des Vaters, so dass sie nicht einfach über den Körper des Kindes bestimmen können. Die feinfühlige Bindungsperson nimmt dem Kind auch keine Aufgaben ab, die es selbst erledigen könnte und oft auch möchte. Sie macht Angebote, ohne jedoch Dinge zu tun, nach denen das Kind nicht verlangt. Auf diese Weise wird die Autonomie des Kindes respektiert und seine Entwicklung unterstützt. Aus Feinfühligkeit erwächst ein starkes, selbstsicheres Kind (Grossmann & Grossmann, 2012). Natürlich gibt es Ausnahmen, insbesondere wenn es um den Schutz des Kindes geht. Der Unterschied zur Vernachlässigung liegt darin, dass bei feinfühliger Interaktion Zuwendung angeboten wird, auch wenn das Kind eine Aufgabe nicht selbst bewältigen kann oder aus anderen Gründen unglücklich ist. Im Gegensatz zur Verwöhnung ermutigt die feinfühlige Bindungsperson das Kind zunächst, Herausforderungen eigenständig anzugehen. 👉🏼Welche Situationen fallen dir ein, in denen du luftanhaltend daneben stehst, weil du dein Kind selbst ausprobieren lassen willst? •World preeclampsia day• A extremely important day like many others, to speak about the risks and complications associated with getting preeclampsia. I have actually never shared this photo with anyone besides my hubby. Because it’s such a vunrable state to share. I had ZERO symptoms besides a headache, I went in for my routine weekly appointment and my blood pressure came back high, so I was sent for a blood test and urine test, I didn’t think anything of it until my obgyn called me and told me to pack my bags and come in. when I got to the hospital my blood pressure was very high. The next day more bloods came back and it had shown my liver and kidneys had gotten progressively worse, so the on call obgyn let me know I may have to have Arlo the next day if my bloods came back worse, which they did. I was only 35 weeks, I felt like I had failed Arlo my body failed Arlo but I was so so sick. Arlo was born over a month early he was very unwell but now 2 and thankfully the cheekiest sassiest toddler. I woke up in ICU shocked confused scared and just wanting to meet Arlo. Part of my birth trauma is preeclampsia but not getting to meet Arlo for over 24 hours kills me ro this day. I was on aspirin and monitored closely with Noah and thankfully avoided preeclampsia and had Noah at 37 weeks. Absolutely over the moon to have worked with this beautiful family. They really have been a dream to work with and the changes we have seen are incredible! 💤 Their gorgeous 10month old little girl has gone from several wakes in the night and needing to be rocked to sleep, to now self-settling and sleeping through the night 💙 This was all done with absolutely no tears, it was all responsive and we made tweaks when we needed to, which is why the daily support is so important. This clever wee toot also learned how to pull herself up in her cot during our time together which could’ve really affected her sleep, especially bedtime as she was doing lots of practicing her new skill, but with some patience from Mum and a very quick shift down of the cot mattress, there were no disruptions to sleep💙 The plan worked around the family I.e naps are mostly on the go because Mum times them around dog walks, and there were no rigid wake windows, only rough guides but with an emphasis on following sleepy cues and this Mum did that perfectly 💙 I always say to parents that they know their little one better than anyone, so if you feel they’re getting tired, go with it, and just adjust the rest of the sleeps for the day. The first thing I had to learn when returning to work after burnout… I used to be so proud of my multi-tasking skills, always being “on” and in control, juggling all the things simultaneously - but impacted my mental health I had to start doing things differently. ❌ Stop over-functioning ✔️Slow Down Here is what I did: ◽️ Stopped multi-tasking ◽️ Took regular breaks ◽️ Made fewer plans for the weekend ◽️ Planned more free time to do nothing ◽️ Scheduled my tasks in line with my energy levels ◽️ Created moments for journaling and reflection ◽️ Focused on being more present in the moment I started to give less time to DOING and more time to just BEING.
