Chicana Allergies heres the thing: soy Mexicana and so I love my people’s foods! pero, a los 45 shit went downhill for me when I developed alllllll kinds of allergies. Such as onions, peanuts, cabbage, and others. And I forget these things some times. And I crave my food most times. And so for Momma’s weekend I was craving mole. Guelaguetza mole, specifically. It’s not until I take one-ONE tortilla chip with mole that my throat starts itching. Pedejame-yo! Mole is made with a million beautiful ingredients, including peanuts! A-la-madreeeeeee! Yup! Epipen type scenario, but not quite. I calmed and cared myself through the 2-hour process but imma tell you one thing: always read ingredients and/or ask, plus carry Benadryl for the just-in-case. And… also listen to your kiddos when they say they just want pizza! Lessons will always show up! This week should have been a week of celebrations for me. I reached the 5 year mark of having a brain tumor removed and began a new life of self identifying seizures. It's now been 5 years as a single mom. It was Teacher Appreciation Week, and although I'm not physically in a classroom, I'm still a teacher. And, I reached 3 years at my job. Instead of celebrating, this has been one of the worst weeks of my life, which caused panic attacks, seizures, and a lot of crying fits. I no longer wanted to smile or talk to anyone. I don't want to tell anyone what happened or ask for sympathy or anything like that. I guess I just needed a moment to put it out there. Some of us are good at putting on fake smiles and can go about our day, and sometimes we can't. Sometimes... pain is real. But I'm blessed to have a God who knows every hair on my head and thinks I'm special enough to be alive. He knew me before I was in my mother's womb, and he has a beautiful purpose for my life. This week, the very core of my being was shaken, but I know God had a reason for all of it, and I'm thankful for any opportunity to grow and learn. Prayer works. And, even though I'm not mentally back to 100%, I know everything will work out in God's divine timing. #God #love #purpose #mentalhealth #life #lessons

What does the diet look like after show day? Do you pig out, or do you stay clean?! To answer: a little bit of both 😅 You gotta stay clean to stay lean 💪 Because the body is so deprived, its easy to put fat back on. We partake in something called a reverse plan. Basically, getting the body back to a normal state after being deprived for so long. The gains come back slow and steady. This is 2 weeks post show @ +10 lbs difference.
