Exercise is good for you but the fitness industry can make it feel inaccessible and intimidating    So for #moneysavingmantra24 I’m sharing my simple set up.   First, the trainers.     When I searched “free home workouts” years ago @fitnessblender was the top result. They had/ have hundreds of free workouts with zero or minimal equipment. I fell in love with their philosophy of it’s not what your body looks like, it’s what your body can do.   They still offer new free workouts, but also offer monthly/ yearly subscriptions to access curated programs and additional trainers. (I am not sponsored or affiliated I just really love their approach.) Within the last few years I’ve found @sydneycummings_ on YouTube. She has monthly challenges and her Summertime Fine 3 month program is always a yearly highlight. She helped  me break through some of my weight lifting plateaus.  Whether it’s HIIT or kickboxing, after you’ve created a habit with free workouts, You might need some equipment.    I fell in love with strength training so that meant weights.   Yes they are expensive. More expensive than one month at the gym BUT you can get deals on kijiji, or buy a few dumbbell sets over time. A good set will last and you can always find new movement patterns with the weight you have. This set has seen me through my peak fitness and post hip replacement and I still find it challenging.    I also have a block of wood, literally just scraps from a project, which I use for lunge  deficits, heel lifted squats etc.   These ankle/ wrist weights are from the dollar store and are perfect for Pilates, barre and methodical balance work. And that’s it, that’s my whole set up.   Now I haven’t mentioned nutrition or supplements. For diet and nutrition I just do the best I can. I try to make well balanced meals, eat healthy snacks, but I will smash nachos or cheesecake without regret. Nothing is off limits. exercise isn’t to “punish” myself for a “cheat” day. Besonders häufig leiden die Oberschenkelrückseite (Hamstrings) und die Innenseite (Adduktoren) darunter 🤕🦵Dies spiegelt sich in sämtlichen Statistiken wider, in denen Muskelverletzungen wie Zerrungen oder Faserrisse an oberster Stelle stehen‼️ Selbst Profis, siehe Coman, Gnabry, Neymar & Co., bleiben laut deren Verletzungshistorie nicht davon verschont 👎 Es sollte allerdings im Hinterkopf behalten werden, dass solche Verletzung verschiedene Ursachen haben können ☝️ Ein vernachlässigtes Krafttraining kann hier nicht grundsätzlich ausschlaggebend sein‼️ Dennoch ist es sinnvoll, dass Fußballer ⚽️🏃‍♂️ aus präventiver Sicht regelmäßig ihre beanspruchte Muskulatur vorbereiten und belastbar machen 💪 Somit minimiert sich das Risiko für Muskelzerrungen sowie -faserrissen und daraus, im schlimmsten Fall, resultierenden Langzeitverletzungen wie bspw. Schambeinentzündungen 😖👎 ➡️ nach der Saison ist vor der Saison!!! It’s been almost a year since my husband, and I visited Greece.🇬🇷 We traveled to many Greek islands, but I remember our first stop, Athens. We had a full day of sightseeing at the Temple of Neptune 🧿, Panathenaic Stadium and of course, restaurants to taste test the authentic Greek food like mom makes. Manages to get myself out of bed a lot earlier today then I have in the past few days, in the hope of getting a good run on the roads of my puas (Dads Sisters) pind (village) and drop in on a surprise visit. Done quick warm up in my hotel and stepped out my room if i was hoping for a cooler morning I was totally wrong I could feel the heat in the corridors. Soon as i stepped out of the hotel the heat smacked me boom in the face, it was iver 37°C. Nothing was going to stop me today as I needed a road run so I set off with my water bottle and was going way faster than I planned. So let my body dictate the pace. By second km I was mega hot but fully determined to get 5k in the bag. Around 3k into the run I got a bit confused and asked something for directions and they kind of sent me the right way but didn't fully explain so lost again and asked told wrong information. Finally found someone who knew what they was on about and got back on track but now out of water. Now this is why I love my Sikh faith on my way to my Puas house, I seen a Gurdwara from a distance in Dhanda and knew I would be able to get water to cool down and without fail there was a sink, tap and glasses out side on the wall for anyone to use. Halte den Oberkörper aufrecht und drücke die Hüften nach vorne. • Dauer: 30 Sekunden pro Seite. • Wirkung: Dehnt die Hüftbeuger, Quadrizeps und Oberschenkel. 2. Schmetterlingsdehnung (Butterfly Stretch) • Ausführung: Setze dich auf den Boden, bringe die Fußsohlen zusammen und ziehe die Füße so nah wie möglich an den Körper. Halte die Füße mit den Händen fest und drücke die Knie sanft in Richtung Boden. • Dauer: 30 Sekunden. • Wirkung: Dehnt die Innenseiten der Oberschenkel und Hüften. 3. Knie-zu-Brust-Dehnung (Knee-to-Chest Stretch) • Ausführung: Lege dich auf den Rücken und ziehe ein Knie zur Brust, während das andere Bein gestreckt bleibt. Halte das Knie mit beiden Händen und ziehe es sanft näher an den Körper. • Dauer: 30 Sekunden pro Seite. • Wirkung: Dehnt die Gesäßmuskeln und den unteren Rücken. Hier sind zwei Dehnübungen für die Beinrückseite (Hamstrings) und das Gesäß, die im Liegen durchgeführt werden können: 1. Beinheben im Liegen (Supine Hamstring Stretch) - Ausführung: Lege dich auf den Rücken und strecke beide Beine aus. Hebe ein Bein an und greife es mit beiden Händen hinter dem Oberschenkel oder der Wade, je nach Flexibilität. Ziehe das Bein sanft in Richtung Kopf, während das andere Bein flach auf dem Boden bleibt. - Dauer: 30 Sekunden bis 1 Minute pro Seite. - Wirkung: Dehnt die Hamstrings und verbessert die Flexibilität der Beinrückseite. 2. Figuren-Vier-Dehnung im Liegen (Supine Figure Four Stretch) - Ausführung: Lege dich auf den Rücken und beuge beide Knie. Lege den Knöchel des rechten Beins auf das linke Knie, sodass das rechte Bein eine Vier bildet. Greife den linken Oberschenkel mit beiden Händen und ziehe das linke Bein vorsichtig in Richtung Brust. Training Log. 😂 ✅ Monday - Front Squats @ 275, 315, 365 x 6 ✅ Tuesday - 2nd bench 4 sets 8 @ 315 (last set shown) ✅ Wednesday - sumo deadlift @ 405, 455, 495 x 5 Followed by accessories. I started running last week and have since knocked out 2 weeks of running 3x weekly at a local trail. My times are still quite slow but getting better. 😅 My short term focus will be to achieve new bests on front squat and sumo and improve my running. #powerlifting #frontsquats #benchpress #deadlift #personalfitness

5k Treadmill again couldn't get up at 4am to go for my planned run around the Summer Palace of The Last Maharaja (Kind) of Panjab, Maharaja Ranjit Singh. So had to make do with the hotel gym treadmill and even with the AC on max it was hot as F*** ing the gym, easily 35°C which is playing havoc with my VO2 MAX. Started off wanting to do 5k easy but got board and just wanted to finish so increased pace each km and then heat got best of me so finished the last 2k at higher easy pace. Tomorrow hopefully get a early morning run through some villages that I know in a different area. Lets see if I can get out for 6am as the temp will be around 27°C not the 45°C it hits later in the day..😁🤣 Had a fantastic stroll to and through parts of Ram Bagh (Ram Gardens) and to my surprise found there was a museum there. Which with a 10p entry I just had to do. Took some of these pictures undercover as for most places in india "Photography" is not allowed unless you pay...! I walked and visited many historical Gurdwars today, and my one task was to findout how many steps it takes to walk a parkarma around Sri Darbar Sahib. As many of you know with the amount of sangat there has to be some weaving in and out. I would say its approximately 1,000 steps and around 600m to do one whole Parkarma around Sri Darbar Sahib 🙏🏾 My total step count for the day is 23,000 steps andwith the blisters on my feet im glad I done that many.
