The longevity thing is kind of lost on me. Yes it would be cool to live longer, but there are so many caveats; • Is it quality? As in, am I supported by devices? Drugs? Able to move freely, without pain? • Would we lose the human experience and the constant forward drive from our impermanence? • Will this slow our drive for growth because of that? • Why risk my youth to live longer in my last chapter… with no guarantees? • How many more years? 5, 10, 50? • Do I even want to see our future? It’s not enticing. I do see the potential benefits, don’t get me wrong. We could create more, make a more time to make bigger impact, have more time with loved ones, become wiser… But this is sold to those as a millionaires dream. Not for the poor, or even middle class. Having a massive death disparity in the future would probably not suit us well as a society (even though we already have a gap) And the interesting part is the undercurrent of fear the longevity community shows. One so strong that it could overtake the years bought. But longevity is free. Every tool you need to live the length of life you’re supposed to is at your fingertips. Death is coming, so instead of focusing on adding years to your life, focus on adding life to your years. Life is not guaranteed. So focusing on now is all we should do. Live now, lower your stress, be with the ones you care about, nourish your body with love, nutrients and play, slow down, go outside and you will live as long as it was meant to be. Thought Limits: When thoughts are used as the primary means to live by, there will be a limited view because of the minds content. Without thought limitations, the mind settles and the limited view is lifted… Humans have wars against each other because of the nonsense of their thoughts. Because of this, there's very little unity with ourselves and with the world. Everyone thinks their thoughts are the right ones which arises from what is heard or what's read somewhere; all this does is limit the view of life. These thought limits are the only view of reality that’s seen until the mind becomes quiet enough to allow the restricted view to be lifted. What happens when the mind settles is it allows for a second view of reality to be seen. One is the reality of thought limits, and the other is the unlimited reality of just being with what’s in front of you. Both realities are from the same mind, but there will only be awareness of one until the mind settles. When this settling occurs and you see the reality of a thought limited view, the restrictions of thought limits fall away.
