Got the new 15x6 x 15x8 setup from @wheelvintiques on some 225/70 front & 275/60 rear with the help of my homie @_dean_noah_. The fronts won’t work on Teddy bc of the narrowed arms from @choppin_block - but we didn’t expect them to - just trying to harken back to the days of old lol. story of stone grandmother & speaking of the patina of life~ and the visible signs of living… (read my last post for a beginning discussion on the changes you may experience with turquoise and other mineral adornments over time) at my sit-spot the other day next to a creek, I looked down a found a grandmother. she seems to appear to me. (I have found a grandmother before. driftwood and now stone) they are so clearly grandmother… She was half buried, one side coated with a smooth algae patina and the other clean from being buried in the silty sand. and I was just breaking off from a conversation with Courtney about turquoise and how it changes and what it means for my jewelry business. Finding grandmother, I thought ~ of course we change with our exposure. To everything. both sides of her portrait beautifully hued, each drawing on wisdom. Later in the day I was sitting by the river and I temporarily lost my grandmother!! … (I was distracted by the very potent stick I had found). I called out for her “grandmother? graaaandmother” and looked for her in the water, in the sand, in the pebbles, and then I began to silently ask her to come back. I looked (knowing eventually I might have to give up and let her go~ but how far could she possibly have traveled? I had photo evidence that she was with me 10 minutes before…) thinking “she can’t have traveled far in such a short time ~ she IS a grandmother after all.” that “making peace” feeling hadn’t washed over me yet. I felt I could find her again if I was patient and calm and prayerful. & I found her buried in pebbles. Stone grandmother, adorned in her story of life lived in the river, is now with the wooden grandmother, who wears her patina of the forest and sea.
