(sold) A Swirl "Wrap-n-tie" dress, from 1963. in a chartreuse-y yellow awning stripe with pockets that measure 8"x10". the fabric is a great smooth cotton sateen. in the etsy now, medium size (but as a wrap, works for mediumish larges or mediumish smalls) Swirl introduced these in 1947 and made them as late as 1975. they originally had to explain what they were, bc they were designed as the extension of an apron into dress form. one of Rose Marie Reid's MOST popular swimsuit designs was her draped sheath suit, being both very supportive and very flattering...she made variations on it from 1955 to 1965. this one is from 1963 exactly, though looks like an earlier suit, except for the fabric print. She used this print on a number of swimsuit designs the same year. (i.e. pic 1 and 2) small-to-medium, in the etsy shop now. iterating!: i think late 1950s swimsuits are pretty much the most highly-engineered-while-still-being-comfortable clothing ever made, they're crazy how much better they are than even modern shapewear. it's just sad that the fabrics that were required for the designs aren't made any more. Bukka White, como Son House y otros, tiene un estilo muy percusivo por las calles de Aberdeen, Mississippi, camino de New Orleans Streamline cual deudor del anterior Special Stream Line. Verle cogido al National Resonator, meñique izquierdo enfundado en el slide, es de una debilidad incorregible, un volcán de voz que te petrifica y acaricia con esas historias de blues rescatadas de los años 30 y 40, trasladadas a tonalidades de Re y Sol, para qué más. Incluso en el relatado recuerdo a Charlie Patton puedes jugar el blues en Sol/4ª/5ª mientras él cree en la muerte violenta de su ídolo a manos de una de esas “ol’ sand-foot woman” rebanándole el cuello. A veces se mantiene en la nota tónica hasta la semana que viene sin aburrirte, como en los tres primeros cortes, incluido Baby Please Don’t Go, de su amigo Big Joe, y el recitado Atlanta Special, es un hobo de 15 años buscándose la vida con su guitarra por testigo, sólo uno más en medio de la nada subido a ese tren de la largo recorrido, sigues la letra y flipas como un tonto a su antojo camino a Georgia por el Golfo de Mexico pero sin destino fijo, sencillamente, fuera de ordenación. Luego toca el piano más negro al Drunk Man porque su baby se fue antes de cantar el gallo. El resto de temas se mueven entre los 8 y 12 compases, pero White, como tantos coetáneos, gusta de recortarlos, el efecto destroyer en la escucha es inmediato, así que dado el acomodo del blues a los 12 se presenta un juego interesante. Escucha por ejemplo a ese Poor Boy de a 8, pobre diablo, restando medio compás a los chorus instrumentales, o las bestialidades carcelarias de Parchman Farm Blues, Shake ‘Em On Down, o Army Blues, de fácil encaje en 12, pues no, les roba uno, si te aferras a la paridad descarrilarás continuamente. Bukka White ha vuelto, futuras estrellas toman nota para volarnos la cabeza con derivados para todos los gustos y colores.

DOCTOR WHO BEYOND THE 60TH: The Devil's Chord (Part Two) Debuting unusually alongside Space Babies, The Devil's Chord is a fun yet at times chilling adventure primarily set in 1963. Marketed as featuring portrayals of The Beatles, only John and Paul really make significant appearances, with Ringo and George appearing in the background of scenes. It's a very odd representation of the classic "celebrity historical" with a slightly mismanaged plot that lingers more in the background, with the effect of Bands and Popstars on the world of the 20th Century like The Beatles and Cilla Black, and the potential devastation the removal and policing of music would result in by Ruby's time of 2024. The significance of the episode however is the continuation of the story arc that briefly began in The Giggle with drag artist Jinkx Monsoon portraying the sinister and theatrical Maestro. Revealing themselves to be the child of the Toymaker, Maestro is released from imprisonment after the Devil's Chord is played in 1925 (calling back to The Giggle, as well) and immediately sets to work distorting reality and the timelines. The identity of Ruby is also teased too as a connection between her and the "Pantheon of Gods" both the Toymaker and Maestro belong to emerges. Former costume designer June Hudson cameos as one of Maestro's victims, and various references are made to prior stories including Pyramids Of Mars and An Unearthly Child. Once Maestro is imprisoned once again with the aid of John and Paul, in a similar manner to the Toymaker's realm briefly lingering in reality, the Maestro's effects leads to a lengthy song and dance number with the Doctor, Ruby, The Beatles, Cilla, and others proclaiming there is always a twist at the end. - 記錄一下今年台大盃！ 繼六年前張惠妹組曲 今年又進決賽！ 今年沒有想過會進到決賽！ 這次只有5個人一起演出， 也很感謝 @golden__sky__ 金天 @yu_ru_r 的幫忙， 讓我們順利進入決賽！ 致敬 Whitney Houston 「超難！」我跟小賴說！ 小賴說他一直很想跳Whitney Houston 組曲， 就跟他的歌用唱的是一樣難！ 甚至根本不知道要怎麼唱出來吧！ 她的歌本身就很有感染力， 尤其在台大盃的舞台，放著 I have nothing live ， 歌聲和live band 真的會讓人起雞皮疙瘩， 就像她就在現場一樣！ 舞台燈光從紫色、藍色變到金黃色， 1963-2012 在這黃金歲月 當時我可能只知道 I will always love you 幾首膾炙人口的作品 因為waacking 我才聽到 Whitney 更多好聽的歌， 每一首真的都中到心坎裡！ 因為台大盃決賽 我才去看 “Whitney“紀錄片， 看完我沈澱了很久， 回神才開始剪輯台大盃初賽的影片， 雖然都是紀錄片的片段， 只是讓大家可以想想這些影響我們的歌手， 在你心中的意義？ 決賽上台前 我依然像三年前跟泰四料理一起比賽的時候， 牽著大家的手禱告， 希望進了決賽，能好好享受著舞台， 能在最好的狀態，致敬我們心中的祂！ 總之 謝謝 @maya_chou 信任我們， 這次完全沒有參與我們的編排， 當然我們也沒有告訴他還有團員們我們跳什麼！ 初賽 決賽都充滿驚喜！ 「看了很感動！很像Diana Rose 穿白色西裝的舞者！」 聽到這一句就覺得我們這支作品排的真的很成功～～ 能讓Maya感動也是不容易吧😍😍❤️🤣 也謝謝 @chiu_cho 邱美比賽前一天 來幫我們加油打氣，台大盃冠軍前輩！！！ 然後還有比賽前兩天被我打到眼睛掛急診的 @barbie____b 現在回想還是覺得很可怕！ 細節就不贅述了， 只能說像山一樣壯麗 像海一樣柔美！ 屹立不搖的那種🤣🤣 最後謝謝 @tinabomb_l 編排了這次的初賽 阿美族的歌聲以莉高露 還有決賽 致敬Whitney Houston ， 也感謝 @cindywang1201 @ninalu98_ 永遠的排舞比賽固定班底了！我們都辛苦嚕！ 還有來看我們的mami團員 @xiang__1209 @christineyuuu 已經報名下次一起比排舞賽的 @yoru__ryuuu @pudding_sun 📷 @hankshih_ 🧠 @tinabomb_l #mamamiya_tw #whitneyhouston #mamamiya_tw #waacking #THELEGENDARY #WHITNEYHOUSTON #howwilliknow #1963-2012 @whitneyhouston #choreography #台大盃決賽 #最佳人氣獎第三名 @ntutdc_1995
