If only I knew this earlier. I can’t tell you the amount of times I have lacked energy or seen my performance drop in the gym, which can be so de-motivating. Little did I know, it was due to overtraining. If I was able to spot the signs of overtraining earlier, I could have made slight changes to my workout regime, which would have improved my energy and kept me more consistent. Spotting signs of overtraining is crucial for any fitness enthusiast! I find this even more important to spot with my clients to keep them consistent and motivated 🏋‍♂ Keep an eye out for these red flags: unusual muscle soreness, performance dips, extended recovery times, restless sleep, and a noticeable lack of energy. Recognising these symptoms early can prevent setbacks and injuries, helping you stay on track with your fitness goals. Sometimes it is just the case of taking a step back to incorporate more rest days and focus on proper recovery to regain strength and prevent a burnout.
