Nettle liquid manure is a wonderful fertiliser. About two months ago I had already prepared about 50 litres of liquid manure. After three weeks, the liquid manure was fully fermented and ready for use, but the entire bucket fell over and everything ran out! This is where I’ve been the last few months: on my allotment. I’ve been wanting my own vegetable and fruit garden ever since I worked as an apprentice at the biodynamic garden @rosendalstradgard in Stockholm more than 15 years ago. On April 1st, I got an allotment in Malmö and I started my no-dig project by digging (!) all 66 square metres. To improve the soil and get mulching material, I sowed green manure; peas and beans and the amazing Phacelia tanacetifolia, loved by bees and butterflies 🦋🐝 I’ve planted an apple tree, raspberries, blackcurrants and gooseberries. This fall, I’ll get hedgerows for shelter – both for me and the birds. I hunt cut grass, fresh and dry, to keep the soil covered. Préparation du purin d'ortie, excellent engrais 100 % naturel pour le potager 🌱 (à utiliser surtout pendant la période de croissance). Il est riche en azote, ce qui stimule la croissance des plants et les aident à se renforcer pour résister aux différents aléas. Mais aussi en fer, potassium et magnésium. En plus de ça, il a le pouvoir d'éloigner les pucerons (si ça pouvait éloigner les limaces aussi, il serait parfait 😆) Conquis ? C'est parti ! ➡️ 1- Cueillir les orties (n'oubliez pas les gants) 2- Personnellement je les effeuilles grossièrement, mais vous pouvez les mettre directement comme ça. (Si vous êtes motivé, les hacher permettrait d'accélérer la formation du purin) 3- Les mettre dans un récipient adapté (plastique ou bois mais surtout pas de métal) 4- y ajouter l'eau. 500gr d'ortie pour 5l d'eau 5- Laisser macérer environ 2 semaines. Mais n'oubliez pas de remuer tous les 2 /3 jours. Quand il n'y a plus de bulle, c'est que le purin est prêt 😉 ça peut prendre plus ou moins 2 semaines selon la température extérieure. Avant de l'utiliser, filtrer pour qu'il ne reste que le purin. Ach, leje! 🤩 Przed południem potoczyłam swoje słabowite ja do szklarenki i ze zgrozą popatrzyłam na puste beczki. A potem popatrzyłam z nadzieją na prognozę pogody (uwielbiam Monitor Burz 🥰) i zobaczyłam przepowiednie burzowe. Let's talk about nettle's! I used to think they were just a nucence and a prolific weed. But they have so many benefits, polinater's and caterpillar's love them. They are full of minerals, essential amino acids. Proteins and vitamins. It is so good for plant's and its also a free natural fertilizer. Which is great. I made this brew afew weeks ago and iv been useing it to feed my plants. I dilute with a ratio of 1:10. It also has lots of medicinal benefits. You Can make rope out of the stems, and tea from the leaves. Nettle's are super usefull but they are commonly known as a weed. It's been so wet today, the plants are loving life and growing so much, i could do with the sun coming back so I can get all of my jobs done. Tonight I went for a walk to collect some nettles. I decided to give nettle manure a go, iv been reading alot about the benifits, it's a natural source and free, it does take a bit of patience because it needs to brew. Once developed you simply dilute the feed with water and haypresto free plant food. Nettles are nitrogen ritch and packed full of vitamins. Which does wonders for plants. Mixing up a new brew 🤩 Nettle fertiliser for the garden. This batch will sit in the bucket for a little while; maybe 6-8 weeks until it’s ready. When it’s ready, I can’t tell you how bad this smells... imagine the worst thing you’ve ever had a whiff of... then double it🤢 😂 It’s so potent we’ll use it 1:10 with water. Bonjour ! Hier j’ai fait mon purin d’ortie, mais pour tout vous dire il y a tellement de façon de faire que je l’ai fait au feeling, total. Mais il y a tellement d’orties dans mon jardin qu’il fallait que je fasse quelque chose de cet or en bar. Il faut cueillir environ 1kg d’orties pour 10L d’eau si on veut l’utiliser en tant qu’engrais. Contre 500g si on veut l’utiliser en répulsif. Mais je ne suis pas fan du répulsif... si on ne laisse pas le nuisible s’installer, son ennemi naturel ne pourra pas s’installé non plus. Ensuite on mélange bien le tout, et on recouvre puis on le laisse macérer mais c’est là que j’hésite, sur la durée de macération, vous me conseillerez combien de temps ?
