We made some friends 🦜 . (Rainbow lorikeet) . Who seemed more interested in my bracelet then food, so we chilled for a bit while I offered it to another 😆 I'm puckering' because I was whistling 😗, singing to them 😁. We missed the shot but I also got a 'bird hat ' as I was used as a perch for at one point- three passengers. . My outfit you will notice following these pictures changes a bit , I have some sensory issues in short ; all of what I wear is adaptive in some way , if not purposefully then with pins/accessories. . I bring a long cardigan in case my mood shifts and I don't 'feel like my outfit ' , or my body temp fluctuating -Having a personality disorder (Eupd/Bpd for me) can be tricky around body image.. Especially with comorbidities. I can quickly become uncomfortable in some of my more contrasting choices. Chin Mudra Hand mudras redirect the prana being emitted by the hands back into the body. Those mudras which join the thumb and index finger engage the motor cortex at a very subtle level, generating a loop of energy which moves from the brain down the hand and then back again. Chin is derived from the word chit or chitta which means consciousness. Chin Mudra therefore is the psychic gesture of consciousness. Symbolically, the three other fingers represent the three gunas or qualities of nature: tamas, inertia; rajas, activity and creativity; and sattwa, luminosity and harmony. In order for consciousness to pass from ignorance to knowledge, these three states must be transcended. The index finger represents individual consciousness, the jivatma, while the thumb symbolises supreme consciousness. In chin mudra, the individual (index finger) is bowing down to the supreme consciousness (the thumb), acknowledging its unsurpassed power. We recently had a weekend getaway. I was reminded of the value of this for self-care and also for connection with partners and families.
