I’m looking forward to welcoming a new group of adventurers on my Shamanic Journeying for Beginners course tomorrow. In our first session we will learn more about power/spirit animals, how they ‘speak’ to us, as well as the terrain and methods of reaching the lower world where they reside. The lower world is a magical place of helping animal spirits and sometimes elementals, tree and plant spirits and also teachers in human form. It’s not at all like the Christian Hell that those of us in the West have grown up with, and not at all scary or feeling like you have the weight of earth upon you. To reach this place you navigate the familiar terrain of nature - you might go down the roots of a tree, slip into a pool or body of water and go down, climb down a spiral staircase in a cave, or become really small and filter downwards through sand. The possibilities are endless in the imagination realm. Shamanic Cosmology holds within it three spaces of Lower, Middle and Upper Worlds. To add dimensionality to my astrology practice I have started to see how each birth chart can be an opening to all of these three worlds. They are woven into the matrix of the psyche. The Upper World is the unseen realm of unmanifest potential, higher knowledge and enlightenment; it's the domain of gods, goddesses and evolved masters. Anatomy of The WOUNDED HEALER, pain and Co-dependency ….. Firstly, let me say…. This is my own embodied experience. This isn’t peer reviewed science. It is using language and knowledge from much well respected researcher’s however. Here are my notes: When I am holding chronic pain, my senses move out of my body and into the environment. It’s palpable. I become hyper sensitive to even the subtlest energy change. I notice in these states I’m capable of entering very subtle energy states and some could say psychic or shamanic abilities or powers. The paradox is, inside myself there is a deeper subconscious need to heal the pain. If I am not attuned to this, and my awareness is focused outward, it becomes a need to heal the environment, others, fix something etc. in doing so… I might feel a temporary sense of relief and feel better for a little while. If I don’t look inward. The cycle repeats. This is the wounded healer cycle. It’s a need. A fix, a mechanism, a dependency that is reinforced with a monetary exchange, add that it’s the only source of income and it becomes a self validating need. The medicine for this…. ( for me has been..) Owning my healing journey. Self pleasure, self love, self practices alone. Normalising painful emotions ( grief , longing, yearning, jealousy etc) and learning to ‘receive love’ from multiple sources including nature, animals, self touch, friends, nourishing pursuits etc have financial income seperate from ‘healing arts’ - this one has been essential … Now I know how to fill my own cup, feel full of love without needing to ‘heal’ ‘teach’ or ‘do’ something for someone. Something shifted. I don’t feel a compulsion to ‘heal’ people and I see wholeness in others and in the world. The world no longer appears broken to me. ( yes I know that can sound quite radical with all the awful things that happen and I still feel grief I just have some space around it) And now I notice, in the ‘healing spaces I hold ( less often these days and more choice when ) , there’s a easefulness. Nothing to do. Moreover, a sense of allowing the overflow of love to fill the room, and that is all. Love does the rest. X In Love. Akasha

I never understood why the angels 🪽wanted me to fuse them with shamanism. And it didn’t matter that I knew why. I had to feel and experience it along the way. That was more important. In the past 10 years I became clear. Ascension everything leads back to Ascension They showed me that their love and the cosmic plan needs a stabile base. It needs grounding. It needs to be rooted in you. It needs to connect with the elements and specially with you. Otherwise you are all over the place. 𝙷𝙾𝚆 𝙲𝙰𝙽 𝚂𝙷𝙰𝙼𝙰𝙽𝙸𝙲 𝙿𝚁𝙰𝙲𝚃𝙸𝙲𝙴𝚂 𝙷𝙴𝙻𝙿 𝚆𝙷𝙴𝚁𝙴 𝙿𝚂𝚈𝙲𝙷𝙾𝚃𝙷𝙴𝚁𝙰𝙿𝚈 𝙲𝙰𝙽'𝚃 After facing severe PTSD and questioning why it happened despite undergoing extensive therapy, my psychotherapist explained that my previous work had built a stable "house," yet an underlying fault line caused it to collapse when trauma struck. Her answer was to explore childhood stuff even in more depth, but I had this felt sense that I need to dig even deeper. Beyond my personal history and even deeper than my parent's histories, I uncovered another layer - the ancestral burden. I began to explore ways to begin healing this. This included shamanism, which has a deep understanding of ancestral burdens and how to heal them. 𝐼 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑟𝑡 𝑡𝑜 𝑑𝑖𝑔 𝑑𝑒𝑒𝑝𝑒𝑟 𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑙𝑙. Then, one day, in digging back through thousands of years of time, I arrived back at hunter-gatherer times, when we were living in a much more nature-connected way, and before we had largely turned away from shamanism. I hated how I looked from a very early age. Growing up in MN with a Norwegian mom, surrounded at school by what I considered to be more beautiful people, seeing mixed people not looking like me either, and also my Asian friends, with fine features & straight hair … it wasn’t lost on me that I looked like no one else, & was also a little awkward looking. There was no social media in the 70s for that kind of influence, but if you think about the Brady Bunch, Little House on the Prairie, & even on Sesame Street (it was clear to me even then that Susan was a token cast member), everyone was a similar kind of look/beauty. I was already an internally lonely child, & this reinforced that. I used to spend hours sitting in front of the mirror playing “ugly twin / pretty twin” … the ugly twin being just how I looked, and the pretty twin being when I moved my upper lip around to make my nose look thinner & changed my face. In pictures, I started to turn my head to the side & look back towards the camera, to hide, not be there, or run away. It’s no mystery how this turned into my never-good-enough belief, disordered eating, overexercising, & ridiculously out of proportion self criticism that only grew. ♥️I’m now at a place where I love myself, see & have released the inner torture I went through, and live life taking care of my heart. There are times when I see myself in the mirror, and think “wow, you’re beautiful”. & other times, when I’m not feeling so cute, the spectrum now flows only to neutral as “the low” … & I’m still constantly caring for my heart♥️I can flow past that moment with no damage, if that makes sense? It was epic for me to start posting pictures on Instagram, open a Facebook group, and slowly start sharing things on my personal FB page. I know I am here to help other people heal🙏🏼I’m so grateful to be doing that with health coaching, & that I’m internally free to allow myself that gift I was born with. Some of the many reasons I love incorporating drumming into my work. Did you know that each hide of a drum represents a different meaning and journey? I personally enjoy working with Elk and Buffalo and here’s why- Elk- Elk medicine offers a strength and endurance, especially in navigating the emotional depths and shadow of the West on the Medicine Wheel. It helps in expanding our trust and overcoming fears, and a “leap of faith” towards unity with spirit and to a reclaiming of our original grace. Elk energy is especially helpful for healing trauma and addiction, guiding us through grief and purification. It resonates with the third chakra, addressing fears and unresolved emotions held in the belly. Buffalo- When we connect with the wisdom of our ancestors, drumming the Buffalo resonates with that ancient vibration. Buffalo symbolizes wisdom and abundance, and it’s linked to the sacred pipe, brought to the people by White Buffalo Calf Woman.
