• it is my thought that the most powerful magickal currents come from natural elements gifted to us by Γαία, whether that be by a tree dropping her perfectly Y shaped branch, a snake shed left for us to find or harvesting nightshade berries from a wild-grown plant. A bird spirit who has deposited wings, bones and claws is exactly this also. I have been waiting patiently for nature to do her work; slowly softening and cleaning these remnants until they are ready for me to utilise in an upcoming task just as many indigenous peoples have done before me. Wings are perfect for an incense fan, bones for channeling and divination, claws for spellwork and charms. In folklore these torches were used to protect against ill will, malefic and sorcery. ⚠️ TW REAL🩸⚠️ Samhain Songwood Ritual, from a year and a half ago. From the break of dawn until the sun graced the sky, I waltzed in a trance, merging with the spirit within me and the whisps of the woods. Releasing myself, running off of instinct and letting the land take over my soul and speaking through me. Offering my essence—hair, spittle, and my blood—to the earth and flames, I pledged respect and fidelity. With Songwood soil and ashes melting in my mouth, I was enveloped by an ineffable connection, beyond verbal expression; a covenant of reverence and commitment. Embraced by an indescribable bond, an eternal communion with the inhabitants of the land. I wasn’t positive (for a while) that I wanted to share this, because this ritual is deeply personal and dear to my heart. But I also want to be open with such a beautiful and vulnerable moment. A Samhain Ritual for Solitaries, like me. You will need; A bowl of spring water 1 gold candle to represent the God 1 silver candle to represent the Goddess 1 black candle A wooden bowl Bread A cup of apple cider or juice Cast your circle if you so wish. Light the gold and silver candles, and say: "Lady, may your love and abundance shine through your loss, Lord, your light is not extinguished forever." Then pick up the piece of bread, and say: "I offer this food, as a symbol of the harvest and the abundance the Earth has provided this year." Take a bite, then hold up the cider and repeat the same lines again. Light the black candle and set it between the bowl of water and the wooden bowl, and say: "I provide this light to guide the souls of those who walk the Earth tonight, to bring them hope and guidance in their journey." At this point, ask for any blessings you might need for the upcoming year, preferably for your loved ones rather than yourself. Also, take some time to remember anyone how has recently passed on, or even distant ancestors that you wish to honour. Set the rest of the bread into the wooden bowl, and pour your juice or cider over it. End the ritual by saying: "As the wheel of the year turns, As this candle and spirit burns, I honour those who have gone past, I honour the harvest, the season's last." Close your circle. A mexikói Sierra Morte / Oaxaca - ból érkezett, és őslakos indiánok gyűjtötték. 🌚 Mexikóban egyértelműen az ősökkel hozzál kapcsolatba: a közismert Dias de Muertos - Halottak napján is ezt füstölik, mert hitük szerint segít kapcsolatot teremteni ősök szellemével. 🌚 Ezen kívül nagyon mélyre tud vinni- nem véletlen a fekete szín - úgyhogy kiváló kísérője a mostani befelé forduló időszaknak. 🌚 Önmagában is füstölhető, de Mexikóban gyakran füstölik pálcika formájában - ilyenből nekünk 2 féle is van - ilyenkor a kámforos, friss illatú, fényhozó Copal Blanco-val kombinálják.
