Traveling with my son for the first time of course I was super nervous. He actually did great and did not cry on the plane ✈️ to my surprise. I made sure he was fed and pamper was changed prior to boarding. Now, all that was needed was his entertainment. I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for all the love so many of you sent over the bby announcement. Truly such sweet sweet messages, so if I didn't respond just yet, thank you, thank you 💗 I was the girl who SWORE to her very core she never wanted to be a momma, and yet, here we are, and I truly couldn't be more excited. Connor and I have built such a beautiful life of just pure fun, lightness, and adventure, and we are really excited to continue that while showing a little wild one the world. ( little wild one.. one of you guys said that, and I'm obsessed) I'm just about 20 weeks..halfway, which is crazy to me. Time is flying by, and aside from headaches, non-stop peeing, and tailbone pain from a snowboard fall years ago, it's been smooth sailing. I never once got sick, no weird junk food cravings, and most importantly, I've still been able to do the things that bring me joy. To be able to still hike, or ride, or dance to music has been everything. I know some women really struggle, and they are the true heroes. Honestly, women are just so badass that our bodies can actually GROW a human. It's wild and amazing. So anyway, thank you again. Here are some photos from one of our Kauai hikes. I was nervous I wouldn't be able to hike, between the heat and bby, but I felt so damn alive and happy to be out in nature 🌴☀️

The evening my daughter was born a midwife told me I was “starving” her because I wouldn’t just give her a bottle there and then. It made me feel like the worst mother only hours in and I agreed to let the midwife give her formula in a cup. From the next morning, I was encouraged to give formula and as a first time mum feeling really vulnerable, I just did what was asked of me. I was offered no more support with breastfeeding, despite staying in hospital for 5 days.
