Caught in the Maelstroms by Hanna Grace I am very appreciative the author contacted me with the opportunity to read her book and review it. This book is her debut romance suspense novel. I thought this book was really fun. I was addicted and it only took me two days to read. We follow Briar our FMC, coming back to her home town for the summer after being gone for a number of years. She meets a few different guys, she attempts to date until she finally settles on the MMC. I loved the banter and the relationships with all her friends. It felt like a typical college summer of fun! I was in love with the book until the last 50 or so pages. I didn’t love how this slow burn romance all of a sudden sped up to the finish line in a couple pages. I didn’t love how we learned about the MMC secrets and Briar being onboard with no time to cope. Just seemed the ending happened too fast for the pace of the book. I did not see that cliffhanger coming! I will definitely look out for book 2 though to get my conclusion. 🥃Book Review 🚲 Caught in the Maelstroms by Hanna Grace Rate: 5/5 Thoughts: WOOWZA. This author reached out to me and asked if I would read her book. I will say right off the bat the blurb doesn’t give away a lot. All you know is its about a girl with a past who helps out her brothers best friend. I went on goodreads and looked at some of the review and I kept seeing comparisons to The Summer I turned Pretty and Outer Banks. I jumped into the book and waS AUTOMATICALLY HOOKED. The first few chapters set it up great but truly give you suspense so you want to know what certain characters know. There are definitely parallels to the summer I turned pretty for sure BUT STICK WITH IT!! Hannan takes you on this ride of twist and turns. You may think its going to end up like summer I turned pretty but I can assure you at the end your jaw will drop. There is no true spicy scenes in this book which honestly was truly refreshing. I guess lately ive been reading books with spicy scenes every other chapter. Yes, spicy scenes would have been cool but I think its perfect without them because Hanna has you reading these emotional connections happen. So finally, when a kiss happens you are screaming up and down. It is very much a slow burn and I truly forgot how much I love those!! Plus, with the suspense intertwined just makes it beautiful. Hola, bonitas💘 que tal estáis?✨️ Hoy os traigo mi opinión acerca de los dos primeros libro publicados en español de la saga Maple Hills de Hanna Grace: "Romper el hielo"⛸️ y "Saltan chispas"🏕 Espero que os guste y que me comentéis que opináis sobre ellos🫶🏻 ~con cariño, Lu💐 Hace bastante que tenía ganas de leer estos libros, pero la mayoría de reseñas que leía eran negativas y al final se me esfumaron las ganas de leerlos. Sin embargo, hace nada decidí darles una oportunidad y menos mal! ¡Me han encantado!🤩 Son historias muy divertidas y amenas de leer. Caught in the Maelstroms ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ @theotherhannagrace When Hanna messaged me on instagram and asked me if I’d like to read her debut novel in exchange for an honest review, I was more than thrilled. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started ‘Caught in the Maelstrom’ apart from Hanna telling me it was a new adult fiction/romance suspense novel. That intrigued me as I’ve not read many romantic suspense stories. We follow Briar Abbott, a clever, bold but flawed FMC who’s been expelled from her university and is forced to return home to her coastal New York home. She’s reunited with her older brother, Nate & his best friend Rowan. Upon returning, she’s caught up in numerous boys. There are so many unexpected turns within this book but they were executed effortlessly. The banter and chemistry between characters was fantastic and had me chuckling at times. The tension between Bri and Rowan, also noteworthy and then they finally did kiss I couldn’t help but kick my legs around and squeal like a little girl. Lastly, that ending. Hanna … you better get on writing book #2 because why would you do that to us!!! I was caught off guard and my mind exploding. I need the sequel, like now please. If you’re after a short, lighthearted but suspenseful romance novel, Caught in the Maelstroms is for you.

Book: Icebreaker Author: Hanna Grace Rating: 3.5/5 The term you can’t judge a book by the cover couldn’t be more fitting than this book. Many teenagers, maybe even teens, would think this is an appropriate book for them as the cover is an animated drawing that looks cartoonish, but trust me, this book is definitely appropriate for adults over 21. The main story is the destruction of ice rink, which leads to friendships between the hockey players and skaters. Aaron is an absolute red flag, and Anastasia is too blind to see it, and the rest is all spice. It is supposed to be an enemies to lovers trope. However, the main characters aren't even proper enemies. At a point, I felt like the author had nothing to write about anymore. She just made it unnecessarily slow. The only characters I liked were Nathan and Henry. They are the sweetest. Aaron is really hatable, I wanted to hit him every time he appeared. As her debute book, the book is not boring, but without any actual plot, it feels bland. Este libro el año pasado fue un fenómeno mundial dentro de las plataformas, variando entre reseñas positivas y negativas, referente a su contenido o la temática de este, pero creo que no es un libro malo. Cada uno es libre de opinar y dar sus reseñas, asi como lo hare yo ahora. Sinceramente es un libro entretenido, sí. Tiene escenas +18 a veces fuera de contexto también, pero de igual forma creo que es uno de esos libros que puedes leer sin problema cuando no sabes cual será tu próxima lectura; tiene escenas divertidas, unas dramáticas, los protagonistas creo que si son entrañables porque tienen una personalidad muy marcada y son fáciles de sobrellevar. En el fondo de la historia nos habla sobre la salud mental también, entonces independientemente de todo creo que si es un buen libro. Puede ser el favorito de algunos y eso está bien y también que no haya sido de tu agrado también está bien. Creo que es de esos libros que puedes leer en un día de lo fácil que es sobrellevarlo y su contenido, si quieres darle una oportunidad ¡hazlo! Recuerda que todos tenemos opiniones y percepciones diferentes y todos disfrutamos de la lectura de la mejor manera para nosotros. Aunque parezca la típica comedia romántica, el libro trata temas bastantes delicados y la autora sale bastante airosa al tratarlos y darle solución. ¡Hola hola! 🧊🏒⛸️❄️ No podía no subir la reseña de este libro que realmente me ha enamorado. Y es que hay un montón de puntos que me encantaron cuando lo leí, uno de ellos es que la protagonista, Anastasia, vaya a terapia… Esto me parece genial ya que con ello se da visibilidad a un tema que, por desgracia, hoy en día todavía es bastante tabú. También se habla de las amistades tóxicas y de los problemas con la comida y, de verdad lo digo, ME ENCANTA como Nate la ayuda con estos problemas. Caught in the Maelstroms Review 📖 This felt like a mix between gossip girl, euphoria and the summer I turned pretty. Quick, fun, slow burn romance. Bri is a sassy, witty character with some pretty clever responses. She felt a bit base level for a while but as the book goes on more is revealed of a troubled past and that there’s more depth to her. Briar’s London university expulsion sends her back to her coastal New York home. Reconnecting with her friends and facing old and new challenges, some with the name Rowan Callahan, her brother’s best friend. I wanted to like Rowan!! I really did! And I kind of do with some redemption along the way but he’s a bit morally grey. Bri is delulu not realising sooner. Although some parts felt a little repetitive with all the guys liking her, but I did find the banter funny! I read this book very quickly and the cliff hanger ending!! Omg. I had no idea it ended like that, so unexpected!!This has definitely made me want to read the next one! E tutto sembra andare per il meglio quando ottiene una borsa di studio per l’Università della California e un posto nella loro squadra di pattinaggio artistico. Nulla potrà fermarla. I due chiaramente non si possono soffrire, ma sono costretti a condividere il palazzetto del ghiaccio in cui allenarsi… Dopo che avevo sentito parlare di questo romanzo ero super curiosa di iniziare a leggerlo e devo dire che mi ha conquistato fin dalle prime righe. Ho adorato i due protagonisti Anastasia, super concentrato nella riuscita della sua performance il cui unico obiettivo è raggiungere le Olimpiadi. Nate è un bravissimo giocatore di Hockey che sa quando mettere il bene della squadra prima del suo. I due sono costretti a condividere il palazzetto del ghiaccio per alcune settimane e all’inizio questa convivenza forzata non giova a nessuno dei due ma man mano riescono a trovare una soluzione. Ovviamente ho odiato con tutto il mio cuore il partner di pattinaggio di Anastasia, da quanto l’ho odiato ho anche dimenticato il suo nome 😂 Un romanzo fresco e allegro, con un tocco di spicy che non guasta mai, che vi terrà incollati al libro fin dall’inizio. This book is adorable,I had so much fun reading it 💕 Russ- He is not a green flag, he is a GREEN FOREST. He is so cute from the beginning of the book like his ears turned pink when he was coy. I loved that after having so many issues he still didn’t let any of the things affect his relationship with Arora. Like he was constantly making sure that Aurora was not burned with his issues (tho Aurora didn’t mind). I loved seeing him realise he has so many people around him who truly love him including his friends. Also him with the dogs was the cutest part. Aurora- I love how she handles the stuff like when things got complicated she handled it like a pro and how she constantly made sure that both of their feelings are valued and listened to. I especially love how she helped Russ cope up with his feelings just the way he helped her. I was so happy to see her inner child gradually being healed. Things I liked in the book- How both Russ and Aurora’s friends helped and supported them all the time. How his friends group slowly and gradually helped him to be comfortable around them,they are like a huge family. I LOVED some of the stuff Russ and Aurora planned for each other (not giving any spoiler). I loved how even though Russ and Aurora were so different,they were still so much alike. How they both understood what the other is feeling in some situations. Hello Booksta, J’espère que vous allez bien, je vous présente aujourd’hui mon avis lecture sur Icebreaker de @hannahgraceauthor et publié chez @editions_bmr Ce livre m’a été offert à Noël, il me faisait enooooormement envie et finalement il a été ma dernière lecture de l’hiver ahah. Toutefois il a été lu dans la bonne saison ( pour moi ) J’ai vu tellement d’avis mitigé ou assez négatif que j’avais peur d’être du même avis. Du coup je ne suis pas parti avec de grandes attentes et au final woooow qu’est-ce que j’ai adoré ce livre. Par contre attention je préfère vous prévenir c’est pour un public averti. Il y a vraiment beaucoup de scènes de smut, donc si cela vous dérange il risque de ne pas vous plaire, ce qui est souvent revenue dans les avis que j’ai pu voir passer. Ici on est sur une romance universitaire, tout ce que j’aime, avec du hockey et du patinage artistique. On a un petit ennemies to lovers qui pour moi ne dure pas très longtemps. J’ai adoré les personnages que ce soit les principaux ou les secondaires. Il y avait une vrai alchimie et ça passait juste parfaitement. J’ai vu que le tome 2 sort au mois de mai et j’avoue être impatiente surtout qu’on sera cette fois sur un thème camp de vacances donc ça peut être vraiment très intéressant et drôle ahah Et vous est-ce que vous l’avez lu ? «Це нормально розуміти щось логічно, але емоційно відчувати щось інше. Це жорстко.» Цю книгу я прочитала вже як місяць назад, але тільки зараз дійшли руки написати відгуг😅 Ця історія про хокеїста та фігуристку, яким через деякі обставини треба тренеруватися на одній ковзанці. Головними героями цієї історії стають Нейт та Стасі. Нейт дуже добрий хлопць, який стоїть горою та стіною за свою команду. Головна героїня не викликала такого захоплення та розчулення, як головний герой, але авторка змогла показати Стасі і з досить гарного боку. Здебільшого, мені сподобалася любовна лінія героїв. Трохи безбашенна, мила, романтична та чуйна. Протягом усієї книги мене бісив один герой і нарешті вкінці він отримав те що треба. Також авторка вдало підняла деякі соціальні проблеми, які лише розкривали персонажів дедалі більше. ❄️✨Book Review✨❄️ ❄️ A lot of people have mixed reviews on this book, I thought it was cute! I see what everyone meant when they said don’t judge a book by its cover, because the spice🔥 🌶️ in this book was crazy 🙊 it kind of reminded me of The Deal by Elle Kennedy. Just the hokey setting, the sunshine MMC, the friends they have through out the book, and some daddy issues 👀 and I LOVED that book. The characters were cute in this. This was definitely a grumpy sunshine trope but with Anastasia being the grumpy one and Nate being all sunshine ☀️ and rainbows. Nate is so sweet and caring, while Anastasia is just kind of hard. Hard on herself and just hard in general, but since meeting Nate, she softens up a bit 💕They meet when someone destroys the hokey teams ice rink at school, forcing the hokey team and figure skaters to share one rink. I liked how in the book they touched on mental health topics like anxiety and going to therapy.
