Mein sehr verspätetes Review zu SUMMER OF WISHFUL THINKING von Eve Edwards📚 Eigentlich habe ich dieses Buch letzte Woche beendet und lese schon wieder etwas anderes (@anabellestehl endlich konnte ich dein neues Buch anfangen!), aber ich möchte trotzdem noch mit euch meine tolle Erfahrungen mit dem Romance Buch teilen. Mir hat es sehr gut gefallen und ich konnte den Sommer damit willkommen heißen. Ausgeprägte Charaktere mit interessanten Eigenschaften, ausgefeilte Backstories und eine spannende sowie überraschende, witzig und einfach schöne Geschichte. Eve Edwards hat einfach etwas an sich, dass ihr Schreibstil wie Musik auf den Ohren wirkt, harmonisch, pfiffig und entspannend! Heute möchte ich euch außerdem noch etwas mehr über erste Szenen erzählen. Wie ich von der lieben Anabelle Stehl gehört hab, lohnt es sich bei Geschichten darauf zu achten, wie auch andere Autoren ihre Anfänge gestalten und warum sie einem gefallen oder eher missfallen. Also habe ich mir Summer of Wishful Thinking mal angesehen und möchte euch erzählen, was mir gefallen hat: ➡Man hat einige Eigenschaften und -heiten sowie die sozialen und beruflichen Umstände der Protagonistin Gemma durch ihre Beziehung zu ihrer besten Freundin Diana kennengelernt. ➡Man hat ein Gefühl für das Genre bekommen und wie es womöglich endet und mit wem, denn der Loveinterest wurde vorgestellt. ➡Der fließende Dialog und die vorbeirauschende Szenerie hat ein Gefühl für den Schreibstil gegeben. ➡Alle Infos in der Szene waren wirklich relevant für die Szene (kein Infodumping) und es gab auch hier schon einen Konflikt, den ich als Einstiegskrise deuten würde. ➡Und wie Abbie @makeyourstorymatter immer sagt, wurde auch schon auf den ersten Seiten Gemmas misbelief deutlich: 'men are more trouble than they're worth'. Auch den Grund der Unzufriedenheit von Gemma kann man klar als Mangel an Romantik oder einer Beziehung belegen. Außerdem erkennt man ihren Wunsch/Plan, der sie aber in ihrer Komfortzone bleiben lässt, nämlich dass ihr Sohn sich ändert. Habt ihr euch schon mal Buchanfänge genauer angeschaut? Türchen des Adventskalenders, bei dem ich die letzten Tage schon einige schöne Bilder in meine Story gepostet habe, versteckt sich heute mal mein unbekannter Buchtipp 🤗❤. Hehe, wahrscheinlich zerstör ich mir mit dem Bild meinen Feed aber egal 😂😂 Das Genre Historik wird ja leider auf Bookstragram ein wenig in den Hintergrund gerückt. Was wirklich schade ist, weil es vorallem in diesem Bereich so viele verschiedene Settings gibt. So viel verschiedene Fassaden der Geschichte können in Büchern anders oder neu erzählt werden und vorallem treffen so viele verschiedene Menschensbilder aufeinander 😊❤. Die Herzentflammte von Eve Edwards ist eines dieser wundervollen Büchern welches im 16. Jahrhundert spielt. Vorallem für Neustarter in diesem Genre ist es perfekt. Es ist unglaublich leicht und mit so viel Humor geschrieben, dass man das Buch einfach nicht mehr aus der Hand legen möchte. Jane war eine wirklich tolle Protagonistin, welche für diese Epoche schon so stark und emanzipiert hervorging 💕😊 Dieses Buch ist auf jeden Fall eine Blickes wert und verdient viel mehr Aufmerksamkeit 😊❤ So, dass war mein unbekanntes Buch. To jest jedyna półka w biblioteczce, na której znajdują się książki, które przeczytałam. Co do jednej 😂. Chyba tylko dlatego, że są to prawie same trylogie. I to jeszcze jakie! 😍 . Każdą serię na tej półce jak najbardziej polecam. W większości to fantastyka, z wyjątkiem "Kronik rodu Lacey", czyli młodzieżowej sagi historycznej. Wydaje mi się mało znana i doceniania, a szkoda, bo świetnie się bawiłam podczas jej czytania kilka lat temu. Man kan godt komplimentere hinanden, selvom man er forskellige. Benedict familien er stor og de har alle hver deres personlighed og evner . Det er meget underholdende og dejligt. Hver bog i serien er en ny historie, men historierne hænger alligevel sammen pga Benedict familien. Jeg er vild med soulfinders Bøgerne og det univers, som forfatteren har skabt. She finds a cottage on the grounds of a castle, and moves in swiftly. Sam the owner is grumpy and doesn’t do the work he promised, but Gemma soon discovers that he has a lot on his plate and some of it she can help with... My thoughts: I really loved this book. Gemma was a great character, a lovely mum and an independent woman. Her son Leo was just heartwarming, and the writing about the characters just made me want to know them all. The book didn’t really pick up too much until just over halfway through, but somehow I still didn’t find the first half boring or anything - I was really invested in Gemma’s story. The ending was great, although I did think it was a tad rushed (this might be because I was enjoying the story so much that I wanted more)! A lot of things seemed to happen at once and then also get solved very quickly. But they were very good story lines so I can’t complain too much 😂 Overall, a great read and very enjoyable! The Summer of Wishful Thinking, Eve Edwards ⭐️⭐️⭐️ . If you are in need of a nice summery romance story to read in the garden I’d definitely recommend this book! It will be released 08/05 and you can preorder it now! (The kindle version is only 99p at the moment!) . Synopsis: Gemma is a local registrar, but watching couples exchanging vows is highlights what is missing from her life. Sam recently left the police in London to buy and renovate a castle as a new wedding venue after he dealt with a personal tragedy. Gemma has just rented the cottage on Sams neglected country estate but can they overcome their pasts to take a chance on happiness? This book is a quick summer read exploring love and loss, the descriptions of the gardens and plants were really well written and helped me to visualise the story. The supporting characters were also all interesting additions to the story. I did think the beginning of the book heavily laid on different stereotypes but as the book and characters developed the story became more interesting whilst still having those good romantic cliches! Do you own books by publishers or imprints which no longer exist? I found the German edition of "The Other Countess" a few years ago in a store which sells books for a reduced price. When I photographed the book a few days ago, I wondered about the publisher. I never heard the name and their website was offline. From all I could gather thanks to magic of Google I think it was an imprint by German publisher Oetinger. But I can't say for sure. ...................... Ich hab "Die Sehnsuchtsvolle" vor einigen Jahren in der inzwischen leider geschlossenen Hannoveraner Filiale von @jokers_deutschland gefunden. Als ich das Buch dann neulich fotografierte, fiel mir der Verlagsname auf. Ich hatte ihn noch nie vorher gehört und die angegebene Website ist auch nicht mehr online. Nachdem ich die heilige Mutter Google befragt habe, komme ich zu der Vermutung, dass Klopp mal ein Imprint von Oetinger war.
