Las redes se han convertido en una especie de obligación para todos, parece que si estas en redes estas obligado a producir, ser útil, hacer contenido, lograr objetivos, hacerte viral... pero la realidad es que solo es un engaño para enriquecer a los dueños de estas redes, ellos te venden el sueño de progresar en tus sueños, objetivos y marca personal, pero la realidad es que tu solo estás enriqueciendo a otros y tu no te llevas nada. Luego la gente se aprovecha de ti, te ven como alguien con "números", te sacan lo necesario y nada, "si te he visto ni me acuerdo". Cansada de las relaciones superficiales, de la falsedad, la competitividad, los que copian y se apropian, los que denuncian tu contenido, los que te ven como números... y podría seguir. Cuando te vas, nadie pregunta por ti ni te dirán nada, obviando aquellos con los que tienes amistad y relación. Crescent City per me è stata davvero una meravigliosa scoperta. Sono partita un po’ prevenuta a causa dei video che ho visto in giro al riguardo, soprattutto perché lo descrivevano come un libro con un world building molto impegnativo e mi sono ritrovata quindi a chiedermi se non stessi sbagliando a leggerlo prima di tog. Ad oggi posso dire di essere felicissima di averlo letto, che non avrei potuto fare scelta migliore e che vorrei con tutta me stessa poterlo rileggere di nuovo per la prima volta 🥲 In questo primo volume troviamo una protagonista femminile forte, carismatica e irriverente che non si attiene a ciò che le impone la società e, anzi, preferisce mostrare a tutti la parte peggiore di sé e lasciare che tutti la giudichino come preferiscono, consapevole che non sapranno mai chi è veramente. Il protagonista maschile è ancora più controverso e il livello di tensione all’interno di questo libro arriva letteralmente alle stelle dato che è uno slow burn di quelli che ti lasciano con la bava alla bocca, ma è anche un fantasy di quelli che ti fanno percepire di star respirando l’aria di un altro mondo… e come aspettarsi qualcosa di meno dalla Maas? House of Flame and Shadow Review 🌙 ★★★★★/5 "You're my home, Hunt. Our love spans across stars and worlds, remember? I'll always find you." I love this series and its characters so much. I think Bryce might be my favorite book protagonist ever, and this book solidified that further. In fact, every character feels full of depth in this series, and I care about all of them. Every book in this series has made me cry, and this one was no exception. It has so many heartfelt moments that really get me. I love the way these books showcase love in every way. Romance, friendship, and family. The character development and plot flow both were done well, in my opinion. Despite the book being long, nothing felt dragged out, and big things were always happening to keep you drawn in. I truly think every aspect of this series is so entertaining. SPOILER WARNING FOR THE REST OF THE REVIEW! I saw a lot of people saying they were disappointed by the crossover, but I actually think it was perfect. I didn't want it to be too huge or overtake Crescent City too much, so I liked what we got. It established connections and that there's a universe, and that's all I could ask for. The ending of this book brought me so much joy. Knowing that when it's their time, there is an afterlife and peace for them all. And I'm so happy Hunt and Bryce get a chance at maybe some calm and peace in their lives now. (Maybe). Same for Ruhn and Lidia. It made my heart heal a little. I do think the next book we'll focus on either Tharion or Ithan. And I'm excited for that whenever CC4 happens (since it's been confirmed 🤭). I'm both sad and happy that Bryce and Hunts part of the story is mostly done. "I love you. 𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐘 🌙✨🪽 Was ist das dickste Buch, das ihr dieses Jahr bisher gelesen habt? Crescent City hat mir zwar mit der komplexen Welt und den ganzen Infos auf den ersten 100 Seiten einiges abverlangt, aber sobald man es erstmal verstanden hat, macht es richtig spaß! Es hat sich an keiner Stelle zäh für mich angefühlt, und das obwohl man erst nach 400 Seiten plottechnisch wirklich vorankommt, was mich selbst überrascht hat. Man hatte durch die vielen Seiten die Möglichkeit, die Charaktere besser kennenzulernen und man konnte viele verschiedene Facetten von ihnen erleben, was ich so toll fand! Ich hätte wahrscheinlich auch einfach ein Buch ohne Handlung gelesen, nur um über all die tollen und unterschiedlichen Charaktere und deren Zusammenhalt (besonders am Ende) zu lesen. 🖤 Und auch wenn ich verhältnismäßig etwas länger für das Buch gebraucht habe, habe ich trotzdem ständig daran gedacht, weil die Geschichte mich so sehr eingesaugt hat. 📖 Was mir auch gut gefallen hat ist, dass es diesmal eine moderne Welt ist, in der alle möglichen Wesen aufeinander treffen und zusammenleben. Hexen, Fae, Meerwesen, Vampire, Gestaltwandler und mehr, von denen man auch einige kennenlernen darf! Now, years later, Zeke and Riley find themselves heading to the same college to play on the same football team, but to their surprise, they’re assigned as roommates. This book was so much fun to read! This is my first time reading something by Kandi Steiner, but it definitely won’t be my last! Her writing is so immersive, and I loved her way of describing and building the story. Riley is the kicker for the football team, and what a surprise that was. I’ve never read about a female player on a boys’ team, but I absolutely loved it. She radiates talent and confidence that rivals her male teammates. She’s not always the most open or friendly, and she also tends to overthink things a lot, but she goes through a lot of growth throughout the book, and I really liked seeing that. Zeke is the opposite of Riley. Despite his flaws, he’s genuine and has the kindest heart, and I adored how he cares for her. He always makes sure their teammates respect her, even though she insists she can fight her own battles. Most of all, I appreciated that Zeke never questioned Riley’s football career but instead encouraged her and opened her eyes to the possibility of playing at the next level. There are a couple of reasons I didn’t give this book five stars, the main one being the third-act breakup. The fight over plagiarism and risking their relationship over that seemed excessive. Also, the miscommunication about their feelings was frustrating. They clearly wanted to be together, but not talking about it led to them being just friends with benefits. Overall, Fair Catch was an amazing read with the perfect blend of angst and sports romance. After reading the epilogue, I’m excited to see what the next book in this series will bring!

Una delle cose che amo di più di Sarah J.Maas è la sua scelta di creare storie con delle protagoniste forti. In "La casa di terra e sangue "abbiamo Bryce, con i suoi capelli rossi, la sfrontatezza e il menefreghismo. Ammetto che non riuscivo a simpatizzare per lei all'inizio, non capivo il senso delle sue azioni, mi sembrava una Nesta Archeron sperduta e spenta, ad un certo punto però, come in ogni storia della Maas, ha tirato fuori la grinta dimostrando di avere una forza e un coraggio incredibili. Well, friends, I’ve done it. After so much talk I’ve finally started my journey into Crescent City…for the second time. 📖 if you were in a house in a fantasy novel, what would you want to be in? House of Books & Ice Cream for me! I just reread House of Earth & Blood & here are my thoughts—SPOILERS AHEAD! 🪄 Is synth superglue? 😆 That’s what I’m imagining in my mind when they say it can fix anything. 🪄I love how Bryce secretly has so much light. This fulfills a fantasy I have that’s been nurtured by all of the you made fun of me, but secretly I’ve been stronger & cooler & prettier than you this whole time & now we all know it, movies & books I’ve seen & loved. Basically a She’s All That kinda reveal. 🪄…although it kinda got to be a bit too much for me at the end. It was a Truman Show where they basically just watched her be virtuous & honorable & brave & I felt like we were basically being told to admire her & I’d rather just come to that conclusion on my own 🤣. 🪄I’m not sure what to think about Danika, especially after what Lehabah said about how she treated her. 🪄 I still have a crush on Connor. 🪄 It was weird to me how Hunt is all about Shahar & then buh bye, she stops being mentioned. 🪄I’m never going to remember the exact title of this book. This is still a good fantasy to me & there’s a lot to appreciate but so far, it’s my least fave Maas series (not that that is saying anything, really, bc I have such a high opinion of them in general). I just need to process that I've finished all of SJM's books. Ugh. The end of an era. I finished them all in less than a year, interspersing other books in there too. But.... these books will forever have a hold on my heart. These are some of the best books I've ever read. She is hyped for a reason, people.
