A few days ago my husband and I ran out of gas. It was a silly mistake & I thought we could make it, (it was just a few miles away). Alas, we did not. 😅 As my husband started walking to the gas station, I started praying the Memorare & asking Mother Mary that we somehow could just make it to the gas station. I called on the Holy Family as well. Not but a moment later a man and woman walked out of their house and asked us if we needed gas and offered us some that they keep on hand. 🙏 Needless to say, we made it to the gas station & I am always so grateful that Momma Mary shows up for me. St. Dymphna's Feast Day was yesterday! As I was putting her candle together, the feeling of standing at the altar as I was confirmed under her came flooding back. I remember almost feeling her hand on my shoulder as I was annointed. We've been playing with color ✨🌹 This Guadalupe statue has been (playfully) called "La Famosa" by my spirits for years now 😂. I realized after working with Sam of @vibe.caster that La Famosa deserves to live up to her title. SHE MUST BE SEEN 😂 I'm dubbing her my Leo queen based on pure vibes. I played with a mix of colors, centering around a deep brown to signify that this icon is of the primordial mother. Her shroud has layers of solar orange, warm pink, and sharp yellows. Gilded with a gold on one side and silver on the other. Her dress is a noice maroon, her clouds are etheric and other-worldly. Her skin is brown and gold and her beauty is undeniable. I stand here beneath the Morning Star, and with all the spirits, living and dead, of His Holy Church (Post ritual) An acquaintance who's a lama of the nyingma branch of Vajrayana has been strongly warning about Guru Rinpoche's predictions of potential major escalations of human & natural disasters in 2030. He's also been kind enough to offer lungs (reading transmissions that give permission to perform certain prayers & practices) along with instructions on how to help avert these disasters. Some of them include placating nagas & other types of local spirits. Since the karma hasn't fully ripened, averting is still possible. Though I've received instructions & do plan of performing some of the practices, I still tend to feel more comfortable (likely due to familiarity) with western approaches to belief & ritual. Due to this, I've begun regularly practing red meals for the locals in order to make amends & strengthen relationships. Her love is holy. 🩷 When I first felt called to Mother Mary, it was a real inner struggle for me. It was hard for my mind to grasp, how someone who considered themselves a pagan and who practices witchcraft, could have a relationship with the Holy Mother. Would she hear my prayers outside of the Church? Would I need to give up my witchcraft practice? Will this relationship change me? Here is my experience. Yes. She hears and answers my prayers. No, I do not belong to a church. Now I do go to church from time to time. I typically like to go to light candles & pray the rosary at her feet. And I prefer to go before or after mass. 🕯️ No. I did not have to give up any of my witchcraft practice & matter of fact, Mother Mary is so soo woven into my craft. Now a lot of things have evolved within my practice, sure. But it’s all been beneficial to my craft.✨ Yes. This relationship changed me, for the better! I now set boundaries. I say NO when I want to. I have healed deep childhood traumas (and continue to do so). I have learned to love myself, accept my body & know my self worth. Tea magic is something I practice frequently, especially for healing purposes. Dealing with more than one chronic illness, tea has definitely become one of those things I go to for many ailments, from headaches to digestive issues. On top of the herbal properties of the tea, I also charge my teas on my altar & call on Mother Mary (recently, specifically under her title of Our Lady of Lourdes, Health of The Sick). And I will bless the tea in her name, asking for her blessing, under that title. I will pray a few of her prayers over the tea & whisper them directly into the tea. It’s something that is lower energy and doesn’t take much time (which is important on flareup days). I’ve been using this way of fixing florida water for over a year. I originally developed it to feed a St Lazarus charm purchased from a vodouissant in Montréal. This water can be used like regular Florida water, to cleanse and clean, but it can also be used in uncrossing rituals and to open roads. For these latter uses I like to draw crosses on the back of my neck, or to sprinkle crosses of the water at each fork of a crossroads while praying to Saint Lazarus to open my roads towards a specific goal. You can also put it in a dish and set it on fire — with safety in mind, of course! This specific bottle was prepared on the feast of St Lazarus, but it can be done at any time. It was made in preparation for our community uncrossing ritual coming up in January. This ritual is available only to Patreon members of the Haw-Thorn tier, who benefit from a monthly community ritual performed on their behalf. Write out and pray Psalm 94. Anoint it with Mercury’s Open Roads oil, and put it in your bottle of Florida water. Add lemongrass and frankincense tears, as well as a few drops of holy water — I am using St Petka holy water here, but anything works. Add also a few drops of open roads oil. This done, shake vigorously and pray an Our Father, three Hail Marys, and Psalm 23 over the bottle. Let it sit for at least three days before using. Sprinkle in a space to cleanse it, or use it to wash candles, tools, and other items in need of cleansing. Wash your hands with it before and after malefic work. Anoint the neck along with Décroisé uncrossing oil for uncrossing purposes. Sprinkle at crossroads as offerings to the spirits. Time for #TeatimeAtTheCrossroads Today has been the last day of the 9 day neon novena hosted by the wonderful @kellyann_maddox. It's been my second 9 day novena (and the 2nd lead by Kelly-Ann), and it's been a great, empowering experience. I pulled a card from the Mother Mary Oracle Pocket edition, everyday after praying the rosary. Today it's been "Our Lady of Answered Prayers" what a beautiful message to end this novena with. Praying the rosary is such a calming yet powerful practice. And even though I'm not Christian anymore (I've been raised catholic but left church many years ago) I still honour Mary and praying the rosary seems to be a good way to connect to my ancestors. Trying out a new home protection work I pieced together from here & there. I don't do protection rituals daily. Having daily prayer routine along with the occasional warding / protection ritual every few months works well. Of course, I'll do different works for protection from intentional harm thrown my way (curse, malefic work, evil eye), to storm protection, etc. I'll also usually do a somewhat simple house cleansing beforehand too. I figured he'd wanna rest in his cage given how spooked he seemed but nope. He's fine. He was just overwhelmed I think. But I stopped to talk to him a bunch on the way and that seemed to help him a lot.
