I don’t often drink Prosecco, but I am glad I drank this @theflyingwinemaker Prosecco NV because it is a very good one ☝️. The fruit is from the King Valley (Victoria, Australia 🇦🇺), which is the epicentre of Prosecco production in Australia. Pale straw colour. Aromas of jasmine flowers 💐, citrus 🍋🟩, and stone fruits. A fresh palate with nice acidity and a fine bead. Stone fruit 🍑, apple 🍎, and briny flavours. Nice finish. Yum 😋. At $22 a bottle this is very good value if you want a Prosecco with good depth and a decent level of interest. Meet NOTK: the new and unusual restaurant & winebar in Rotterdam🍷 Yesterday we were invited to the opening of NOTK @notk.wine 🍷 Which translates to warehouse of wine. Situated on the vibrant and historically rich Deliplein in Rotterdam, NOTK has found just the right spot for their restaurant & winebar. With over 250 bottles and over 30 different open bottles NOTK means business. They even import wine themselves. With a self-declared love for Burgundy and France you can also expect wines from a variety of countries and regions. Their signature? Wines that are unique, have excellent quality and are somewhat quirky. Guest who will appreciate NOTK are winelovers and foodies that want more than the usual suspects. We were presented a la carte dishes that guest can select from the menu themselves, paired with beautiful wines. We were also introduced to the ‘Sommelier menu’. Nepenthe Adelaide Hills Pinnacle Albariño 2023 I cant say I know much about this grape variety. Not sure what it's suppose to taste like but I'm going with apple, lemon with stone fruits. Its quite refreshing and would go well with chicken, thai and seafood. It's the sort of wine for spring and autumn when out in the sun. I read with interest the grape comes from Portugal and I see why it would work really well there. $35 bucks and well worth it. Delamere Pinot Noir 2010 Picked up quite some time back on my first visit, we had a great hour or so talking rubbish with Shane at the Cellar Door/Winery at the time, the hard part was keeping the order size reasonable and having to make choices about what to buy Med/deep ruby, surprisingly clear, deep and bright given its age The nose is dark cherry, autumn leaves, earth and a hint of spice On the palate, that dark cherry is there again, tannin and acid in fabulous balance, with musk sticks on exit. Suite à ma dégustation fort convaincante au @domainegrosbois, j’ai déjeuné sur place à la « table du pressoir » restaurant éphémère extérieur abrité dont la vue panoramique les pieds dans les vignes est à couper le souffle ! La cuisine du chef « Théo » reflète parfaitement l’image du domaine qui n’est pas seulement viticole mais aussi un lieu de polyculture et d’élevage de races d’exception. Le graal donc pour un cuisinier qui a à sa disposition des produits on ne peut plus locaux, biologiques et magnifiques. La carte est de saison, bien construite. . Outre les asperges accompagnées d’une burrata crémeuse et bien assaisonnées, j’ai surtout apprécié l’échine de porc de race Longue avec son jus de liveche et ses légumes printaniers. Je n’ai pu résister aussi à quelques bouchées de faux filet d’Angus tellement goûteuses et parfaitement cuites. Un régal Le cadre est reposant, moderne et authentique.
