Review: The Fall Guy (2024) Going into this I had never seen the original show but I couldn't say no to the charm and awesomeness that is Ryan Gosling and damn is he great in this movie. After leaving the business one year earlier after a serious accident, a battle-scarred stuntman Colt Seavers (Ryan Gosling) springs back into action when the star of a big studio movie Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor Johnson), suddenly disappears the movie just happens to be Directed by an old flame Jody Mereno (Emily Blunt). As the mystery surrounding the missing actor deepens, Colt soon finds himself ensnared in a sinister plot that pushes him to the edge of a fall more dangerous than any stunt. Let's just cut to the Chase this film is awesome and full of laughs and action it is such a fun time, The cast really shines in this movie all the stunt work is shown in such a realistic way the organisation everything. The plot twists are great, the chemistry between Ryan and Emily is unbelievable, have to say Winston Duke is so good in this as Dan Tucker also the conniving Gaile Meyer played by Hannah Waddington is such a snake. The film is a love letter to stuntmen the unsung heroes of Cinema and the stunts pulled off are insane and i will say you should stay through the credits to see and appreciate what they do its insane they deserve all the flowers for making actors look invincible it's honestly one hell of a dangerous job so respect to all stuntmen who do this and put there bodies through so much. On this week of “Favourite Movie Friday” I present to you “The Perks of Being a Wallflower”. I can’t even explain how much this film means to me. Every single time I watch this movie I feel it, I literally feel it in my gut. The emotional roller coaster this movie take you on is outstanding. Between Charlie’s past, mental health, current problems the entire film just really hits me. Logan, Emma, and Ezra are all brilliant in their respective roles. I honestly expected this too be bad going in but after seeing it I personally think it’s a good movie. Yes the story is a mess at times and the narrative could’ve used quite a bit of work to make it more organized and compelling. But theres a lot to like here. I personally think the first act is outstanding, seeing the building blocks be laid for Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt was a funny and lighthearted experience and I throughly enjoyed it. The second act is where it gets messy as they intertwine a strange plot that doesn’t really fit the setup all that well. But although the writing can be messy the stunts are outstanding. This movie is a petition to have an Oscar for stunts. That’s one of the best aspects of the movie, it’s very much a love letter to stunt people. The third act is a lot of fun to watch also but again the writing falls short. Overall I think this is good. CHALLENGERS At points during this movie I wasn't sure what I felt about it, I was almost willing to write it off, but by the end, I was sat wide eyed thinking I had just witnessed one of the most intense and engaging final scenes I've seen in a very very long time This is the kind of movie that the more you think about it after, the better it gets. Yes its about Tennis, but...no its not really. Tennis is a great stand in for these relationships, its back and forth, its energy zapping, it can be painful, it can be euphoric. An amazing thing this movie manages to do its make me switch who I am routing for constantly. Every time something new is revealed, it gives you a slightly different perspective on the story, and makes you side with a different character. By the end, I'm not sure I wanted anyone to get what they wanted, and the tension in the last scene made me sit on the edge of my seat to see how it was actually going to end. The acting was brilliant, everyone got fully lost in the roles. The soundtrack was so unique for this kind of movie, but added such a great dynamic to the emotions of everything. Watch to marvel at how old Mickey Rourke looks as the grumpy, petulant top terrorist. Remember when he looked so youthful and innocent in Diner and The Pope Of Greenwich Village? Here he looks like he’s been through a few terrorist bombings himself 💣. 영화 <체인질링>은 클린트 이스트우드 감독의 2008년 개봉 작품으로 미국에 실제로 일어났던 사건 "와인빌 양계장 연쇄살인"을 각색하여 스크린으로 옮겼습니다. 주인공이 경찰들에 당한 일들은 실제로 벌어졌던 일들이라 영화를 감상하는 데 있어 엄청나게 답답함을 불러일으키기도 하죠. 저는 안젤리나 졸리가 이렇게 연기를 잘하는 배우인지를 처음 알게 해준 작품이기도 했는데요. 아들을 잃은 슬픔&부당한 대우&작은 희망을 품고 평생 월터를 찾는 한 부모의 입장을 보는 관객들에게 더욱 가깝게 느껴지도록 만드는 그녀의 깊은 연기력은 작품을 감상하는데 주요 포인트가 되었습니다. 연출 또한 각본에 굉장히 신경을 쓴 부분들이 여러 존재하였으며 클린트 이스트우드의 명성과는 다르게 흥행 면에서는 실패하였지만 흥행과는 별개로 지루하지 않는 내용과 깔끔한 전개 연출이 마음에 들었습니다. 청소년 관람불가 등급을 받은 부분에서는 아이들을 무참히 살해하는 장면들이 간접적으로 표현된 것 그리고 교수형&정신 병동에 수감된 부분들이 R 등급을 받은 원인이 되기도 하였죠. 네이버 평점 9.17&IMDB 7.8 점으로 국내/외에서 모두 높은 점수를 유지하고 있습니다. 개인적으로 감상하였을 때도 지루하지 않은 내용과 함께 클린트 이스트우드의 관록이 묻어있는 흠잡을 곳 없는 연출 그리고 안젤리나 졸리의 연기력이 높은 점수를 받은 원인이 되지 않았나 생각됩니다. 감각적인 연출을 선호하는 <토드 헤인즈>의 영화 <파 프롬 헤븐>과 비교해 보아도 재밌을 작품이라고 생각합니다. 두 작품 모두 여성 인권이 바닥을 치던 시대에서 그들이 어떤 희생을 겪었는지 적나라하게 보여주게 되는데요. 스타일은 다르지만 이번 작품 안에서도 패션에 굉장히 신경을 많이 쓴 부분들이 보였습니다. 어떤 옷을 입어도 명품처럼 보이게 만드는 안젤리나 졸리의 영향력도 있겠지만. 그녀가 입고 나오는 다양한 색감이 섞인 옷들은 심정 변화를 입고 있는 옷 색깔로 표현하지 않았나 생각됩니다. 초반-중반까지는 평범한 가정-희망을 간직한 채 경찰에 맞서 싸우는 그녀의 옷은 밝은 색조를 띠다가 범인이 밝혀지고 난 뒤 월터의 생사를 전혀 알 수 없는 상황이 되자 어두운 색조의 옷을 입었기 때문이죠. 두 감독의 스타일은 전혀 다르긴 하지만 클린트 이스트우드 또한 이번 작품에서 색감에 굉장히 신경을 많이 썼던 것을 느껴볼 수 있었던 것 같습니다. 인물에 대한 관찰을 꼭 내레이션과 함께 쓰지 않아도 색감으로 집중도를 올렸다는 점이 인상 깊었던 클린트 이스트우드의 영화 <체인질링>이었습니다 #clinteastwood #movie #moviereview #movierecommendation #changeling #영화명대사 #영화리뷰 #영화스타그램 #영화추천

The achievements of Srikanth Bolla are so remarkable, it’s a wonder a biopic was not attempted earlier. Bolla, the blind founder of Bollant Industries, is by any measure a poster boy of unflinching determination and never taking no for an answer. Hindi cinema has, with a few exceptions like Sparsh (1980) or Aankhen (2002), used a character’s visual impairment as an excuse for melodrama or pity-mongering. Tushar Hiranandani’s matter-of-fact approach towards Srikanth (Rajkummar Rao) is refreshing. That may have had something to do with the impression the real character conveys to people – as his screen alter ego says, blind people deserve not just empathy but equality.
