It's wet and rainy here in Washington State. Some say it is back to weather as normal for us. I say, there has never been a normal. Just because we are used to something or that a certain track record says something is normal, does not make it so. When we realize, truly realize that all of this *looks around* is alive, has its inherent characteristics and behaviors, we realize that there is no real thing as "normal". You have forces which do what forces do. Natural phenomenon are influenced by other natural phenomenon. If the moon was just a little more further away or closer, our tides would become askew and we probably wouldn't be able to live in the planet. If the Earth was a little closer or further away from the sun, life for the most part would cease to be. Well, our forms of life to be certain. Every rain drop. Every gust of wind. Every molecule. They all do what they do. They all influence each other. Every sickness, every bacteria and germ, every animal, plant or mineral. Each of them are inherently "alive". They interact. They shape behavior. They shape our lives in ways that are wonderful, and terrible. They can create new forms and phenomenon. They can take life and make it. The same goes for Them, the Spirits in Yonder Forest. The Forest holds great mysteries. Anciently, after we became "civilized" and learned the mysteries of planting and showing from Them, and began cutting down trees to make room for our bidding societies, the Forest WAS. It was the place of mystery. Of joy and terror. It was where the Wild Things Were. Now that we have raped the Forests...that Primeval Forest still dwells...just a single breath sideways from us, wherever we may be. It is to this goal that we BREACH the Veil of our senses and go into the Timeless. To learn. To experience. And to bring back FORBIDDEN wisdom... I would like to offer two custom painting commissions on behalf of my friend and fellow artist Eiluned Verch Annwn's fundraiser (she's getting out of a bad situation and needs some support to make it happen). The paintings will be 12"x16" (unless a different size is requested) and done in a combination of acrylic and metallic paint. You can ask for something similar to one of my previous works and I will re-create it in this larger canvas size, or you can ask for something new and unique. If you want specific seals, sigils, and imagery (or just want it focused on a particular spirit-person / deity) I can do that as well.
