🌙☁️🪷🐚🌿🪈✨️The Celestial Kingdom duology 🦢🏹 Daughter of the moon goddess 🌕 I enjoyed this book more than I expected, I love a good Asian fantasy and this almost felt like a C-Drama and I loved it. The writing was easy to understand and if you are looking to transition from YA fantasy to adult fantasy this might be the perfect place to start ! The world building is done quite well, it was very immersive and beautiful. Xingyin was kinda morally grey? Her mother was kept prisoner by the Celestials while she initially did go there for finding ways of how to release her, she did end up caring for the Prince Liwei whose parents had kept Xingyins mother captive and she was lost as to where her loyalty lied. Xingyin made some rash decisions and her actions didn't always seem like the best option to me. Nonetheless I did like her and enjoyed reading about how she went about trying to free her mother. Liwei was someone who was such a cinnamon bun ugh, he was too good for her😭😭 I love him so so much and I m sorry if anyone is offended but Liwei deserved better. I won't say much about Wenzhi cause no spoilers. The love triangle isn't my favorite trope but I tolerated it because it made sense with the plot. HEART OF THE SUN WARRIOR ☀️🌤 First of all, the LOVE TRIANGLE MADE IT SO ANNOYING😭😭😭 it made me mad, like resolve ot quickly why are we dragging it so much and going back and forth sm????? Also both the men lost their unique voice and felt the same to me in this one. I enjoyed the adventures and the storyline and how it progressed. It was very fun to follow and there were some plot twists which I kinda predicted but still enjoyable. #bookstagram #booksta #bookstagrammer #newtobookstagram #booklover #bookaddict #bookishpost #reading #readingcommunity #bookcommunity #bookreview #aestheticbookphoto #aestheticbooks #aestheticbookstagram #daughterofthemoongoddess #heartofthesunwarrior #thecelestialkingdom #Asianfantasy #prettybooks #aesthetic #bookishcontent #booksbooksbooks #bookphotography #bookishlove #romantasybooks #romantasy #fantasy #fantasybooks #fantasybookstagram

#reginatrădătoare #regatulpodului #danielleljensen #fictionbooks #fictionrecomandation #bookrecommendations #booksesthetic #smallbooklibrary #aestheticbookphoto #foryoupage #foryoupageromania #bookstagram

this is me taking a big old dump on your feed 🖤 qotd: What have you been up to lately? Since my last post I've read 📚 Perfume by Patrick Suskind ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5 Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller ⭐⭐⭐.5 Big Swiss by Jen Beagin. ⭐⭐⭐.7 I loved Perfume so much, as you could probably tell by the massive caption in that post. Big Swiss was a nice fun read, a book about an unhinged woman doing unhinged things, what more could you ask for. I've been buying a lot of books lately which is a bad thing bc I'm supposed to be saving money. I was so good in April with my spending but May seems to be a different kind of beast for my wallet 🥲 I've started my master's program. I don't know how I feel about it to be honest. I'm trying to pick between a dozen projects for it but I can't decide. It feels like this decision is giving me so much anxiety about the future and where I want to be in my career this time next year. Tacos were mid ngl which sucked bc they looked so beautiful 🌮 💔

🫂 Wszyscy byliśmy za młodzi 🫂 ︵‿୨♡୧‿︵ autor: Maria Lichoń ocena: ⭐⭐⭐,75/⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ︵‿୨♡୧‿︵ "Wszyscy byliśmy za młodzi" to książka, o trudach dorastania. Chwilę kolejną nic a później znowu. Emocje. Jeśli chcecie książkę, która idealnie odzwierciedla emocje, ona będzie cudowmym rozwiązaniem. Polecam. #bookreview #homelylibrary #aesthetic #book #bookstagram #bookmedia #books #recenzja #recenzjaksiążki #aestheticbookphoto #ksiazkara #książkamłodzieżowa #recenzjaksiążki #reviewwithlove

“Eating, love’s natural, bloody conclusion that can never, ever be indulged, because then the thing you love is destroyed. And maybe not destroying the thing you love, resisting that impulse, is the highest expression of love.” Motherthing 4⭐ Presenting a book with more mommy issues than you can shake a stick at: Motherthing! Motherthing is a book about grief, and family. Grieving the ones we’ve lost, the moments that could have been, but also grieving the possibilities of the past. The book starts with Abbi finding the body of her dead mother-in-law in the family basement. Grief ensues, but not necessarily from Abbi. Why? Because her relationship with Laura, the now deceased MIL, was not the best due to the constant competition of fighting for Ralph’s love, Laura’s son. Abbi herself comes from a troubled home in which her own mother never prioritised her. With Laura’s death, comes a haunting, quite literally. Ralph knew his mother was another troubled woman, but he was there for her as she was for him, and now what? Is he just going to abandon her ghost in the basement of their house? Absolutely not, because Ralph is a good son. As Ralph becomes evermore consumed with keeping his mother happy, neglecting everything else in his life, Abbi starts to plan and obsess about how their new life as a perfect family will come about now that the depressing Laura is out of the way. This book is so well written, laced with wit and dark humour, I don’t want to say anything else about the plot because it had me wondering at each moment what was up with Abbi and what would she do next. It’s a slow descent into madness, one you don’t realise you’re slipping into until you’re halfway through eating a dish of jellied salmon (the true horror of this book). The ending is wild. I wouldn’t have wanted it to be written any other way. I couldn’t believe what was happening, but I was here for it. Abbi can do no wrong in my eyes. I said what I said. Lastly, an important thing to note about this book and whether you should read it: there are two types of people in this world. People who love talking about poop, and people who absolutely hate the thought of it. I am the former.

Today's checklist involves finishing up this read. I've been in the biggest reading slump but this book has possibly gotten over it. 🤍 I started this book Tuesday night and got half way through. I think I might be a two book at a time kind of person. I'm still working my way through Anna Kareina, but now I think having a short read on the side is making me feel more accomplished? Productive? Feels like a side quest kind of. Do you read multiple books at a time?

I have been living in a constant state of anxiety since the beginning of February. I lost one job and found another, but I am not very good at it. I started a new writing project and am continuing old ones. Then I have to eat and sleep. I no longer have time to read. Books take me away from reality. How much is there, though, positive in that? When in doubt have a good evening 🌝🌚 Vivo in uno stato d’ansia costante da inizio febbraio. Nel dubbio buona serata 🌝🌚 • • • #libri #leggere #leggeredinotte #aestheticbookstagram #aestheticbooks #aestheticbookmarks #aestheticbookphoto #bookphotography #books2023 #bookrelease #cottagecore #cottagecoreaesthetic #darkacademia #darkacademiaaesthetic #darkacademiavibes #academia #darkacademiabooks #darkacademiastyle #lafaccianascostadelsole #bookcore #comeinaltocosìinbasso #eatingbooks #asabovesobelow #iliveforbooks #myfuture #gigiamery #imanifest #manifesting #manifestingreality #geejramery

Neskutečně jsem si všechno a všechny z PJ universu zamilovala a hodně dlouho nebudu over spoustu věcí.

📖Comfort Read Alert📖 I’ll Be the One centres on the colourful world of K-pop, with Skye serving as the main character. She is a gifted singer and dancer who is constantly made fun of because of her plus-size physique. Despite her mother’s lack of encouragement, Skye enters a local K-pop competition with the desire to shatter preconceptions and her concern that it would provoke further criticism. Unbothered, Skye wins first place in the singing and dance competitions with the help of her father and friends. When one of the judges, Bora, acts cruelly and disqualifies Skye from the dancing portion due to her body type, the plot dramatically changes. But Skye keeps going, keeping her positive attitude and concentrating on the singing portion of the competition. Skye makes deep connections with competitors who see the judges’ harsh treatment during the competition. Her newfound friends’ support and companionship become crucial in helping her overcome challenges. In the end, Skye not only wins the contest but also succeeds in having Bora dismissed, proving that individuals of all sizes can achieve greatness. The book’s uplifting and empowering narrative, coupled with relatable experiences of overcoming discrimination, makes it a compelling page-turner. Skye’s resilience becomes a source of inspiration, creating a positive and impactful reading experience. The straightforward and accessible writing style further enhances the book’s appeal, making it a standout and empowering read. A must read and also my re-read! Quali libri vorreste assolutamente leggere a novembre ? Spero siate messi meglio di me🤣💗 #bookshots #bookstagramfavorites #aestheticbook #aestheticbookphoto #bookstagrampics #thehurricanewars #fairylootedition

• 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻'𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗻 ~ 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗟𝗮𝘄𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 • _______________________________________________ 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 This was such a peculiar but wholesome read at the same time. The story is about a girl, Livira Page that lives under rough conditions in the Dust, and when Dust gets attacked she’s been moved to Crath where she apprentices in the famous library. Now, Evar Evantari is a boy that spent all his life in a chamber of an enormous library with only his adopted siblings and an android that’s the library assistant. The two of them will meet and a journey of knowledge that knows no time will reveal many truths, lies, heartache and the meaning of life. It’s very difficult to describe this book but the author is trying to show us how powerful knowledge can be and how wrong can go in the wrong hands. The many allegories in the book try to reflect that to real life which is the true value of the book. Lastly, I really need to comment on the remarkable writing skills of Mark Lawrence! This was my first book of him and I will be looking to read more. ☞ Tell me one challenging/ peculiar book you read lately.

• 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗿𝗮𝗽 𝘂𝗽 • _______________________________________________ Hey bookfam! Wednesdays are always like a pit stop for me as it’s the middle of my working week and usually I have most of my tasks organised and prepared for completion. I can’t believe that we are in November already. It will be Christmas in no time! So let’s do a recap of October. I only read 4 books this month but all of them were good reads. My absolute favourite though was ‘Two twisted crowns’ which is the second book in the series and I absolutely adored! I have many reviews to post from all year round that haven’t done yet, but I’m slowly getting through them. And this is why this month has been great for me. I finally managed to get back to it. I managed to have some of my reading and reviewing routine back. And this is where I will focus my energy to! ☞ How has October been for you?

This book was simply amazing. I could not put the book down until the very end, and even then, I could not stop reading. Angela's writing style is fantastic. She made sure to highlight her Spanish heritage in some of the words she used, and I wasn't completely lost. Despite the fact that it was written in the third person, there was a dual POV, and I felt every emotion of the characters. The characters were charming, incredibly evocative and well-balanced (King Sebas and Rosa are my faves). They battle their demons and succeed in a touching and utterly satisfying way. I was kept on my toes waiting to see if Rosa would come out on top. And the building of the world? I was amazed. Everything was explained with such perfection. I won't disclose much about this book, but I will say that the writing is incredibly exquisite and captured my attention right away. And, I NEED MORE! • 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 ~ 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗻 • _______________________________________________ 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 This read totally blew my mind! The story starts when Caz and her boyfriend board the Atlantica for their holidays. After their first night on the ship, Caz wakes up and realises that she is alone on the ship. From this point starts a whirlwind of events with many plot twists. Honestly, I haven’t felt more lost of what to think of a plot. There is nail biting suspense, raw, shocking scenes, and tangible tension throughout the book. Can’t reveal much without spoiling the story but one thing that I can, under all circumstances, do is praise Will Dean’s writing. His next book is always so much better than the last and I’m always utterly dumbfounded when I read them. Such an amazing writer and each of his books is a success by itself! Can’t recommend enough! ☞ What are your plans for Halloween guys?

• 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 • _______________________________________________ Hey bookfriends! Happy Monday to all except those that were off from work today 😂 So, the last few days I’m reading ‘The night hunt’ by Alexandra Christo. I had some difficulty getting into the mood of the book and to be honest, 60% in it and I’m still not fond of it. I’ve read books from AC before and I really liked them hence picking this one up. However, I cannot vibe with it. It feels very flat for me. I will continue with it of course but it won’t make it to the top of my list as it seems. Also, I need to find time to write all the reviews that I’m due to deliver, and they’re a lot! ☞ What are you currently reading?

Hejka! W moim przypadku niestety muszę zaliczyć ją do średniawek… 🤷🏽‍♀️ 2,75/5⭐️ [współpraca z @wydawnictwoyoung ] Miłego dnia! #bookworm #photo #bookphoto #aestheticbookphoto #aesthetic #wydawnictwoyoung #drugasmiercedieivioletbond #explore #exploreunder20K

• 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹 ~ 𝗟. 𝗥. 𝗟𝗮𝗺 • _______________________________________________ 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 This book is the ultimate hype for fantasy lovers. Dragons were living in the mortal realm where they were ruling as gods. But long ago, the humans betrayed the dragons, stole their magic and banished them in a harsh dying world. Years later, dragons are worshiped as gods and magic is used to classify people’s class in the mortal world. The main character, Arcady, in order to create a place for her in the nobility will steal an old powerful artifact. However, using the artifact will bring to her world the last male dragon, Everen. Everen that is the last hope to save his kind, needs to gain the trust of the Arcady in order to fulfil his destiny. The more they get to know each other, the more complicated things get for them achieving their goals. This read really was very special for me. I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it. I liked the characters. They are strong willed and determined to prove themselves. The culture dynamics of both human & dragon worlds. The magic system was easy to understand and follow. The world building is just much enough to animate it in your head. The writing and prose were amazing and the ending wasn’t predictable ( which doesn’t happen often) and didn’t reveal anything for the sequel which makes you craving for more. Overall, an excellent experience reading this! ☞ What’s your recent most exciting read?

• 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝘂𝗽 ∙ _______________________________________________ Hi bookfriends! It’s been a spell from my last post, so let’s do a life catch up. Last month hasn’t been kind to me. I got sick twice :/ and I’m not fully recovered yet. I literally had to be off from work the first time. Last week though, we took a small trip to Copenhagen. We went to attend a family wedding and stayed for 4 days to enjoy ourselves. Needless to say that the wedding was beautiful and we had amazing time! It was our second time there and we now had the chance to enjoy the city without the sightseeing frenzy. This week I’m back to work and usual life responsibilities. Aku bukan kolektor bookish merch. Yang putih sebelah kanan totebag The Little Prince aku beli di market place. Aku suka perpaduan keduanya. Hejka! Dzisiaj post dość nietypowy, ponieważ przychodzę do Was z zbiorczym postem na temat Trylogii Zemsta.

___________________________________ #autorzy #autumn #autumnbook #bookstagram #bookishvibes #bookishvibesbysandra #bookstagrammer #books #ksiazka #aestheticbookphoto

COLLABORATIONS WANTED Writing the first book of the As Above So Below trilogy was fun. We took the first version, changed it a lot to make it sound less cringy and more logical. And finally, we invested in some great editing. Editing was both fun and devastating, but also very instructive. We learned so much, we've grown so much since then. The way of writing has taken a quantum leap (in fact, anyone who has read the second volume has said it is much better). Then we decided to invest in translation. And that is the best thing we decided to do. The English version is beautiful: there are 30 illustrations inside, a beautiful layout with decorations at the beginning and end of each chapter. And shall we talk about the cover? Our love for this child is boundless. Its place in the world is there and it’s huge, it just hasn't realised it yet ❤️ We are waiting for you, who are potential uncles and aunts! You won't regret it 😈👼

• 𝗞𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 ~ 𝗠𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗮 𝗠𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹 • _______________________________________________ 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 I don’t think that this series need introduction in my profile. I have read and reviewed all three previous instalments in the series and my love for Dragonwall is known to those who follow me some time now. In this book, we see the story from Koldis’ perspective. We delve a bit further into the story and also into other characters that we find in the spotlight in this book. The world building is once more amazing. I love the way it is presented and how magic works. I love the way Melissa is ‘feeding’ us pieces of the greater story and how these pieces slowly fill in the gaps and the background plot. The romance is forever present in the series but I like that is not central-built but compliments the fantasy parts. Every book focuses on a different romance so I’ll leave it to you to discover by reading the book ;) @melissa.nicole.mitchell thank you again for an amazing read! • 𝗜𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗲𝘁𝘀 ~ 𝗧. 𝗝. 𝗞𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗲 • _______________________________________________ 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 I don’t even know how to describe the feels I get from Klune’s books. He has a remarkable ability of putting into words the depths of the human soul. He’s an amazing writer and storyteller but this particular ability is that wins above all every time. In this story, we meet Victor who is the last human living hidden from the rest of the world with his unconventional family of robots. When one day Victor will repair an android call HAP, his adventure will start to save his robot father Gio from the rest of the robots and he will untangle his own story and how he ended up being the last of the humans. The story is so original, emotional and heartbreaking and also so amazing that is captivating. It has a very nice pace, delivering information about the world and the characters throughout the plot in a smooth way that melts everything together. Simple language but rich and meaningful. The characters are so lovely that I didn’t want to part with them at the end of the story. Finally, the ending is so heartwarming and full leaving the reader with a feeling of a strong fulfilment. ☞ If you could be any fictional character who would you like to be?

“Death is a strange thing. People live their whole lives as if it does not exist, and yet it's often one of the great motivations for living. Some of us, in time, become so conscious of it that we live harder, more obstinately, with more fury. Some need its constant presence to even be aware of its antithesis. Others become so preoccupied with it that they go into the waiting room long before it has announced its arrival. We fear it, yet most of us fear more than anything that it may take someone other than ourselves. For the greatest fear of death is always that it will pass us by. And leave us there alone.” ― Fredrik Backman, A Man Called Ove #amancalledove #frederickbackman #bookquotes #favouritebooks #fivestarreads #booksof2023 #bookrec #indianbookblogger #indianreader #booksbooksbooks #aestheticbookphoto #bookishaccount

• 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝘅𝗴𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 ~ 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗵 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻 • _______________________________________________ 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 This is the 1st instalment in the new series of Hannah Whitten. Here, we have the story of Lore that doesn’t have a very good start in life, finding out about her new magical power to raise the dead and putting her in a dear situation that she has to help the king to solve the deaths of whole villages or die. So, she gets dragged and tangled in all the court drama, politics and religion matters, but also she finds love and herself in the process. I want to start with the first thing that jumped to me in this book. The story telling quality was a lot better than previous books. It felt more concise and considerate than previous reads. The world and character building was with more intention and purpose to serve the plot. The background story and magical system are easy to understand and the world that is immersed feels complete and real. It’s been a while back since I read it but I remember liking the anti-hero, prince Bastian more than all other characters. However, it felt that all characters were adequately developed, with the required depth that the story and audience needs and expects. Descriptions are lush and wonderful but they don’t stretch that much to take up too much of the plot and feel an exaggeration. Overall, this read was more than I expected and I’m super glad to have the opportunity of having an advanced copy! ☞ What matters more for you? World building or character development? Or both?

The first advantage of this read is its characters. They feel so real, so next door people that instinctively you want to get to know them. They are not trying to be likeable but as a reader you will definitely find something to relate to. Then, moving on with the story, there is no way you will not find yourself laughing! I caught myself laughing many times at the beach! Some of the puns, situations and reactions are SO funny! Real and raw but simultaneously funny too. The kind that teaches you that life can be tough but making fun of it will help overcome the struggles. Lastly, the story was a big plus too. Had many layers to it and didn’t disappoint once. It had a nice, continuous flow, with the actions & events spread in such a nice way that reading it was a breeze.
