Es la primera vez que leo a la autora y su pluma me ha encantado ya que es muy ligera y adictiva. ❤️🔥 El libro está narrado desde los dos puntos de vista, por lo que podremos ir conociendo la historia desde una doble perspectiva. Legend of Elberkhan is the debut of the indie author Yuxiao Chen. I hadn't heard about this author or this book before, but when she messaged me I was drawn to the synopsis. This book sounds like an unique story and I was curious to find out what this debut would have in store. Will Yuxiao Chen surprise her readers? I wasn't blown away by this book at all. I think this debut could have been much better if only there was more attention to the character development in stead of the storyline. In addition I would have loved to see more details in the exciting scenes and less detail in the less important scenes. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ This book took me so long to finish, I just kept putting it down, it didn’t hold my attention.🤦🏻♀️ I so wanted it to be good & live up to the hype… But it was long, with unlikeable characters, unbelievable scenarios which could easily be clearer up, and before we are even a quarter of the way through we know the whole story, there is no tension or suspense it just plods along.🤷🏻♀️ It wasn’t a horrible read, it just could have been so much more! Bride by Ali Hazelwood Review 4/5⭐️ Hey book lovers! I’ve just finished Bride and wanted to give a bit of a review on the book. Overall I enjoyed reading this book, it’s got the enemies to lovers vibe with an arranged marriage. It made me laugh a few times at the FMCs whitty remarks and comments. This book also has some smut which was definitely a surprise but was really well written into the book and didn’t feel awkward to read like some other books. We cannot forget about the whole “knot” situation!! Wow I didn’t understand the spoilers about this but I sure do now😂 The first page of this book had me hooked and captivated. However it did feel a bit like an information dump. It was slightly predictable and cheesy but I actually really enjoyed that aspect of this book. The Walnut Tree, Women, Violence and the Law: A Hidden History by Kate Morgan I listened to this on Audible, and this was as much rage inducing as it was interesting. This non fiction book focuses on a few key historical legal situations around women and the law. In many ways I am grateful for how far we have come forward, but it isn't perfect and there are definitely still attitudes towards women that still happen now as they may have done 200 years ago. Knox and Avery are the total opposite to one another, he's the tattooed bad boy wearing only black, she's a "princess" gymnast thriving in pink! I adored their dynamic, their banter, their chemistry and loved watching them fall slowly for each other 🩷🖤 As always I really enjoyed the characters: Knox has a hard, arrogant, Bad boy exterior but he's such a loyal family guy and he would do anything for his brothers and loved ones. I admired Avery's strength, her resilience, her ability to stand up to Knox. Come prima cosa voglio ribadire il fatto che mi diverto un sacco a leggere i libri di Kristoff, con il suo modo di scrivere così irriverente, ironico e, in questo caso specifico, fortemente tragicomico! Inoltre, non ci facciamo mai mancare neanche un linguaggio un po' colorito e in questa saga credo che ci stia davvero a pennello! 🤣 Mi sono resa conto che ne avevo bisogno, che mi mancava, ma soprattutto mi mancavano i personaggi di questa storia, tra cui il mio amatissimo Gabriel de León 🥹🖤 La storia riprende dove si è lasciato con il primo, Gabriel è riuscito a salvare il Graal, e dopo aver voltato le spalle ai suoi confratelli Santi d'Argento, rimasto solo e animato da una nuova fede, cercherà di porre fine al sine die: una coltre che oscura il sole da anni. In questo lungo cammino, affronterà numerosi nemici, troverà alleati e al contempo dovrà lottare contro una sete che è sempre più insopportabile. In questo racconto verremo a conoscenza di fatti sempre più controversi, misteriosi, inquietanti, ma soprattutto di verità davvero difficili da comprendere e accettare. Infatti, sicuramente rispetto al primo volume, qui avremo tante risposte alle domande che si erano formate in passato e, pagina dopo pagina, la tensione è sempre più alta. Come era stato anche con il primo, essere a conoscenza che tutto il racconto sia narrato dalla voce di Gabriel mentre è imprigionato dagli stessi mostri a cui ha sempre dato la caccia, rende il tutto ancora più interessante e misterioso su quanto accaduto. Ciò significa che le vicende sono tutte al passato e questa cosa, fidatevi, fa la differenza! Inoltre, qui si aggiunge anche un secondo narratore e i due punti di vista ad un certo punto vanno ad intrecciarsi. ⬇️ CONTINUA ⬇️

Two books set in Japan that I have read recently and I loved both of them ❤️ What You Are Looking For Is In The Library is a book of translated short stories about individuals who are at a stage in life where they feel lost and the books within the library hold the key to finding themselves. Abroad In Japan is a memoir by Chris Broad who moved to Japan ten years ago to teach English and has since stayed and made a life out there. It's a great insight into Japanese culture with a lot of funny stories thrown into the mix. Jest to bardzo wartościowa i wciągająca powieść młodzieżowa, która spodoba się również starszym czytelnikom (czego jestem przykładem). Lekturę dodatkowo współtworzy również pochodząca ze Szwecji autorka. Zacznę od tego, że jestem zakochana w oprawie graficznej oraz wszystkich ilustracjach, które znajdują się w środku. Emilia Dziubak stworzyła przepiękne i idealnie współgrające z treścią obrazki, które mnie zachwyciły. Natomiast sam tekst, chociaż nie należy do najdłuższych, jest wartościowy i zdecydowanie uroczy. Książeczka przedstawia historię tytułowej Szpinakowej Staruszki, która mieszka w lesie i za wszelką cenę próbuje nie dopuścić do nadejścia wiosny. Pewnego dnia staruszka zostaje zabrana przez nadąsanego chłopca, spacerującego z mamą po lesie. W środku znajdziemy również inne postacie mieszkające wśród natury m.in. narratora historii, którym jest stary dąb. "Szpinakowa Staruszka" to piękna historia o stracie i przyjaźni oraz o zmianach zachodzących nie tylko w otoczeniu, ale również w bohaterach. "Nic do stracenia" Przemysław Piotrowski, 8/10 Za książkę w ramach współpracy dziękuję @wydawnictwoczarnaowca. _ Luta Karabina przeżyła koszmar kiedy to jej córeczka została porwana przez grupę przestępczą zajmującą się handlem żywym towarem. Karabina była jedną z najlepszych kobiet w siłach specjalnych i wraz z pomocą byłego policjanta Zygmunta Szatana odzyskała córkę z rąk porywaczy. Po tych wydarzeniach Luta starała się prowadzić spokojne życie, niestety okazało się, że ktoś zaczął interesować się sprawą, a na domiar złego zmarł jej dziadek. Karabina wraz z dziećmi udała się do Turcji żeby pożegnać ukochanego krewnego. Dopiero tam dowiedziała się czym jest prawdziwe piekło. "Nic do stracenia" to drugi tom serii "Luta Karabina" z gatunku kryminał, thriller. Jest to również powieść jednego z moich ulubionych, rodzimych pisarzy, który napisał świetny cykl o Igorze Brudnym. Przemysław Piotrowski jest autorem, który nigdy mnie nie zawiódł, a sięgając po jego twórczość wiem czego mogę się spodziewać. W tym przypadku ponownie zostałam wciągnięta do świata pełnego brutalności, krzywdy, przerażających wydarzeń oraz bezwzględnych postaci. I tak jak w przypadku poprzednich historii teraz również nie mogłam oderwać się od książki, która okazała się niezwykle angażująca i poruszająca. W tej serii podoba mi się fakt, że Przemysław Piotrowski w głównej roli umieścił silną, zdeterminowaną i odważną postać kobiecą, która zrobi wszystko żeby ocalić swoich bliskich. Książka z pewnością nie przypadnie do gustu osobom wrażliwym, ponieważ w środku znajdziemy wiele krwawych i szokujących opisów.
