Running on this summer-like evening was the bestest choice I’ve had in a while. Warming up to TTPD and finishing it with a hot and spicy hiit run was 🤌🔥 I am recording a podcast tomorrow and it is going to be all over the place because that’s exactly how i feel my life has been this past week- filled with lessons and nuggets and eye-opening, jaw-dropping ahas. It’s wild to me how much clarity i have in this 44th year of life and my sight is set on one thing specifically… Choosing me. What’s right for me. My life. My babies (fur and human) My future. My energy. I’m taking back ALL of my power and really intentionally thinking before doing ANYTHING, does this support this goal of ME? Is this me choosing me? F YES to my life. F YES to my growth. F YES to those that are a F YES to me, because i know my worth and those are MY PEOPLE!🫶✨ Life is short. Spend it with people who make you laugh and feel loved♥️😘

Attempting a 16 hour night time run. It was initially a 26 hour run. At hour 10 some chips built up on the laser and it timed out during a tool brake check(checking 100% of the tools). This has been the only reason long cycle times have been interrupted. It's contingent on the parts and how the chips are being removed from the part. I think I am going to tee into the air blast, and route over an additional line to the laser. The laser already has some air blast lines, but I think it could use a little extra help. When the tool check routine happens she will get a little extra air blast to clear any stuck chips. I think the cutting oil probably makes the chips a little more sticky than water based coolant. 🏃🏼♀️Fastest 5k🏃🏼♀️ Planned a run to mum and dad’s house tonight which I thought was about 2.5k, stay for an hour then run home. Turns out they actually live 3.82k from me 🤣 so to turn up at there house with only 1.18k to go and my fasted time yet seemed just silly. So I had to get that sub 30 minute 5k under my belt 💪🏻 Needed it a lot! My head has been full of so much today I was a right moody cow before I went out (just ask the hubby 🫣) but once I done my first 5k and realised I was running faster than normal it just spurred me on to go faster and further 🏃🏼♀️ The only time I don’t think about work, the kids or my poorly dad is when I’m running. The only thing I think about….. beating my last run time 😂 for the entire half an hour!!! Last night I completed my first ever evening run 🙌🏼 Tried to get a 5K in, but slightly misjudged the route and ended up with 4.5K but hey, who’s counting, I got it done! Was a bit worried about running outside in the dark, I might slip over and die no one would find me till I didn’t turn up to work this morning, or Id get kidnapped, or run over or worse!!! But I got out there and got it done! Twilight long run, finishing in the dark. We had to leave it until late afternoon, as @timbo.runs had an exam first. Thankfully we’re tapering for Lanzarote Marathon next weekend, so we only needed a 10k. It was still completely dark by the end, and just a wee bit chilly🥶.

As I left for my nighttime run I told myself I'd have an uneventful evening.....🌕 In one night...a Possum ran across my path, I accidentally surprised a Skunk who started to gesture like he was going to spray. I came upon a Red Fox who was, lets just say 'not scared.' I stopped at a park to fix my shoe lace and a Coyote came from behind me and trotted around in front of me (If you think they're not stalking you, you'd be dead wrong) a bat, that flew so low & almost in my face I was wondering if it was 'after' me and a very large Racoon sitting at the base of a tree right at the edge of the sidewalk, who scared the bloody hell outta me as I was trying to cool down. 🦊🦇🐺 Oh, and I 'don't' live in the country! ✨ I definitely won't be missed on my evening runs 🕯️ Sadly, now the clocks have gone back, it's inevitable that some training runs will be in the dark so for now, the high viz and lights are just as important as my Garmin. 🙌🏼 A short run last night turned out to be just what I needed. The rain decided to make an appearance just as I stepped outside but do you know what? Running in the rain is actually quite invigorating 🌧️ and sometimes, there's really no avoiding it in the UK! // November 1, 2023 TFW you sustain 9.0mph (6:40/mile) for a full minute, feel like you could have pushed it for 2, and realize that a #BQ might actually be within reach. With a shit ton of hard ass work and some really intentional and smart training 🤓 I’m in a hard season right now.
