Afternoon Mates 😊💙☕️ Our May WalkAndTalk with Katrina is next Sunday! John Merricks' Lake at King Lears, Syston Sunday 2nd June at 11am We will be meeting in the John Merricks' car park. I will wait until 11.15am for everyone to arrive before leaving the car park to ensure we don't leave anyone behind. Everyone is welcome! Come and join our safe space with no judgements and a friendly face 😊 don't forget to bring a water bottle with you, if you wish and to wear some comfortable shoes. It is optional for anyone who would like to meet for drinks or a spot of lunch afterwards. There is also a coffee van at John Merricks' Lake for those who wish to grab a warm drink. I feel truly honoured and proud that Mental Health Mates Beverley have been nominated for a Best of Beverley award by Beverley Town Council - BTC 💙 Over the last 5 years, I've met some truly amazing people and community groups and also made so many new friends. We've been joined by people who struggle with their mental health, people who have lost loved ones, people who want to make new friends and people who find every single day a challenge. Despite their own fears and sadness, they have found the courage to come along and share their stories in the hope it will help others feel less alone. Sadly, we have also lost members along the way, which has been heartbreaking, but also showed the importance a community group can have during the darkest times. I couldn't be prouder of the amazing group that we have created together, and I am truly grateful to each and every person who has ever attended.
