Rezension #243 Jeff Lemire - ,,Sweet Tooth" --- Deluxe Band 2 --- Im zweiten Band geht die Geschichte rasant weiter. Nachdem ,,Jepperd" sein Ziel erreicht hat, plagen ihn große Schuldgefühle. Er hat ,,Gus", den Jungen mit Hirschgeweih verraten und ihm der grausamen Miliz überlassen. Er beschließt, eine Gruppe zusammenzustellen, um diese anzugreifen und die Hybriden Kinder zu befreien. Währenddessen sitzt ,,Gus" im Gefängnis und freundet sich mit den anderen Kindern an. Auch er begreift, wo er gelandet ist und wünscht sich nichts sehnlicher als auszubrechen. Er lernt im Gebäude den Aufpasser ,,Johnny" kennen, mit dem er sich anfreunden wird. Dieser verhilft den Hybriden schließlich zur Flucht. Aber die Kinder sind trotz allem nicht sicher. Sie werden weiterhin verfolgt. Durch einige Umwege und Gefahren werden sie und ihre Helfer einen Ort finden, der ihnen Sicherheit versprechen könnte. Während dieser Handlung versuchen Ärzte wie der bekannte ,,Singh"und andere Wissenschaftler weiter zu erfahren, was es mit den Mutationen auf sich hat. Eine Antwort scheint es im Staat Alaska zu geben und ,,Gus" könnte der Schlüssel zur Lösung sein... Band 13 - 25 führen die Geschichte vom ersten Abschnitt direkt weiter. Gerade die Verfolgung und Unsicherheit wird in diesem Band sehr deutlich. Der unbedingte Wille in Freiheit zu leben, treibt die Geschichte der vielschichtigen Charaktere an. Einige Wendungen in der Handlung sind so perfekt in Szene gesetzt, dass man nicht aufhören kann immer weiter zu lesen. Die Konflikte zwischen den Figuren sind realistisch und tiefgründig erzählt. Die Zeichnungen gefallen mir in diesem Band sogar noch ein Stück besser. Traumsequenzen und Wirklichkeit gehen häufig ineinander über, sodass man gespannt über die Seiten fliegt. Im Bonusteil gibt es noch eine kleine Kurzgeschichte aus der Vergangenheit, und Interpretationen von anderen Künstlern mit dem Werk. Ein rundum gelungenes Buch, was ich unbedingt weiterempfehlen muss. Жахливе вбивство… і все заради того, щоб залучити ГГ до справи. Він -«Шифр», який вправно маніпулює іншими. Вона -«Войовниця», яка більше за все прагне зупинити небезпечного вбивцю. Історія прям хороша, розкривається поступово, герої доволі таки добре описані, гарно розкриті та цікаві. Захопливо було спостерігати, як вміло вбивця вмів перевтілюватись в інших людей, бути тим ким не є🫣, і причому це було все так переконливо, що не віриш своїм очам. І це прям лякало😱на стільки можна входити в інший образ, ставати іншим. Інтригуючими були і «шифрові» завдання. Мені не сподобалось саме прізвисько ГГ «Войовниця», чомусь саме воно прям здалось мені тут не тим, що треба. Краще було б, як на мене, просто «ГЕРОЇНЯ». Мені здавалося, що вбивця набагато розумніший від ГГ, він завжди на крок попереду. Кінцівка трохи була передбачувана, але непогана. Einen schönen Vatertag euch allen. Passend dazu ein Bild aus bzw von meinem Bücherregal im Wohnzimmer. Ein Hoch auf meinen Mann, den er hat er mir sogar selber gebaut. Ganz genau passend für das Stück Wand das noch frei war. Gut, aktuell kann ich nur ca. 1, 5 Regalbretter davon nutzen, den der Rest ist voll Spielzeug oder Sachen die unbedingt aus der Reichweite der Kinder müssen. Kann also noch ca. 4-8 Jahre dauern dann hab ich ein ganzes Regal für mich. Und der Welt beste Mann und Vater hat mir versprochen er richtet mir auch ein Bücherzimmer ein, samt angepassten Regalen und allem drum und dran. Allerdings müßte dafür eins der Kinder ausziehen. Kann also nur so 10 - 15 Jahre dauern. Mein Book Nook ist fertig. Sieht es nicht wunderschön aus.🤩🤩 Zwei Tage war ich dran. Wer es noch nicht kennt: Man bekommt eine Box mit vorgefertigten Teilen. Eine Anleitung führt uns durch den Aufbau des Hauses. Kleber ist nicht dabei, denn müsst ihr daheim haben. Dann kann es auch schon losgehen. Top fand ich, dass bei den Kleinteilen immer Backups vorhanden waren. Wenn dann mal eins kaputt ging, war es nicht schlimm. Aber mühsam.😏 Teilweise waren Teile sehr klein u diese dann in die vorgesehenen Löcher zu bringen, fast unmöglich. Aber Gott sei Dank war eine Nagelpfeile mit dabei. So hat man die Enden einfach etwas schmaler gemacht u dann ging es reibungslos. Der Aufbau hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht u u sehen wie das Haus Stück für Stück entsteht. Für Licht sorgt eine kleine Batterie, die hinten im Haus verborgen ist. Über ein Touchschalter wird das Licht aktiviert. Wer mehr sehen will, schau sich mein Reel an. Das Haus kann als Buchstütze oder einfach Solo hinstellen werden. Man bekommt die Book Nook in Verschiedenen Aufführungen. Book Review 🥧🍒 Name: Love, Lies, and Cherry Pie by Jackie Lau Genres: Contemporary Romance, Fake Dating Rating: 4/5 ⭐ Happy release day to Love, Lies, and Cherry Pie!! This book was so freaking cute and entertaining!! I finished it in like three days and could not put it down. The book also takes place in Toronto (mostly) which was a lot of fun to read because there were so many references that I understood! Also, I NEVER annotate but I ended up annotating the e-book and that was a lot of fun! Some things I liked about the book: 🍒Emily was SO relatable sometimes!! Though I’m not sure that’s entirely a good thing because she is 33 while I’m not even 20…🫣 🥧I loved Mark’s character, he was reserved at first but opened up more as he got closer to Emily in a natural way 🍒Emily’s relationship with her family and how she navigates the ups and downs of being in a big Asian family 🥧Ms. Muffins, she was the best part about this book! 🍒How Emily and Mark can be their true selves around each other without having to pretend to be someone else. They are SO cute together!! 🥧All the book/writing references and comments 🍒The fact that the book took place in Toronto!! Was war dein Lese- Highlight im April? Gelesen hab ich im April 9 Bücher und ein E-book. Der Schwur des Alphas, mehr Wolfsrudel geht nicht..🐺❤🐺 Herzklopfen nicht ausgeschlossen, ein absolutes Wohlfühlbuch. Herzflüstern war mir fast zu jung aber trotzdem richtig schön. Wedding Date war super lustig, bitte mehr davon. Kann ich gerade gut gebrauchen. Spark of time konnte ich kaum aus der Hand legen. Die Wortweberin hat ein wirklich interessantes Magie System, bin gespannt wie es weiter geht. Foxglove war besser als Band eins und ich glaube Band drei könnte noch besser werden. This Woven Kingdom hat mich mit dem Schreibstiel und einer richtig tollen Geschichte echt überrascht. Mais les jeux de l'enfance sont interrompus par l'arrivée de l'État islamique, qui l'enlève et fait de lui un "lionceau" : un jeune dressé pour combattre les ennemis de Daesh. C'est son histoire que raconte dans cette BD la journaliste Anne Poiret , servie par le dessin de Lars Horneman pour Éditions Delcourt dans sa collection Encrages. Ce dernier est astucieux : il utilise l'interface d'un écran de jeu vidéo de type "first-person shooter", qui consiste à tirer sur un ennemi dans un terrain de guerre, pour faire transition avec la réalité des combats sanglants de Daesh. Car pour les enfants soldats comme Mahar, la frontière entre le virtuel et le réel est fragile, tant le réel les a marqués dans leur chair et leur esprit. Anne Poiret a noué une relation de confiance avec Mahar, et la force de cette BD c'est de livrer un récit inédit : celui d'un enfant devenu malgré lui un soldat endoctriné, puis un jeune adulte extirpé des conflits et de la radicalisation. En 2020, lorsqu'Anne Poiret rencontre Mahar pour la 1e fois dans un camp de déplacés au Kurdistan irakien, le fait de témoigner l'amène à chercher à comprendre ce qui lui est arrivé, et comment il peut continuer de vivre après avoir contribué aux combats de l'État islamique, qui prônait pourtant la haine des siens. Pour cette BD reportage, le dessin de Lars Horneman alterne entre illustration du témoignage de Mahar, et éléments de localisation, paysages désertiques ou villes en ruines. Si les faits dessinés sont parfois violents, la dignité accordée à ce récit est apportée par l'écoute et l'écriture de la journaliste Anne Poiret. The Apollo Murders by Chris Hadfield Maybe it is the oppressive weather here in London right now that is driving the need for a sun soaked holiday, which of course means having the perfect holiday read. If you’re looking for pure escapism, the right amount of tension and jeopardy, intertwined with a rich level of detail from an actual real life astronaut, this is your perfect holiday read. Chris Hadfield is a Canadian astronaut who spent over 160 days in space and was the commander of the International Space Station. Not only does he write with a level of authority on NASA, the Apollo missions and the technical aspects of space flight, he also gives an insight into the mentality and attitude required to fly into space. I’d also just like to indulge for a moment to simply say how much I’m enjoying this whole process of identifying places to take photos, and the engagement I’m enjoying from the whole book community. I’m not particularly creative nor do I take good photos, but I’m loving the process of reading a book and trying to match up a good place to take a photo. In this instance I am in the London Science Museum in front of a copy of Buzz Aldrin’s Apollo 11 space suit. I’ve also had great conversations and excellent recommendations from so many random people all over the world and I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone I’ve chatted with. I cried. Twice. This one really hit. I can't really express every single emotional rollercoaster I went on so you'll just have to read it. I will say however I have one criticism - that incredibly brutal scene near the end was quickly forgotten as "it needed to happen" and I feel something that severe and traumatic shouldn't have been quickly moved passed. I understand both characters had little control over the situation but I don't like how it's played off as fine because "Shen knew what would happen". It made me feel very sick to my stomach even if possession was the main reason for it happening. This series is wild. I absolutely adore this series because it makes fun of different troupes found in webcomics and fandom culture that it ends up being absolutely wild and extremely entertaining. I just can't get over how much I love these characters and the bizarre twists and turns.
