Hi everyone. It's been a long time. I can't believe the first four months of this year are over. I feel like I just celebrated Christmas but so much has happened between then and now. But yeah this usually happens, the first couple months are slow and then everything kind of accelerates towards the summer and then the fall and it jumps into the next year. Is this what happens when you get older, the years just fly by? It's even more apparent when you have kids how fast everything goes. But anyways, Baby T #2 is 8 1/2 months and his big brother, Big T is almost 3 years old. Can you believe he's almost three? We're already starting to plan for his birthday. I've been on this journey officially 6 years, since I've married, but in actuality 7 years if you count attempted egg freezing the year before I got married. In fact, this page is 5 years old, I think I had started it in April 2019 during National Infertility Awareness Week, which just ended. Anyways I'm just saying how much time has passed. I went back to work in January after maternity leave and it had been such a roller coaster, which culminated in a company-wide layoff which was announced 2 weeks ago. I was unfortunately a part of that so now I'll have to find a new job in the next few months. I was looking during maternity leave but, the announcement of the layoff just accelerated my feeling to move on. I haven't actively looked for a job in almost 10 years so I have to put myself out there and network which is draining as an anxious introvert. Sigh...now that I'm a working mom, I definitely have to put the family in the equation for my next gig in terms of flexibility. But I'm grateful for the company I worked for, I still have a couple more months to go. I'm especially grateful for the fertilty benefits which helped me to start this family in the first place. In terms of baby updates, baby T #2 is teething and crawling and I can't believe this is my last phase of this since he's our 2nd and last child. So I'm savoring every moment. His big brother, is a full on toddler and speaking in sentences in some ways and the edges are smoothing from his terrible twos era but not completely.Lol. Ok, that's my update!
And the marathon continues 🏃♀️ An update since my last post: 🇹🇭 Went to Thailand for 3 months ❌ Period disappeared for 3 months 🌿 Tried Traditional Chinese Medicine ✅ Period came back and has been consistent for 2 months now ❌❌ 2 months of negative pregnancy tests since This month I’m back testing with @mirafertility and have stocked up on some more Fertility Plus wands to go with it. Infertility sucks. It's a tedious journey that can rob you of things you never expected. Not every pregnancy results in a baby and not everyone forced to walk this path ends their journey with the family of their dreams. Infertility is heartbreaking. Every loss is more than a dream deferred. It's life that never made it earthside and someone you never got to meet in person. Infertility taught me hard lessons I never anticipated. It totally changed me. I am no longer the person I was before it entered my life, but somehow I came out on the otherside of it. . . . Infertility showed me that I do have the capacity and the desire to be a good mother despite my hormonal imbalances telling me the opposite for years. It prepared my heart to be the mother my son needs and taught me to find the joy in the battles that led me to my daughter. Infertility is hard. But it's strengthened the bonds between my husband and I (and our families), brought me amazing friends, and showed me just how capable I am. It forged my perseverance because I refuse to let it break me. . . . Infertility is complex, so hearing as many diverse narratives as possible is required to even begin to grasp all that it is. My story is like many you may hear or seek out. My son is my triple rainbow babe and my daughter is too. Hashtag "success story."
