Hi friends! It’s hard to believe that I’m posting the May 2024 Calendar. This year is flying by fast! The word of the month is tolerance. I’ve really enjoyed having a focus word each month. I really want to get my message out there this month so I hope you will read it and check out this months quotes #ontheblog. I think about them often and it makes me want to be a better person! So here’s to May 2024! The word of the month: tol·er·ance /ˈtäl(ə)rəns/ noun the ability or willingness to toleratesomething, in particular the existence of opinions or behavior that one does not necessarily agree with. PEACE BEGINS WITH TOLERANCE AND RESPECT FOR EVERYONE! I have experienced a lot lately where people say mean things about people that don’t align with their beliefs or lifestyle. Some of these things I have felt as a personal dig but it’s mostly directed at others. I don’t even think these people realize what they are saying or intending it to be mean, but it is! So let’s think before we speak. If it’s putting someone down for being different then don’t say it!! On the other hand, there are some things in life we shouldn’t tolerate, and that is important too. I hope to touch base on some of those things also this month and will probably be doing a post on that also. This topic was something that I have felt strongly about and I have wanted to voice my feelings/opinions on this without being offensive. That’s why I have chosen to focus on it in the May 2024 calendar. It has been my intension to post thoughts and quotes on my instagram and Facebook pages that relate to the word of the month. I haven’t been the best at it but that will change this month. I will be posting about tolerance and the other topics I have chosen for each monthly calendar. I disappeared again. You know how it is, family, jobs, side hustles…h3ll some days just getting out of bed should be appreciated cuz that might be all we seem to accomplish. People can’t splurge on a lot of frivolous things. No hard feelings. But I know I have a lot of skills people can use, just a matter of figuring out how. Looks like uniqueness is celebrated, aplauded. Though these create more seperation, more isolation, otherness, distinction, polarity, where there is none. For one it creates a veil by which you can dismiss, never having to acknowledge or consider what the other is saying or doing. That goes both ways, each side superior. The witch wound is so real. It is so real and so valid to want to protect yourself when you know that you will never fit in. When you know you are different but are afraid of showing it to the world. 🥀 I understand. I felt so out of place for so long. Felt like the odd one out. Never felt like it was safe for me to express my true thoughts, my perspective, my values, or what I believed in and I was damn good at hiding it. Letting everyone else think I’m just like them, I’m good when inside I was so full of rage and melancholy and sadness and never knew why. I just thought there was something inherently wrong with me and I accepted it, learned to live with it. I dimmed my light accordingly as it felt like a fair price to pay over risking fully & unapologetically being myself and the fear that came with it. 🌑 Until I learned about the witch wound and everything clicked. No wonder I was so afraid to share pieces of me that I would’ve been persecuted for and much worse back in the day. 💔 The irony is that while writing this I’m sitting in Salzburg - one of the most gruesome places for witches during the burning times. But those times are over. 💫 It’s time to take that power back and step into it fully embracing the shit out of it. No longer betraying myself for the sake of fitting in. That chapter is closed but it was necessary to go through the healing, necessary to get me to where I am today and I’m so happy about it. This is a brand new book. A brand new motivation.
