A CAVE SPEAKS TO ME La Cueva del Oso - Bear's Cave 🐻 January ,1st, 2024 I heard American Indians speaking and singing. A song to connect to the One Creator. I was meditating inside the cave- voices came in softly through my right earbud. I was listening to a guided meditation and like someone changing the dial on a radio station to my surprise native American voices started to emerge softly and clear. I thought - Am I really hearing this? Then I asked to hear it again. Again, I heard them speak in their native language. A heart based language that carries a deeply felt vibration. I could feel the transmission in my heart - I heard a cry about a soul calling out from their heart in a longing song/chant connecting to the earth and all living things. A cry of recognizing themselves in her and a longing and remembrance for the creator, the Central Sun. I understood that this is their way of communicating- via their heart's language - A vibrational ❤️🔥call that can carry all types of information 🗣️ I have been opening up my channel more and more to connect to spirit. I had a dream last night (after taking the dream weaver tincture) that I was sitting in a huge rocking chair in the stars and all these elders were around me and I was simply rocking back and forth and they said that was what time was. Just like rocking back and forth. And so the way you move forward is the way you move back. And that effects your equilibrium, your present. That’s how we heal the past in the now. That’s how we decide the future, from this moment right now. And that’s how our past is never really behind us. We are just in the center of it all now. I share this as a way to empower. To know that any sort of healing we feel we need, can be like rocking in a chair. Any sort of healing our ancestors ask of us is exactly what can propel us into a more beautiful ‘future’. As we move in the direction of bringing our year to a close, this beautiful time beckons us to grow gratitude within. Yet how can we open to gratitude amid such turbulent times? 💔 This is a question I've been asking myself as a daughter of Palestinian parents. My cousin @will_salameh recently posted this photo of our grandparents Father Boutros and Afifeh Salameh, along with the beautiful share in how they were both born and raised in Palestine until having to flea their home and abandon their land in 1948. Yet before that they lived in peace, knowing no other than to live in harmony with all people. 🕊️ This was a heartwarming reminder of how we are all intrinsically peaceful beings longing for connection. …And it is only fear that creates separation. ~ For Our True Nature is Love ~ We often forget how blessed we are. Pretending to write cursive since 3 yrs of age. I learned calligraphy when I was 12. This one was specifically talking to me. The color and the clip caught my eye. The clip looked like a feather at first then it morphed into what I thought was an angel wing. But the wood. The gentleman that hand makes them tells me: These ones specifically, the dendrochronological date for this Irish Bog Oak sample dates back to 4663BC TO 4496BC! It was one the coolest first moments ever. My son saw a few, so we decided to finish the festivities first and make an intentional decision. Well. My boy isn't like most kids. He'd rather a very special unique, reusable item. He understands value. Longevity. In his own words, "I can pass this on to someone special someday Mom. Plus, I have a message to perfect and continue to write until it's heard for speech and debate" 🪽 Yes son. Together with six performers, they develop an embodied exploration of untold and imagined histories. Weaving throughout a sonic sculpture, the group uses performance’s hyper-attentive care to call in and hold experiences of private and personal memories of family lore, real and imagined histories, and womxn’s visible/invisible labor, ultimately asking “what is long ago, but still right now?” [ ]’s multiplicities as a performance-installation invite many levels of engagement from the public. When offered as a public installation, visitors may move through the instrument, creating their own path, their own relationship to the objects, and building their own layers of meaning. These participants may also offer their own mini oral histories or other sonic contributions to be recorded, with their consent, for inclusion in future sound banks. Installation runs from 1:00-5:00pm during NSOP from Monday, August 28th through Friday, September 1st.
