I once was the girl who didn't want to be seen. I didn't want to be heard. I hated my reflection in the mirror & despised the sound of my voice. I hid from cameras & I shut down if someone heard me singing. I loved singing but with the music up loud so I couldn't hear myself. Until I began the journey of coming home to myself. The journey of loving & accepting myself. Until I looked through my shadows & began to love them. I began reclaiming all parts of me. The parts hidden in fear & shame. The parts of me that were scared to be seen. The parts that didn't feel safe to speak up. I've been journeying for years now through all parts of me, both shadow & light. I continue to journey through layers, calling them home & welcoming them with unconditional love. I've walked this path of growth & evolution for me, for my children & for all of those who walked before me & are yet to come after me. I'm no longer scared to be seen or witnessed in my full expression. I'm no longer worried about others' judgements of my voice. I stand in my power, welcoming openness & expansion into my being. Inviting all parts of me to be here as a healthy whole soul. I've walked this path of reclamation through the fire & I hold out my hand to walk with you too. So you can stand in your truth. 3rd May, my first hiking day on #elba. My route today: Rio Marina to Cavo, via spiaggia Ortano (a loop into the opposite direction). My phone congratulates me to 35.951 steps and 24,75 km. I arrived by ferry in #riomarina the sky full of clouds, it rained the day before and I had all my fingers crossed that I hopefully will not be rained on the whole hike. But luckily no rain at all. It got sunny pretty soon. After 15 minutes on the way I could not stop smiling 😁 I missed this so much. My first little loop before hiking to cavo was the #sentierodellamore. Easy nice hike with beautiful views. Back in Rio Marina I needed to do some troubleshooting while eating very yummy ice-cream. My way took me through a past mine area and they forbid to enter without a guide even if my official hiking route was showing me that it passes through exactly this area. The bureau of the mine area was closed till 3.30 pm and it was 1 o'clock. I decided not to wait, so I literally hit the road for the next 45 or so minutes till I found my way back on a hiking trail in a non restricted area. After that the hike took me through some #märchenwald till I finally artived at the beach in Cavo. I had a super tasty dinner in #maheristorantepub. Surrendering to whatever will be will be, and feeling all that has to be felt is a powerful and brave action but takes vulnerablity and courage to let go (really let go), which can be tricky of you have always pushed through and past all obstacles with just pure strength.. this is a lesson I am learning as much as I admire my resilience I have had enough of being strong all the time.. 💗💗💗 I wish to be soft and to feel safe to be that vulnerable as well, it is hard to do when your default setting is high guard, I feel my walls are coming down to bring in balance of both aspects and welcome in the softness (even how triggering that word is) I am going to and am integrating the new and softer side and embracing how uncomfortable it feels.. 💗💗💗 Feeling unattached to anything and any outcome in any situation, releasing any need of control just going with the flow.. knowing that I am always protected whatever phase I am going through.. for the last 2 days I kept saying I have had enough (not knowing what I was even referring to) and the penny dropped last night.. Despite pending surgery in less than 30 days, I am determined to focus on some strength work to help me heal faster. Hit the local Y for circuit training. Not my favorite, but it will due until I’m ready to get back to it. June 25 will be 6-weeks post surgery. Ran 1.36 to the Y, strength work for 45 minutes, then ran 1.36 home! This photo gets me every time... Our life was so perfect together. I can see you in our kitchen - you loved cooking, so much passion. That T-Shirt cracks me up. And the kids' drawings of us - that was us to the T. Our life is so different now - a different perfect, even if it comes with so much more intensity these days. Hey ya’ll! I wanted to get on here for those asking when the next RSFJ Session is or when the New Year’s shirt will be revealed/ released. The simplest answer, in due time. 😊 One thing I always tell the people I lead is that, It is He who is consistent/ constant, not me. I do get asked how I stay consistent in teaching and leading, my response, “No Sir/Ma’am, I take breaks.” I always take much needed breaks between sessions. Why? Because I am human. I get tired. I get weary and heavy burdened. I do it to Seek the Lord for a New Word/lesson. I do it to surrender it all back to Him so I stay the course. I do it to recalibrate. I do it to be filled over and over again because I refuse to give Him my second best. The first week of 2024 has been a doozy. I’ve had to adjust to major changes in my environment, as I watched the green space right next to my home sanctuary being destroyed. What was once a protective cove of old trees is now a flattened wasteland occupied by chainsaws and bulldozers. They even bulldozed the place where I had planted a small flowering shrub on top of my old cat’s grave. That caused me an immense amount of pain. It has been unsettling to say the least. And yet, I am grateful for the natural beauty and peace that remains on this magical island… the many places I can go for solitude and solace when needed. I am trusting the sometimes painful process of shedding old habits, old places, and old memories. I am making space for bigger dreams to begin weaving. Using this to galvanize forward momentum into a new phase, which frankly probably wouldn’t happen if I was allowed to stay in a familiar and comfortable space. #shedding #releasing #resetting #recalibrating #onwardandupward #nextlevelmindset #downbutnotout

I have just ended a huge chapter of my life and went through waaayyyy too much to allow for anything but the best for myself for the future! Over the past several years (and especially the past year) I have put others before myself, had zero work/life balance, lost myself and a lot of my core values in setting boundaries, all which ultimately allowed disrespect towards myself and others I really care about around me. I’m posting this because the reality of what chemo does to you is harsh. But it’s very easy to hide it away. Today was my last day. 6 months, done. But rather than excitement and relief I feel indifferent, and a little scared… I can’t actually remember anymore what it feels like to feel well. A friend summed it up in a message to me today: “The whole experience is such a shock to the mind as well as the body, it takes a while to recalibrate”. One thing I do know, I am definitely ready to start reclaiming my life. Even if it does take a while❤️ #recalibrating #chemodone
