Hejka 🌸 Będąc w Swansea wstąpiliśmy do Plantasia Tropical Zoo. Miałam ochotę zobaczyć rośliny, których raczej się nie spotyka w naszych szerokościach geograficznych. I zobaczyłam! Chociaż niektóre dopiero kwitły, na innych nie było jeszcze owoców (chociażby bananów). Bardzo ciekawy był zakątek złożony z roślin drapieżnych i takich, których zjedzenie jest śmiertelnie groźne. Swój basen mają tam 3 kajmany, których trochę się bałam szczerze mówiąc 😁 Surykatki były nieśmiałe i dlatego proszono o ciszę, żeby ich nie straszyć. Były też duże jaszczurki (nie pamiętam nazw), żółwie, pyton, skorpion(Na szczęście się schował) i ptasznik Goliat (akurat spotkanie z tym stworzeniem pokazało jaką pracę wykonałam ze swoją arachnofobią przez tyle lat 💪). Bilet dla jednej dorosłej osoby kosztuje £8.95. Dodatkowo można zakupić dodatkowe bilety na takie wydarzenia, jak karmienie krokodyli albo spędzienie czasu z opiekunem zwierząt w Zoo. As the fog flowed through, the birds were singing, drips from rain soaked leaves fell on to the ground, all other sounds were muted, even the dog was laying down peacefully taking in the sounds with me. Happy birthday Henry James - 11 years old today and still up for every adventure we take him on! Two of the most beautiful sights we’ve seen on the Welsh coast - the Green Bridge in Pembrokeshire (with attendant nesting guillemot colony) and Tresaith beach just above Cardigan. The sheer awe and wonder of a rare astronomical event when the weather played ball over the skies on Friday night last week. I don't think I'll ever forget the sheer mind blowing experience of seeing the Aurora Borealis with my own eyes. A bucket list moment ticked off and I only had to drive 10 minutes to enjoy it. Moments like this provide a sense of excitement and calm, rejoicing and reminiscing on the present and the past. Thankful for those that have helped me get to where I am today, but there is still time on the clock, still goals to achieve and a life to hopefully leave a mark with. At the weekend we visited @gigrinfarm , just outside of Rhayader, Wales. The farm feeds hundreds of red kites once daily. The sight of literally hundreds of red kites descending is so spectacular to see. We booked a hide to watch the feeding so we were only a few metres away from the red kites as they dove down to grab their food. It was nothing like I’ve ever experienced before. At the farm there is also a beautiful farm trail which we walked that takes you through the farm fields and the woodland area, a really beautiful walk. They have peacocks, donkeys, sheep and guinea pigs to see. We took a picnic with us, and enjoyed coffees and ice creams from the coffee shop.
