I can’t thank Paige enough for suggesting the use of DORWEST Skullcap & Valerian tablets for our 9 year old English Springer Spaniel. Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to our beautiful Baby Boy JD a few weeks ago and not only has it hit us as his owners his little brother has been at a loss also. He has been taking it now for 3 weeks and we have noticed a considerable difference in his behaviour. He is less anxious and even managed a 4 hour trip in the Motorhome without any issues. Sometimes the wounds are too fresh to look at. Sometimes what we need is comfort and softness first. And distance. Again...I hear Skullcap in this. -::- Ive been revisiting my past when i was in an abusive marriage that deeply traumatized me. I had forgotten until last night exactly where it took me. Forgotten the details of how ravaged my heart was, how I was shredded and filled with despair. I saw no way out. My spirit was almost completely broken. I remember now how I felt incapable even to tie my own shoes. Most of the time I dissassociated. Until Skullcap. One day it was like I was shown a movie...watching yet another tirade unfold, another towering misogynistic sermon about how evil I was. Another threat of physical violence. Scutellaria mexicana, Bladder Sage or Paper Bag Bush, is in the Lamiaceae or mint family. The first picture shows its beautiful bilabiate (two-lipped) flower as is often found in this family. Notice the purple calyx (sepals) that are at the base of the petals As the flower. Dies back. The other photos show the calyx swelling to make the distinctive “paper bags”. Despite its common name, this is not a sage.
