Birfdey girl 🤭 Literally, I could not be more grateful for where I’m at in my life. 8 years ago, I may have been horrified by how OLD 35 sounded but now that it’s here, I am seeing the beauty of the accumulated wisdom and energy in motion from taking risks, asking yourself the hard questions and pushing your own comfort zone. Two years ago, I was grieving the loss of my marriage and feeling hopeless. This year, I am feeling the strongest, happiest and most independent I have ever felt in my life. I feel like a bad ass role model to my baby girls. Though I’m continually struggling with some imposter syndrome over the rapid growth of my business, I am living for connecting with these incredibly talented and stunning artists and welcoming the abundance coming into my life! To kick off the launch of my blog on Mother’s Day, I thought I’d share a poem I wrote. This poem is dedicated to every parent out there doing it alone. I know at times celebrating this day is more of a chore than a celebration. Cuando vi #addicted por primera vez @willevy como Quinton, me impactaste muchísimo. No sé si, para ti, fue uno de tus mayores retos. Para mí, es uno de los proyectos en los que más te he visto demostrar el gran actor que eres.Esta historia, más allá de las adicciones, trata sobre las consecuencias que conllevan las vivencias del pasado, que se mantienen en secreto, sobre todo, por miedo o vergüenza. Quinton, tu personaje, es un claro ejemplo de ello. Poco después de ver la película, leí la novela en la que está basada, porque sabía que en ella encontraría el origen del plot twist que surge, sobre todo, por él. Lo que no imaginaba es el pasado tan fuerte, triste y doloroso que carga a su espalda. Es cierto que hubieron muchos cambios de la novela a la película, pero, lo agradezco porque, de no ser así, habría sido una historia demasiado dura de ver y, además, al final, no habría amado tanto a Quinton como lo hago. Porque, por su pasado, pese a lo que siente por Zoe, por mucho que lucha por ella, no logra el final que tanto ansía. Hace tiempo vi la adaptación cinematográfica de la novela de #caridadpiñeiro protagonizada por @willevy y @taylorquinncole la química entre ambos me atrapó tanto, la trama llamó tanto mi atención, que no dudé en leer la novela para conocer la historia completa. Y debo admitir que, la película me encantó, y la novela me terminó de enamorar.Ojalá hubiesen incluido un par de escenas que son muy tiernas e importantes para la relación entre Tony y Sara. Pero, os recomiendo muchísimo que veáis la película y/o leáis la novela (esta última sólo la he encontrado en inglés). Una historia que transmite la importancia de la amistad incondicional. La importancia de perseguir los sueños, teniendo siempre presente el amor en todas sus formas. Pero, por encima de todo, es una historia sobre el valor de la familia y sus tradiciones. @willevy para mí, Tony; tu personaje, y tú os parecéis mucho. Al igual que él, luchaste y sacrificaste muchas cosas por alcanzar tu sueño.
