#Lille #LilleMoulins Au début, il y a Amédée Le Gavrian , qui fonde à Lille avec Isidore Farinaux Le Gavrian et Farinaux en 1843 : ils fabriquent des machines à vapeur ! Ensuite il y a Paul Le Gavrian, le fils d'Amedee qui dirige l entreprise à la mort de son père en 1857. Puis, je ne sais pour quelle raison, Paul cède l'entreprise à son ingénieur principal Victor Brasseur en 1881 , qui lui cédera l'entreprise en 1891 à ses gendres Charles et Jean Crepelle.... Et... encore une fois , je ne sais pour quelle raison, l entreprise prend le nom de #JeanCrepelle&Cie dont on peut lire les initiales sur le logo de la photo très #annees20 ! Ce logo fut installé après la reconstruction de l'usine après l'explosion des #18ponts qui détruisit le quartier en 1916. Depuis, le logo est toujours en place et @atlascopco racheté la société et les lieux et occupe et produit des compresseurs par centaines chaque année dans le quartier Moulins ! Wohnanlage mit Freiflächen und Innenhof 1924-1925 Architekt: Erwin Gutkind Thulestraße 61-63, Eschengraben 54, Hardangerstraße 1-5, Talstraße 1-2A, Berlin-Pankow Photos Daniela Christmann, 2024 Der Wohnblock in Berlin-Pankow wurde 1924 bis 1925 nach Plänen von Erwin Gutkind im Auftrag der Deutschen Gartenstadt-Gesellschaft mbH errichtet. Die Blockecken werden durch Treppenhäuser definiert, von denen eines als filigrane Konstruktion aus horizontalen Stahlbetonbügeln und feingliedrigen Glasscheiben gestaltet ist. Die Wohnanlage umfasste ursprünglich 86 Zwei- bis Dreizimmerwohnungen sowie vier Läden an der südöstlichen Blockecke. The apartment building in Berlin-Pankow was completed between 1924 and 1925 to plans by Erwin Gutkind for the German Garden City Society. The corners of the block are defined by staircases, one of which is a filigree construction of horizontal reinforced concrete brackets and filigree glass panels. The residential complex originally consisted of 86 two- to three-room apartments and four shops at the southeast corner of the block.

Kirche am Hohenzollernplatz (1933) at Berlin Wilmersdorf by architects Ossip Klarwein and Fritz Höger. A fine example of German style Brick Expressionism. - Soon after its completion, Jewish architect Klarwein and his family emigrated to Mandatory Palestine to escape the Nazi takeover of Germany. - The church was heavily bombed during the WWII by allied forces, causing huge damage. After the war, reconstruction proceeded gradually until completed in 1965. - Although Google told me that the church was open at the time of my arrival, it wasn’t. I tried every door, rang some bells, even called the church but to no avail. Which is a shame because the interior is spectacular as well. This week saw World Art Deco Day. I had a squiz at some of the other worlds days, which include: Fruitcake Toss Day Word Nerd Day Learn Your Name in Morse Code Day Tolkien Reading Day One of my faves - International Talk Like a Pirate Day There is even a Squirrel Appreciation Day! I cannot find brick appreciation day that doesn’t relate to Lego. I’m sure @thebricklayersdaughter and @brickiechickie reckon there should be one.
