I decided after BUCS I would take a week to just enjoy food, eat what I wanted when I fancied something and not be so strict about meal prepping. Then the plan was to go into a calorie deficit. As another new challenge to myself while I’m trying new things I want to try and find some of the muscle I’ve built over the last 2 years. Every deficit I’ve done before has been about getting into my weight class rather than how I look. I don’t feel like I need to loose weight, I just want another challenge. I took an extra week to get back on track with eating all my meals and eating fruit & veg after I completely lost my appetite after BUCS and was skipping meals everyday. But I’ve got a good routine going again, I’m eating all my meals and trying new ones. So I’m starting my deficit this week and thought I’d post the progress. I’m using my average body weight as a guide but basing it more off of how I look & feel. Felt really good tension on my legs and definitely burnt them out. Didn’t do cardio/core since I’ve worn them out pretty well the past two days so I’ll give it two days of active recovery. -I weighed in with morning weight yesterday between 280-285 (before going to the bathroom) but even so my vascularity hasn’t dropped off if anything it’s gotten better. What I eat in a day as someone just trying her best. I was so restrictive during my 75 hard challenge I began to miss feeling free to eat what I want. Now moving forward I am just trying to eat a more balanced diet that makes me feel happy at the end of the day but also supports my efforts in the gym. My food varies daily depending on my mood but these are my go tos currently Breakfast: yogurt and granola - makes me feel full longer, easy and little effort so I’m more likely to choose this over cereal, TASTES SO GOOD Iced coffee - not an every day thing as I’m not a huge coffee drinker but now that it’s getting warmer out I like to have an iced coffee with sugar free syrup Lunch: Ham and low fat Swiss cheese - I love ham and cheese sandwiches, they’re again easy to make and requires little effort, helps me avoid making excuses for grabbing food that doesn’t help me feel full Snack: Smart sweets - fell in love with these when I was craving sugar and by far the Swedish Fish are the best 😍 Dinner: Beef tenderloin - my family uses fresh prep so this varies my dinner and keeps my life interesting. Everything is super yummy and well balanced so I actually enjoy the food. La croix - because I crave bubbles, I reach for sugar free sodas or sparkling water to give me the satisfaction of drinking pop without drinking pop. Water!! Drink your water! Noticing more vascularity with my arms/core ‘definition’, have a bit more with striations which is awesome. Came in today and knew last week was probably the last time I’m going ‘heavy’ on weights. I was very sore/fatigued when adding weight for my normal working sets which sucks but shows that the cardio is kicking in. We will see week by week by the time school gets out where I’m at with five-six days of 1 hr of cardio and 2 hrs + of lifting gets us (weight/physique wise) -Want to get better but don’t know where to start?
