先日聴いた1枚 Nexus(ネクサス)"Insania" アルゼンチンのプログレッシブ・ロックバンドの8thアルバム(2023年) アルゼンチンのブエノスアイレス、モロンにて1970年代後半に結成されましたが、1990年代後半になってようやく初めてのアルバムがリリースされました キーボードを中心として力強く壮大なサウンドが印象的な Nexus ですが、自分もこれまでに幾枚かのアルバムを聴いてきました。久し振りに新しいアルバムを手にして、バンドの根幹は変わらずとも風格と気品が増し、そしてより洗練された印象を持ちました。今回から女声ヴォーカリスト、ベーシストとして Roxy Truccolo が正式メンバーに加入したこともその一因かと思います 不穏な空気を漂わせたり哀愁を綴る場面も、キーボードやギターらが織り成すシンフォニックなアンサンブルがとても美しく、さらに美声のヴォーカルが華を添えてくれます ただ、今作は曲もトータルの収録時間も短いため、聴いていてもう少しこの時間が続いてくれればいいのに… と、何度も思うのでした^^; Nexus "Insania". Eighth album (2023) by Argentine progressive rock band. Formed in Morón, Buenos Aires, Argentina in the late 1970s, the band's first album was finally released in the late 1990s. Nexus has an impressive, powerful and epic keyboard-driven sound, and I have listened to several of their albums. After a long time, I got a new album, and even though the core of the band remains the same, I got the impression that the band's style and elegance have increased and become more refined. This is partly due to the addition of Roxy Truccolo as a female vocalist and bassist. The symphonic ensemble of keyboards and guitars is very beautiful, and the beautiful vocals add to the unsettling and melancholy atmosphere of the songs.
