Shabbat Shalom 🎗️💙 This week’s Parashat Behar provides a profound vision of sustainability and renewal. The sabbatical year, or Shemitah, reminds us to live in harmony with nature’s rhythms and prioritize the well-being of our entire community. This periodic correction and rebalancing challenges us to create a more just and equitable society, where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. As we face environmental challenges and economic inequality, let us cultivate a sense of stewardship and work towards a future of sustainability and renewal. #Sustainability #SocialJustice #JewishWisdom #EnvironmentalStewardship #EconomicEquity #TorahTeachings

The Alshich explains on Tehillim, 72:15 that Shlomo Hamelech is teaching how it is the duty of a king to pray to Hashem to provide for the sustenance of the poor, or needy without causing embarrassment, and always pray for divine blessings upon them. Rashi teaches how the word bless means to pray. So let him live, and receive gold of Sheba; let prayers for him be said always, blessings on him invoked at all times. #Compassion #Mercy #JewishWisdom #Kindness #HelpingOthers #SpiritualGrowth #DivineBlessings #Humility #Generosity #Faith #TorahTeachings #JewishFaith #SacredActs #ActsOfKindness #Prayer #Blessings #CommunitySupport #SharedResources #SpiritualJourney #HumanDignity #CaringForOthers #FaithInAction #TrueCompassion #UpliftOthers

The evening prayer holds a special place in our hearts, reminding us that our connection to Hashem is boundless. There is no fixed time for the evening prayer, extending until dawn, as it reflects the eternal promise: "I love those who love Me and those who seek Me find Me." 🕯️ Reflecting on Emor and the Essence of Our Rituals 🕯️ This week’s Torah portion, Emor, guides us through the intricate tapestry of our Jewish holidays—each a vessel holding our cherished values. As we navigate the annual markers from Rosh Hashanah to Shavuot, we’re reminded why these rituals matter: they’re not just dates on a calendar but signposts on our spiritual journey. ⠀ As we count the 25th day of the Omer tonight, let’s embrace this time of reflection on endurance and tradition. How do we ensure the enduring values of love, joy, and justice within our community? Let’s discuss how these rituals help us balance, remember, and move forward. ⠀ #Emor #JewishLife #SpiritualJourney #Reflection #Endurance #JewishHolidays #TorahTeachings #OmerCounting

🌟 This week’s Torah portion, Parashat Kedoshim, teaches us about holiness and ethical behavior. It challenges us to be holy as Hashem is holy, but what does this really mean in our daily lives? 🌿 Holiness isn’t just about ritual acts; it’s deeply rooted in how we treat others. From the simple acts of not stealing and dealing honestly with others to the profound duty of loving your neighbor as yourself, each action we take can elevate our lives and the lives of those around us. 💡 “Be holy, for I, the Lord your G-Od, am holy.” This call isn’t just a lofty goal; it’s a guide for everyday living. It invites us to create a community based on mutual respect, kindness, and generosity. 👐 Whether it’s volunteering, helping a neighbor, or simply offering a kind word, every act of goodness brings us closer to a holy life. Let’s inspire each other to live up to these ideals, not just today but every day. 🙌 Let’s strive to be holy in our actions and interactions. 🍞✨ Our Year 7 students had an incredible experience learning the art of Matzah-making when the Matzah Factory visited Bialik! They crushed wheat into flour, mixed the dough, and cooked the Matzah, all within the sacred 18-minute window, before it rises and becomes chametz. In todays counting of the Omer, the Middah is Yesod Sh'b'Gevurah, Yesod is associated with loyalty and integrity. Gevurah is strength. We find this when we daven the Amidah prayer when we say: עֲשֵׂה לְמַעַן שְׁמֶךָ עֲשֵׂה לְמַעַן יְמִינֶךָ עֲשֵׂה לְמַעַן קְדֻשָּׁתֶךָ עֲשֵׂה לְמַעַן תּוֹרָתֶךָ, Act for the sake of Your Name. Act for the sake of Your right hand. Act for the sake of Your holiness. Act for the sake of Your Torah. We can have this in mind when praying for the hostages to be released and have in mind that Hashem should act for His Name..etc.. as the next sentence is: לְמַעַן יֵחָלְצוּן יְדִידֶיךָ הוֹשִׁיעָה יְמִינְךָ וַעֲנֵנִי, In order that Your loved ones be released. We also daven in this way when we say Hallel and say: לֹא לָנוּ,ה׳, לֹא לָנוּ, כִּי־לְשִׁמְךָ תֵּן כָּבוֹד, עַל־חַסְדְּךָ עַל־אֲמִתֶּךָ. לָמָּה יֹאמְרוּ הַגּוֹיִם אַיֵּה־נָא אֱלֹהֵיהֶם, לֹא לָֽנוּ Not to us, LORD, not for us, but for Your Name give glory, for Your love, for Your faithfulness. Why should the nations say, “Where now is their Lord?” May we see Hashem's Kavod be expanded in the process of saving the hostages and all the things we pray for, and ultimately the final redemption biezras Hashem. #HakadoshBaruchHu #DivinePurpose #Selflessness #DivineService #SpiritualDevotion #HigherPurpose #DivineConnection #DivineMission #YesodShbGevurah #DivineWill #HigherCalling #SpiritualPractice #JewishWisdom #TorahTeachings #DivineAlignment #SelfSacrifice #SpiritualJourney #DivinePresence #ServiceToGod #UltimateGoal #HigherPower #DivineIntention #ServingGod #SpiritualGrowth #DivinePlan #DivineMission #SpiritualPath #LivingForGod #SacredPurpose

Today is the yartzeit of Rav Avigdor Miller. Rabbi Avigdor Miller was born in 1908 in Baltimore. He was a student at the Slabodka Yeshiva where he met and learned with many of the generation's gedolim and future gedolim. He served as the mashgiach in Rav Chaim Berlin Yeshiva, as a congregation rabbi, and as a community leader. He was the innovator of "Torah for the Masses" by recording his weekly lectures and making the tapes available to the public. Many of his talmidim had in fact never met R' Miller, yet they considered him as their Rav until today. If one will say: "who am I, and what importance am I that I should pray on the exile and Jerusalem? Will the exiles be ingathered and the salvation sprout because of my prayers?! The answer to him is near [his question], as we learned: "Thus man was created alone, so that each person should say: 'for my sake the world was created' " (Sanhedrin 37a). Already it brings gratification to G-d, that His children desire and pray for this. And even though their request may not be fulfilled, because the proper time has not yet come or for some other reason, nevertheless, they have done their part and the Holy One, blessed be He, rejoices in this. "Contemplating the Kad Hakemach's teachings, Torah reminds us to distance ourselves from thievery. Even in Karbanos, the Kohen removes a bird's crop, a symbol of theft, casting it away as mere washing isn't sufficient. (Vayikra, 1;16)This contrasts with animal sacrifices, nourished from their owner. Let's purify our hands to approach Hashem in the Beis Hamikdash as Dovid Hamelech says; Who may ascend the mountain of Hashem? Who may stand in His holy place?— He who has clean hands and a pure heart. (Tehillim, 24:3-4) The third Beis HaMikdash, is symbolized by Yaakov Avinu according to the Alshich on this verse. Yaakov embodys Emes also known as Tiferes. Today's Omer count is Tiferes in Chesed. We can be especially mindful to treat others with integrity (Tiferes) in all our dealings. It is only with Emes that we can approach Hashem's Mizbayach (altar) and neither can we ascend or appear before Him (Kad Hakemach on theft) With integrity, (Emes; Tiferes) we foster Hashem's Chesed; and pave the way for the rebuilding of the third Beis HaMikdash. עוֹלָם חֶסֶד יִבָּנֶה, "For I said with Chesed will it be built" #TorahTeachings #Integrity #CleanHands #ApproachingHashem #ShechinaRestoration #BeisHaMikdash #SymbolOfTruth #DivinePresence"

RAV AVIGDOR MILLER ON V’SEIN TAL U’MATAR Q: Should we be storming the heavens about the bringing of Moshiach? A: Every day you should storm. את צמח דוד עבדך מהרה תצמיח; say that with a storm! You should also storm by When you get to the words ותן טל ומטר you should storm. Storm by tal u’matar! Don’t just be yoitzei. What a miracle tal u’matar is! You think it just happens? Tal u’matar just happens?! It’s a neis, no less a neis than the mann. If the mann had happened only once, ooh would that have been something! But because it happened for forty years, so they became accustomed to it and it stopped being a neis. You know, when they came to Eretz Canaan and they saw food coming out of the ground, that was a neis. Food coming out of the ground?! “Look! It’s a neis! Food is coming out of the ground!” They thought food comes from the clouds. Because really it’s all a neis; only that habit makes you not notice. So we have to storm the heavens for tal u’matar. And we have to storm for everything else too. You have to storm for You went to the bathroom? It’s a neis that you were able to go to the bathroom! Miracles are happening when you go to the bathroom! ומפליא לעשות – it’s all wonders what happens in the bathroom only that we’re fast asleep. Our minds are mitumtam; we’re stupefied by gashmiyus so we’re not thinking. So we have to storm! It means we have to fight back against the gashmiyus and see the yad Hashem, the miracles of everything in this world. Certainly we have to storm about everything. The Vilna Gaon teaches us that when we pray outside of Eretz Yisrael, or outside of Yerushalayim, facing the Beis Hamikdash, it's as if Hashem is responding to Moshe's prayer to enter the Eretz Yisrael. When we pray facing the Beis Hamikdash, authentically it is a testament to Moshe's supplication and, and our prayers are literally directed to the Kodesh Kadoshim. Let's cherish this sacred bond and tap into the power of our prayers. "For My people have committed two evils; they have forsaken Me, the spring of living waters, to dig for themselves cisterns, broken cisterns that do not hold water" Yirmiyahu, 7:17 Embracing our divine design as vessels for Torah's eternal wisdom, we find our true purpose. But when fear and doubt cloud our trust in Hashem, we risk becoming broken cisterns, unable to hold His essence. Through prayer and Bitachon, we mend, allowing His infinite wisdom to flow freely within us. Let's strengthen our trust and maintain our connection to the source. RAV AVIGDOR MILLER ON MATZAH AND ENTHUSIASM Q: How does one maintain enthusiasm in mitzvos? A: There are two ways; a superficial but useful way and also an intrinsic way. The superficial way is to do the mitzvah with a superficial alacrity, a superficial enthusiasm. When you do something in a sleepy way, you fall asleep. When you do it with enthusiasm, you become enthusiastic. For example, let’s say at the Seder you’ll take the matzah in your hand, and you’ll say, “Ahh! Matzah!” And you say, הנני מוכן ומזומן and you are talking about the greatness of the mitzvah, so even though your mind is blank but by doing the externalities so החיצוניות מעוררת את הפנימיות — doing certain external acts will wake up your interior. So therefore, if you are the father of a house, before you wash you should say to the children, “Children, we’re about to perform a mitzvah de’oraisa of בערב תאכלו מצות. It’s a mitzvah de’oraisa tonight to eat matza. Tomorrow it won’t be a mitzvah de’oraisa anymore to eat matza. You can’t eat chometz tomorrow but tonight eating a kezayis matzah is the same as tefilin; it’s the same as any mitzvah de’oraisa, that’s how important it is. And it is going to give you kedusha; אשר קדשנו במצוותיו. And keep in mind that it’s זכר ליציאת מצרים and put all you can into it.” That’s how the father should speak to his children – even if he doesn’t feel it. So the father, by his externalities, by means of his words, and the children who listen to him, they’ll do the mitzvah with a certain superficial enthusiasm and we have to know how valuable that is. That’s why you come to daven in the morning and you sit down and say הודו לה’ כי טוב, if you’re mumbling the words quietly, so you fall asleep after a while. But if you say הודו לה’ כי טוב (the Rav said the words loudly), then you wake up; your words wake you up and you become enthusiastic. And that’s how we have to do all the mitzvos. The exteriority awakens the interiority. However, a second and more fundamental way is understanding what you’re doing. (More in comments.)

"Initiating our day with prayer symbolizes our commitment to the right path, for the sake of The First, Hashem. As the Creator demands our initial steps in the right direction, He promises to aid us further along the path." "On the 28th of Adar, we remember Rav Mordechai Kastelanitz of Lecovitz, patriarch of the Slonim Chassidic dynasty, who settled in Chevron in 1844. The Torah opens with 'Bereishit,' meaning 'for the sake of the first,' signifying that the Creator expects us to initiate our journey in the right direction. He ordained the offering of First Fruits, the first stalks of grain, and the first-born cattle, symbolizing our commitment to prioritize Him. Similarly, the Law of Tradition commands us to dedicate the first part of every day to prayer." - Ohr Yesharim, page 14, Source: "PRAYER TOOLS-HACHODESH-SLONIM-THE FIRST OF THE DAY" The Foundation Stone, HaRav Simcha L Weinberg, Shlita #Prayer #Beginnings #Bereishit #Guidance #DivineAssistance #Journey #Righteousness #Commitment #Hashem #Spirituality #Faith #Devotion #Trust #Hope #Inspiration #Emunah (Faith in Hebrew) #Belief #SeekingGod #FirstSteps #DivinePresence #DailyPrayer #SeekingDirection #PathToRighteousness #TorahWisdom #Chassidut #JewishLife #TorahTeachings #EmbracingFaith #BlessedJourney #EternalTruths 4m

Lift Up Your Hands 🙌🏼 The 15th of Adar, marks the Yahrtzeit of Rav Zvi Hirsch Kaidanover, known as the Kav haYashar. He taught us the significance of raising our hands in prayer, a practice cherished by God. According to the Kav haYashar, lifting our hands in prayer, blessings, and praise is not just commendable—it's obligatory. Avraham, our forefather, exemplified this tradition, declaring, "I have raised my hands to Hashem the Most High." Even Moshe, in his fervent prayers for victory, raised his hands, bringing triumph to Israel. With each uplifted hand, let us envision the strength and resilience of our nation, standing firm in the face of adversity. May our prayers ascend to the heavens, carrying with them the fervent hope for success and protection. In the Torah (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy), the instruction books for life that God breathed for us through Moses, the very books that preachers tell Christians they don’t need to read, it is there that God tells us of how He will bless us abundantly if we obey Him and follow His ways. In these same books, He tells us clearly how those who willingly choose to disobey Him and live life on their terms will be cursed. Why do you think pastors don’t want you to know what God says? Why do you think they don’t want you warned about what is to come for those who choose to disobey God? Ask God, then go to His Word, He will answer all your questions (Jeremiah 33:3). It’s time for you to know the truth of God’s entire Word, He breathed it for you to know, to be warned, to give you clear choices to make. Knowing these truths in His Word that you were taught not to read will transform your life. I pray the scripture above gets your attention and causes you to turn to God and His Holy Word, the Holy Bible and find out the truth you were never taught. Do yourself a favor, the blessings and curses are in Deuteronomy chapters 27 & 28; go read them. Take God and His word seriously! In His word He tells you exactly what will happen so you won’t be surprised. He has answers to all of your questions. Study His word to learn His truth. Repent and turn back to Him today. Pop over to our website to the Good News tab and learn more about Salvation. https://chosencrowned.one/good-news/ You have choices. In this week’s Torah portion, Yakov blessed Yosef’s sons, Ephraim and Menashe, to be ‘fruitful like the fish.’ As we bless our children with the words, ‘Y’simcha Elokim k’Efrayim v’chi-Menasheh,’ we’re not just reciting a prayer but imparting a legacy echoing Yaakov’s original blessings. Why the comparison to fish? Beneath the ocean’s serene surface, fish demonstrate remarkable resilience, thriving against all odds. This imagery beautifully mirrors the strength we wish to instill in our children. By understanding and embracing the depth of this blessing, we are reminded to guide them to be more resilient. Encourage your children to see life’s challenges as opportunities for growth, urging them to find their strength in adversity and empowering them as leaders to continue the legacy of strength and perseverance. #JewishWisdom #TorahTeachings #Resilience #ParentingTips

Unveiling the Spiritual Essence of Gemstones in Ancient Texts 🌟 Discover the profound spiritual symbolism of gemstones as revealed in ancient sacred texts. From the Torah's Breastplate of the High Priest to the New Testament's Foundations of New Jerusalem, and the mystical paths of Kabbalah, gemstones are not just mere adornments. They are powerful symbols representing divine connections, spiritual virtues, and the journey of the soul. 🔹 Torah's Wisdom: In the Book of Exodus, twelve unique stones on the High Priest's breastplate embody the twelve tribes of Israel. Each gemstone is a beacon of the tribe's identity and its sacred bond with the Divine, offering more than symbolism – it's a testament to divine protection and guidance. 🔹 New Testament's Legacy: The Book of Revelation introduces us to the foundation stones of the New Jerusalem, each linked to an apostle. These stones are not just foundations; they are the embodiment of the apostles' teachings, virtues, and spiritual legacies that have shaped Christian faith. 🔹 Kabbalistic Mysticism: In the mystical world of Kabbalah, gemstones transcend physical beauty, aligning with the sefirot on the Tree of Life. They represent various divine attributes and stages in the soul's journey towards enlightenment, making them powerful tools for spiritual growth. As we delve into these ancient texts, we uncover that gemstones are more than just physical entities. They are rich in symbolism, serving as metaphors for deeper spiritual realities and helping us to understand and reflect on the divine and moral teachings of our faith. I personally always looked into ways we are similar and stories that connect us. When it comes to Scriptures, it seems they support my point of view, as same crystals are mentioned in Torah, Bible and Kabbalah. When it comes to holidays, and selecting gifts for your loved ones AND yourself, weather you celebrate Chanukah, Christmas, or you are more into chakras, energy, astrology and the Universe, the roads lead to the most magical set of 13 Lunar Oils, #oildrop program and products. 🌠 Your Spiritual Journey with Gemstones: (continued in the comments)

The birth of Yitzchak brought not only joy to his parents but also blessings to the world. As Sarah rejoiced, proclaiming, “whoever hears will laugh for me,” the world witnessed miracles—barren women conceived, the ill were healed, and prayers were answered. Today’s Torah reading reminds us that our greatest blessings gain true meaning when they benefit others. Let’s instill in our children the value of shared joy, teaching them to celebrate good fortune by uplifting those around them. 🌍❤️ #SharedJoy #BlessingsForAll #TorahTeachings #AmYisraelChai

How do we expand our circle of awareness to truly see one another? In his latest IJS blog post "Bereshit 5784: Band of Brothers," Rabbi Josh Feigelson explores human relationships in times of conflict through Torah teachings. Honestly though, for most of us, (even Josh), the time still doesn’t feel quite right yet. As he shares, "I still feel too raw to reflect dispassionately...Hostages are in harm's way. My loved ones are on the front lines." Yet the gifts of awareness are always accessible. As he aspires for peace amidst chaos, so too can we gently open our minds and hearts right now. Let's reflect on how we can expand awareness, even today. Please share your thoughts below. 🤍 Click the link in bio to read Josh’s full, thoughtful article on the IJS blog. #siblinghood #relationships #awareness #spirituality #judaism #torahteachings #Bereshit

Forgiveness Part One It says in the Torah that we shouldn't take revenge and that we shouldn't bear a grudge. Don't look back at the harm others did to you. Don't hold onto the anger, and don't plan revenge.  This is a pretty tall order! It's not easy at all. But then, even more difficult to understand, says Rabbi Jonathan Rietti, is that immediately afterwards, it says you should love your neighbor as yourself.  Wow. Couldn't we have a bit of time before jumping to loving the person?   The question, though, is based on a fundamental misunderstanding; We think that these feelings of hatred and revenge are deep-rooted... but really they're only taking place in our thoughts. And we are only one thought away from the next thought so Hashem can actually ask us to make that immediate switch from revenge/grudge to loving our fellow Jew.  Because no one knows us better than our creator.  #Forgiveness #LoveYourNeighbor #LetGoOfAnger #NoRevenge #TorahTeachings

📯🐏 The shofar is an ancient musical instrument made from the horn of a ram or other kosher animal with the marrow removed. It was used in ancient Israel to announce the New Moon (Rosh Chodesh) and to call people together. The central mitzvah of Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year) is to hear the shofar being blown, often in the synagogue as part of the prayer service. The Torah refers to Rosh Hashanah as "the day of blowing" [shofar]. Since Rosh Hashanah lasts two days, we must hear the sound of the shofar during daylight hours on both days - unless the first day falls on Shabbat, in which case we blow the shofar only on the second day. 🌙📜 Although the shofar can be blown until sunset, the traditional time for blowing the shofar is during morning services, after the reading of the Torah, before the Musaf prayer (the additional service recited on Shabbat and holidays). It is customary to blow the shofar several times during the Musaf service. 🙏🐏 There are many elements of symbolism related to the legal requirements for what constitutes a proper shofar. The Rosh Hashanah shofar, with its purpose of awakening divinity in the listener, cannot be constructed from an artificial material. It must be an instrument in its natural form and naturally hollowed out, whereby the sound is produced by human breath, which God breathes into human beings. This sound, pure and natural, symbolises the lives He calls the Jews to lead. Furthermore, the most desirable shofar is the bent horn of a ram. The ram recalls Abraham's willing sacrifice of what was most precious to him. The curvature of the horn mirrors the penitence of the repentant. #ShofarSymbolism #RoshHashanahTradition #JewishHeritage #SpiritualAwakening #NewMoonAnnouncement #UnityInSound #RoshChodesh #JewishNewYear #TorahTeachings #MusafPrayer #DivineConnection #RepentanceJourney #AbrahamsSacrifice #RoshHashanahMeaning #JewishSpirituality #TraditionInSound #ShofarBlast #SpiritualHeritage #PenitenceReflections #JewishFaith #SacredSounds #CulturalHeritage #AncientTraditions

👇 | Continua nos comentários · · · · · #torahwisdom #torahstudy #torahinspiration #torahlife #torahquotes #torahcommunity #torahteachings #torahjourney #torahtruth #torahlove #torahheritage #torahunderstanding #torahguidance #torahleadership #torahscholar #torahlearning #torahclass #torahthoughts #torahexploration #torahawareness #torahreflection #torahconnection #torahempowerment #torahvalues #torahspirituality #torahtradition #torahway #torahinfluence #torahwisdoms #torahinsight (Chabad.org)
