Reality vs. IG 🤣 Flipping that script because I keep it 💯😏 Today was my last training sesh before Oceanside. In my head, I was going to be super powerful on my clean bike and speedy in my race shoes 🧱🚴♂️⏩️🏃♂️💪 Instead, it was a series of doubtful moments 😰 On the bike, my drivetrain was clicking on my 3rd lowest gear then my chain dropped on a climb. That would then be followed by 2 cars almost hitting, a car pulling in front of me just to turn quickly ahead of me and then a big truck pulled over in the bike line on PCH with cars flying back at 50+mph 🤷♂️ Then on the run, I quickly realized that my race shoes still had some sand in them from Santa Cruz last year. Going all the way up… 📈 To a whopping 15.5hr training week! 🙌👊 That’s actually about an hour more than I had planned 😅 But adding a few min here and there and cutting intervals short but adding EZ min got me there. Getting in such a big week is excellent fitness to bank with race day less than 3 weeks away! 😱 I will admittedly be starting my taper now 😏 But the first week will be about lowering intensity while keeping up volume. El pulsómetro de banda en el brazo de @corosesp se lleva muy cómodo y me sorprende su buena lectura de los datos. Encontré muy conveniente usar la banda de brazo ya que tengo una buena lectura de la frecuencia mientras puedo llevar mi reloj sin apretarlo tanto, e incluso llevarlo sobre las mangas en época de frio. Disfruté mi primera carrera del año por las calles de Madrid.
