Today it's going to be about kinks and quirks, because we talk about them far too rarely in normal life. 🫣 Don't worry, I'll spare you information about mine at this point 😂 The point I want to make is that in a social context we always try to show our best side. We do so on social media or when we meet people or even in general when we communicate with others on a smalltalk-level and that can become a problem sometimes. What do I mean by that? Has it ever happened to you that you had a crush on someone only to realize that the person is not how you thought he/she would be at all? 😉 I've experienced both sides. It has happened to me many times that people have fallen in love with an idea of mine without knowing me as a person. An idea that they came up with in their head based on my appearance, my pictures, or a quick small talk...(some of these ideas were apparently pretty wild when I think back to conversations with these people after they created it) However, I manage to be so delulu every now and then and am sometimes confused by the discrepancy between the image in my head and reality 😂 Luckily, I'm shy and don't start talking to anyone anyway, so I'm spared direct confrontation in 99% of cases. ✌️ I can't wait to read your opinion on this 😋 Tomorrow we'll dig a little deeper here, because I find this topic somehow very fascinating. My name is Catherine Mary, I’m the 7th generation of Catherine’s in my family. I’m happily married to my wonderful husband Jonathon & we have 5 sons and I’m pregnant 🤰 with our daughter who is due this August. I love art in all its forms, photography is probably my favorite. I also sew, paint, draw, make jewelry etc…. Both of my parents are very creative artists, so maybe it’s genetics 🤷♀️ but I have loved photography since my childhood. Was ist das da eigentlich immer mit diesen Ecastings? Was soll das? Wie macht man das? Und warum überhaupt? Fragen dieser Art bekomme ich öfter gestellt. Meistens, wenn ich Outtakes teile😄 Daher zeige ich das heute mal für alle Nicht-Schauspieler*innen - und für alle, die es interessiert, an einem älteren Beispiel, das ich letztens zufällig gefunden habe. Da es schon ein paar Jahre alt ist und die entsprechenden Serie inzwischen leider eingestellt wurde, denke ich mal, ich kann es ruhig zeigen. Vorher: Ein Ecasting für eine Rolle als Ärztin. Ich habe den Text einer Szene zugeschickt bekommen und dann in 4 verschiedenen Versionen gespielt und aufgenommen. Also Variationen davon, wie ich mir die Rolle vorgestellt habe. Das macht man meistens Zuhause oder - wie in diesem Fall - bei @kardeelcasting Im Studio. Vielen Dank noch mal an meine Schauspielkollegin @ilonamareke (hier meine Patientin) und an Alexander Resch von @showreel_hamburg (hier hinter der Kamera), die mir damals beim Ecasting geholfen haben. Es hat dann tatsächlich geklappt mit der Rolle💫...
... und so sah dann die fertig gedrehte Szene, nach Maske, Kostüm und Dreh, in der TV-Ausstrahlung, aus. Sie stammt übrigens aus "Der Lehrer" (Regie: Peter Gersina). Ein erfreulicher Nebeneffekt: 2 Staffeln später wurde ich hier für eine größere Rolle besetzt 🤗 Allerdings als Polizistin. Mit Hendrik Duryn und Aniya Wendel. Gerade nicht im Bild: mein "Oberarzt" Roman Knižka. Kleiner Funfact: In der Szene sollte ich einen Ultraschall machen und bekam vorher durch einen "medizinischen Berater" genau erklärt, wie man das macht. Also, besonders schwer ist es nicht, einen Ultraschall zu machen - solange man das schwarz-weiße Gedöns auf dem Monitor nicht erkennen muss. Ich könnte dort ein Sprunggelenk nicht von einer Leber unterscheiden. Aber zum Glück muss ich als Schauspielerin ja auch nur so wirken, als wüsste ich genau, was Sache ist 🤷🏻♀️😄 Soweit so gut. Aus irgendeinem Grund war dann beim Dreh die Flasche mit dem Ultraschall-Glibbergel nicht richtig zu. Somit habe ich beim ersten Take diese Flasche genommen... und mit Karacho fast den gesamten Inhalt auf den Fuß meiner Kollegin Aniya Wendel geklatscht. Und auf die Liege. Und auf den Fußboden...🥴 Man könnte also sagen, die Szene "lief wie geschmiert " 😉

Still others (and I think I'm one of them) make decisions based on their emotions and some people I know avoid having to make decisions at all as much as possible by handing over responsibility to others. Of course I can't speak of me, but I think every variant has its weak points 😅 As already mentioned, I make the majority of my decisions based on my emotions. I try to empathize with different options and then choose the solution that feels best. This can happen very spontaneously and impulsively, but it can also be a longer process, depending on the scope and complexity of the decision. 🫠 I don't think I need to mention that the result is not always rationally comprehensible. I'm now trying to approach certain things more rationally, but this isn't always easy for me. What actually triggers me are people who try to avoid making decisions or give up responsibility for them because they always give me the feeling that they either can't stand up for themselves or simply don't have enough interest in the topic.
