"Aber ich verbringe gerne eine schöne Zeit mit dir....wie wäre es mit F+?" Du fällst aus allen Wolken, beendest es und es zerreißt dich....der Schmerz ist stärker als jemals zuvor. Vielleicht weil du dir selber eingestehen musst, dass so jemand nicht diese eine Person sein kann... du hast dich selbst getäuscht und die Wahrheit trifft dich mit voller Wucht! Du wirst endlich wach! Gegen Bindungsangst bist du machtlos! Mädels, rennt, wenn Menschen in euer Leben zurückkommen wollen, als wäre es das Selbstverständlichste der Welt. Sie wollen nur schauen, ob sie noch Zutritt zu eurem Leben haben, um ihre Bedürfnisse zu stillen. Das ist toxisch! Gebt nicht immer wieder den falschen Menschen eine Chance. Sie ändern sich nicht. Und danach ist dein Selbstwert ruiniert...und du kannst noch mehr Teile von dir selbst zusammen fegen! Ja, die Hoffnung stirbt zuletzt, aber oft ist sie vergebens! Wir klammern uns an eine Illusion! Mother’s Day holds so many emotions for me. I have my children, that I know love me. But when one of those children is missing on Mother’s Day it brings on a sadness that I usually hide from most people. I’m trying to embrace transparency better, in hopes someone just starting the path of loss may learn from. The first year of losing a child is full of “all the firsts without them”. The first Christmas, the first birthday, the first Mother’s Day. Then you have the Anniversaries. The anniversary of their death. The first…the second, until you wake up one day and it’s the 23rd anniversary of them passing. This past April marked 23 years since Thomas died in my arms. This week, the 15th would be his 30th birthday. He will forever be 6 to me. But as I go to bed tonight I hold many memories of things I journaled, things he said to me, and songs we danced together to. He was so close to me, and I to him. He was so wise beyond his years. He was clinically diagnosed a genius! He was my very special boy. I’m so grateful for the peace I have knowing he’s with Jesus, and I will be with him again. Love up your children. Don’t take anyone, or any day for granted. Life truly is a gift not promised to everyone. This song was “our song”. Wherever we were, no matter what we were doing he’d run to me and wanna slow dance. This was his favorite part of the song because we’d always talk in the middle of the night, and when we danced, he took my long hair and put it all on his bald head. So many memories……just wanted to share that.

My kids don’t have a perfect mom . . . They just have me! They’ve seen me try and fail, laugh and cry, be brave and weak. I’ve made mistakes and asked for forgiveness, overreacted when I should have listened, and closed my eyes many night nights knowing I could have done better. Still they love me just the way I am imperfect and flawed. It’s taken me awhile to get here, but I’ve realized my kids don’t need or want me on a pedestal, they need me right beside them living life together, supporting one another and accepting each other exactly as we are.
