{ F I R E } I have fond memories of my time living and working with the indigenous Sämi people of Lapland. Sitting inside a Lavuu on reindeer hides while drinking strong black coffee in -40’C temps with chatty elders and gazing into a fire pit interpreting our individual messages while the northern lights danced and illuminated the skies outside. An age old practice that’s been used by tribal see-ers for tens of thousands of years and definitely something I grew up seeing the older women in my family do. ✨Firstly, light a candle in a dark room, Immerse yourself in the element. Clear your mind and allow the spirit of the element to enter and activate within you by staring into your candles flame. This literally sends a visual signal to the back of your brain through your eyesight, essentially burning it into your mind and placing the element into your waking consciousness. You may also place your palms near the flame to feel the warmth, adding another sensual activation to your body’s experience of fire. Also of note, the palm of the hand is equated with the Hebrew letter Kaph, and is symbolically said to enable the latent power of the spiritual world into the physical world. The spiritual element of fire burns away what is not aligned with your highest and purest self.
