When I started this architectural journey 9 yrs ago, I did not know what to expect or what kind of challenging path and detour I would take. From 2015-2019 and from 2021-2024, I committed myself to this creative field damn near everyday with spending majority of my time and even countless all-nighters and late nighters in the PCA studio. Although there were tremendous amount of obstacles and battles that came my way, I always kept telling myself it was going to be worth it through faith, trust, and perseverance. I’m forever grateful for everybody that I’ve either met, crossed paths with, connected and even bonded with; from studio classmates, friends who became family, professors, mentors, and other peers. It’s crazy to think that I’ve spent 1/3 of my life in college at FIU. However it’s very rewarding what this tremendous amount of work has led to. Truly an end of an era. On this FATEFUL evening of January 15th,2024 the new year ushered in a MAJOR dose if SHOCK, DISAPPOINTMENT and INTERRUPTION. I was being FAITHFUL to my baby son Tyson. We unexpectedly became low on his diapers and though I was tired, I decided to go out to get him more. Driving on Lincoln Highway going towards the Merrillville,IN Walmart Supercenter; I was met with a SUPERNATURAL ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT. Sent from the throne of Sheol itself. While I was turning (LEGALLY I might add) I was met by a snot-nosed kid with his breath smellin’ like Similac! He ran the stop light of the outgoing traffic while doing 80-90 MPH!!! No responsibilities nor cares in the world in his MAMA’s Dodge Journey! Within seconds of my legal left hand turn… BOOM💥💥💥 SMACK 👋🏽👋🏽👋🏽 POW‼️‼️‼️‼️ Down goes my families ONLY vehicle!!! And the worst part about it, This was my wife’s vehicle. I sold my Honda Odyssey to help keep this van from being repossessed. My vehicle was FULLY paid off and she got this car while we were in marital despair and separated between states of IL/IN. We have since reunited in 2022 with rocks to climb and waves to traverse. So the EMBARRASSMENT and RAGE I suffered through in this moment was 99.999% grasping my VERY BEING!!! It is by the GRACE of God I did not physically attack this person. It has been 3 whole months without a vehicle and we have been STRUGGLING! Had to pull our 4 of 6 school-age kids out of traditional school and homeschool them digitally! So to have endured so much embarrassment, criticism and disrespect while not knowing the whole story. Has been TRULY shameful. Check out this Vindication spread. We played using the villages and hamlets expansion. We used all the new tiles from that set, and it was a lot to take in. I lost horribly, but it didn't matter. We had a blast. I enjoyed having all the extra tiles to explore the place, but having that many places to move meant that we rarely interacted with each other or our buildings. One person spent a lot of time fighting monsters, another kept rolling attribute checks at the fear factory, and I wandered around, becoming a very trait filled person. Of all of the expansions, this one will take the most forethought to set up. I bet there are some amazing tile combos. This would be a great time to have teleport abilities or a really fast mount. Would it be too much to also include the Chronicles expansion? J'espère que cela ne vous découragera pas à visionner la vidéo pour se lancer facilement dans ce jeu que j'adore ! On y incarne une "raclure" de la pire espèce qui après avoir été jeté par dessus bord se retrouve sur une ile et cherche le chemin de la rédemption. A travers 3 actions (déplacement / activation / visite) notre personnage va recruter des compagnons, combattre des monstres, trouver des reliques magiques, gagner des traits de caractères et tout ça dans le but de gagner de l'honneur ! Je ne rentre pas dans le détails des actions bonus et surtout de la mécanique originale des cube de pouvoir / influence combiné aux attributs primaires et héroiques. Avec une mise en place aléatoire, le jeu est rejouable a l'infini et fera vivre a notre personnage une "histoire" différente à chaque fois. J'ai perdu ma dernière partie, mais mon personnage a visité toute l'ile a la recherche du tombeau des anciens pour gagner des traits de caractère et ainsi accomplir sa quête secrète. Le tout implicitement dicté par mon compagnon de départ qui m'incitait fortement dans cette direction ! The 3 of us have ascended together and this win for them in court today is a big deal for them both. I'm not taking this moment from them, I'm just proud that she trusted me to use the spray when she needed it most and it helped her through a really stressful moment.
