A PROUD DAY FOR LAKE MANITOBA FIRST NATION A sparkling new women’s shelter was unveiled at a special ceremony in Lake Manitoba First Nation today by Chief Cornell McLean along with Council members. Elder Marlene Edwards started things off in a good way by blessing the space. The Southern Chiefs’ Organization (SCO) was represented by Margaret Swan, Chair of the Southern First Nations Network of Care and Lake Manitoba citizen. Margaret was pleased and proud to present Chief McLean with a painting by SCO’s very own Jennifer Wood (WaaBooz) to be displayed inside the shelter space. When it’s fully staffed and operational, this beautiful new building will be able to safely house up to 30 women and children who are fleeing domestic abuse and violence. This is one of just several recent projects that Lake Manitoba leadership have initiated with the end goal of making their community safer and healthier. Floyd is a really lovely dog with a sweet and calm temperament. Seis bebés, que ainda nem comiam, completamente indefesos, abandonados. Deixados para morrer. Num caixote do lixo. Quão hediondos conseguem ser os humanos? Sem dar a mínima hipótese de sobrevivência a estes bebés, completamente vulneráveis 🤯🫠🤬🤬 E a sorte foi muito madrasta para este pequenino. Acabou de falecer, de esgana 😥😥 Com muita pena nossa, não conseguimos salvar este amor. Apesar de todo o esforço em que encetamos, de todo o amor que lhe demos, não foi suficiente. Ele não resistiu 😢 Estamos inconsoláveis, mas temos os cinco irmãos dele em que pensar. Parecem fotocópias deste anjo, são igualmente adoráveis. E precisam de uma casa.
