Don't you love this beautifully composed gallery wall in a Toronto home? . There are lovely works by Joh Del and Lara Feldman as well as some early 20thC historical paintings of Trovato in Wynberg, all nestling up with a littley of mine from my Plant Babies solo show last year. . I love the pops of yellow, and how the observation shifts from depictions of the natural world, to people. Gallery walls are all about placement and this one, for me, asks the question of our human place within and as part of the natural world. . It also places the art lover as creator and composer of a larger image. . I am deeply in love with the controlled and considered ochres of the two paintings alongside mine. Alocasia 😍. They are addictive. ❤️ Here’s my Sinuata from @houseofkojo and it’s sooo gorgeous. I’m loving the leaves and so many of them 😍. I hope I’m able to retain the leaves. New plant care mode is on: 👀 Check for pests. 🚿 Shower the leaves 💦 Spray with a pest control spray. I am currently using Bug Control from @plantsmithuk 🛑 Leave it in isolation. I leave it for the first day in the shower. Then I move it to a sunnier spot the next day. I don’t water it at this stage. 💧 Next day I check the soil and water it if needed. 🪴 Repot after a week depending on the time I have and my patience 😂. I repot only because the plant will go to pon. Else I wouldn’t. But if I have a spot pests or worms or I’m doubtful of the soil, I will move it to pon post watering itself. Sometimes I’m too impatient and move it anyway as with soil, I do worry about pests and fungus gnats. ➕When I repot, I add @superthrive to the water. 🌞 Leave it in a sunny spot 🕝 Isolate for a week to 10 days. 👁️ Keep an eye for pests as often as possible. #alocasiasinuata #alocasia #alocasiaaddict #newplant #plantbabies #ukplants #plantcare #plantcaretips
