On reprend les chroniques, le Eras Tour et mon obsession s'amenuisent petit à petit (pour repartir de plus belle dans 10 jours) donc je relis à nouveau et j'ai repris les hostilités avec un cosy mystery ! Un mixte entre Agatha Christie et Bridgerton. Je ne savais pas du tout à quoi m'attendre mais j'ai finalement beaucoup aimé l'ambiance, l'héroïne et la narratrice car je l'ai lu en audio, c'était inclus dans l'abonnement mensuel. On suit Béatrice, orpheline et considérée comme vieille fille qui dépend de la générosité de sa tante. Amenée par sa tante à la campagne pour profiter quelques jours, elle trébuche sur le corps sans vie de Mr Otley. Celle qui détonnait déjà dans cette noblesse anglaise prude et docile, s'improvise véritable enquêtrice et en oublie toute les règles de bienséance. D'ordinaire respectueuse et transparente aux yeux de tous, elle mène les interrogatoires d'une main de maître et bouscule le Duc de Kesgrave dans ses retranchements... J'ai beaucoup aimé que tout tourne autour de l'enquête et qu'elle ne passe pas au second plan. J'ai bien aimé l'héroïne un peu atypique, l'écriture fluide et dynamique. 📚 J'ai lu: "une insolente curiosité" de Lynn Messina. Ce n'est pas mon style de roman préféré ni mon époque préférée... J'ai très vite été agacée par les remarques et les explications sur le pourquoi cette chère Béatrice n'est pas mariée à 26 ans. Je n'aime pas cette société de la Regence anglaise où les bonnes manières n'ont rien de logique ni d'intéressant... C'est futile, condescendant et agaçant! Heureusement, cette époque est révolue , et heureusement pour ce bouquin, on se concentre vite sur Béatrice et on la découvre bien plus intéressante que ce que veulent bien voir les autres personnages. J'ai adoré le personnage de Béatrice, sa curiosité et ses traits d'humour, ainsi que la complicité qui s'est créée entre elle et le duc. Murhatun rakastajan tapaus oli kenties edellisiä osia heikompi rikosmysteerikuvion osalta, mutta tässä keskityttiinkin leimallisemmin ihmissuhteisiin. Beatricen välit perheenjäsentensä, etenkin serkkunsa Floran kanssa ovat kehittyneet ja myös perheen ulkopuolisissa sosiaalisissa piireissä on tapahtunut myönteisiä muutoksia. Suurimpana muutoksena on Kesgraven herttuan osoittama kiinnostus Beaa kohtaan, jota tämä ei kuitenkaan rohkene pitää henkilökohtaisena. 🫖 𝑼𝒏𝒆 𝒆𝒏𝒒𝒖𝒆̂𝒕𝒆 𝒅𝒆 𝑩𝒆́𝒂𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝑯𝒚𝒅𝒆-𝑪𝒍𝒂𝒓𝒆 🫖 Ce cosy mystèry est un de mes chouchou. De la régence, une enquête et une romance slow burn entre un duc et une « vieille » fille de la société. Si vous aimez le genre et les Bridgerton, cette saga est faite pour vous ! Béatrice est officiellement un de mes personnages féminin préféré. Elle est drôle, intelligente, à conscience de sa place dans la société, mais refuse de rentrer dans cette foutue case. Elle se met aussi parfois en danger, peut-être un peu trop au goût d’un certain duc de Kesgrave. Pour ce troisième tome, bien que Béa (oui, nous sommes intimes maintenant) ait juré de ne plus enquêter sur les meurtres croisant sa route, cette fois-ci le meurtre vient à elle. Jouant sur les mots, la voici de nouveau au travail. Et comme de par magie, notre cher duc trouve lui aussi son chemin jusqu’à elle. J’aime tellement le duo qu’il forme. Des joutes verbales aux taquineries, Béa ne peut s’empêcher de remettre l’égo de Kesgrave en place et d’avoir le dernier mot. Elle le fait tant tourner en bourrique que même un moulin à vent en pleine tempête ne tourne pas autant. Malgré les chapitres à rallonge que j’ai en horreur, la plume de l’autrice est très fluide et je ne les remarque même plus, pas moyen de s’ennuyer. Il y a toujours quelque chose à découvrir, une situation loufoque dans laquelle s’est mise Béa (se déguise en femme de chambre ou bien en homme) ou encore un échange entre nos deux protagonistes. J’avoue que ma patience a été mise à rude épreuve pour ce tome-ci, toutefois elle fut récompensée à la fin. Et comment vous dire que j’ai vraiment hâte de reprendre la suite, que je sens hilarante. Coucou, Je viens vous parler de l’audio « Une insolente curiosité » de @authorlynnmessina Je suis tombée sur cet audio totalement par hasard, il était gratuit et la couverture me plaisait bien. Et je dois dire que c’est une très chouette découverte. N’ayant pas lu le résumé, je ne m’attendais pas à me retrouver dans une enquête. Il s’agit du tome 1 d’une série de 5 tomes il me semble. Voici son petit résumé : Entre Jane Austen et Les Chroniques de Bridgerton, une enquête haute en couleurs au temps de la Régence anglaise menée tambour battant par une héroïne malicieuse et attachante. Rien ne gâche mieux une fête qu’un meurtre sanglant dans la bibliothèque... Beatrice Hyde-Clare détonne au sein de la noblesse anglaise : orpheline sans mari, elle dépend de la générosité de son oncle et de sa tante. Elle s’efforce donc de rester docile, respectueuse et à sa place. Mais quand Bea trébuche sur le corps sans vie du pauvre monsieur Otley dans la bibliothèque de la demeure des Skeffington, elle oublie aussitôt de se comporter en véritable lady et se lance en quête de la vérité, quitte à manquer de respect aux autres invités... et au divin duc de Kesgrave. J’ai vraiment adoré cette écoute, je ne lis pas souvent de cosy mystery mais je vais le faire de plus en plus je pense. L’histoire est bien écrite, c’est fluide. L’intrigue est bien menée et c’est vraiment chouette, drôle, rafraîchissant J’ai adoré Béatrice, la voir évoluer, prendre de l’assurance. Un séjour à la campagne dans un manoir anglais, un meurtre dans la bibliothèque, un duc et notre héroïne Béatrice Hyde-Clare, orpheline sous la tutelle de son oncle et de sa tante. Béatrice Hyde-Clare a 26 ans et est toujours célibataire, ce qui est rare à cette époque. Elle n'arrive pas à dormir et décide d'aller chercher un ouvrage à la bibliothèque. A son arrivée elle voit le duc de Kesgrave penché sur le cadavre d'un invité Monsieur Otley, un chandelier ensanglanté par terre. Quand le lendemain elle apprend que le meurtre a été déclaré comme un suicide et que c'est le duc qui a fait cette déclaration aux autorités avec l'aval de leur hôte Lord Sheffington, elle est indignée. Béatrice décide de découvrir le coupable et de le démasquer. Une bonne enquête, une énigme à résoudre en compagnie de deux individus qui se défient. La saga des enquêtes de Béatrice Hyde-Clare de Lynn Messina est tout simplement le cosy mystery que je préfère. C'est un mélange de Jane Austen et d'Agatha Christie. . Dans ce tome 5, Béatrice va devoir enquêter sur la mort d'un homme dont le but semble-t-il était de lui nuire. Étant la 1ere sur les lieux, la jeune femme va mener l'enquête accompagnée comme tjrs du cher Duc de Kesgrave. Leurs investigations vont les mener dans un théâtre et les pousser à jouer eux même un rôle. . Rien de surprenant, j'ai adoré ma lecture! J'aime bcp le duo que forme Béa et le Duc. Il y a bcp d'humour et d'espieglerie entre eux. Les enquêtes sont également bien ficelée. Pendant la période Régence anglaise, vous allez rencontrer Béatrice, considérée comme une veille fille de 27 ans très inintéressante. Elle-même ne se trouve rien d'incroyable. Seulement, un jour, elle va trébucher sur un cadavre et se retrouver face à un Lord terriblement prétentieux mais qui va devenir son partenaire d'enquêtes. Il y a quelques semaines, j'ai lu Une Scandaleuse Supercherie de Lynn Messina. ☺️ J’avais énormément apprécié le premier tome, je suis conquise une nouvelle fois avec ce deuxième roman. La série (il y a 11 tomes au total, dont 5 traduits en français) mêle cosy mystery et Régence anglaise, deux univers que j’apprécie. 🔍 Après avoir enquêté dans le Lake District, nous retrouvons nos deux héros en plein cœur de Londres. Ce changement de cadre est l’occasion de découvrir encore plus le caractère des deux personnages principaux : le pragmatisme et l’auto-dérision de Bea, l’aménité et la déférence du duc, ainsi que leur amitié croissante. Mais également, des personnages secondaires, la famille de Bea, son cousin Russell et sa cousine Flora, sa tante Véra donc l’absurdité est très drôle. En ce qui concerne cette nouvelle enquête, le cadavre d’un comte se retrouve au pied de Bea alors qu’elle se tenait dans les locaux d’un journal, n’a rien pour révolutionner le genre mais tient tout à fait la route. On ne se perd pas dans des théories improbables ou des listes de suspects à rallonge. Certains diront que le mystère prend un peu de temps à être élucidé, mais j’ai trouvé que cette longueur était pertinente. Elle permet de mettre du contexte, installer correctement les personnages et instaurer une trame de fond étant donné que c’est une saga. Enfin, cela rajoute à l’étonnement lorsque le coupable est démasqué et permet de savourer encore plus l’intelligence de Bea. J’ai donc beaucoup apprécié ma lecture et j’ai hâte de découvrir le prochain tome ! 😁 Vous connaissez cette série ? Miután a képzeletbeli udvarlója sajnálatos halálhírét akarja megjelentetni egy újságban, –hogy ne kérdezősködjön tovább róla a családja –, amikor is szó szerint a lába elé hullik egy újabb eset. A nyomozása során újra az útjába sodorja a Kesgrave hercegét a sors, így kénytelenek együtt dolgozni ismét. Miss Hyde-Clare elsőre ellenzi, de hamar rá kell döbbennie, hogy a férfi nélkül nem megy. Egyre szimpatikusabb lett, ahogy haladtunk a cselekménnyel. Szépen lassan kezd úgy viselkedni, mint egy”átlagos ember”. Nagyon szerettem a kapcsolatuk dinamikáját, a párbeszédjeiket. Érződött, hogy egyenlő félként kezeli a lányt. A cselekmény gyorsan haladt, a gy!lk0s kilétét sem volt nagyon nehéz kitalálni, mégis nagyon tetszett ez a rész! Herra Skeffington on hädissään, sillä hänen morsiamensa äidin rakastaja on kuollut. Kaikki skandaalin ainekset ovat käsillä, joten Bea rientää apuun. Hän on juuri toipunut edellisen tapauksen aiheuttamista mustelmista, kun on taas aika ratkoa visaista pulmaa. Bea ei pääse alkua pidemmälle kun jo taas on Kesgraven herttua tunkemassa samoille murha-apajille. Kaksikon välit kipinöivät entistä enemmän, koska herttua on nähty lady Victorian seurassa ja tietäväiset seurapiirit odottavat kihlausuutista. Murhatutkimus jää hiukan taka-alalle välien selvittelyjen takia, mutta moninaiset kommellukset ja kömpelyydet pitävät siirapin varsin kaukana. Jos kyseessä olisi trilogia, tähän olisi ollut hyvä lopettaa.
