Current was extremely strong East to West, making for an uphill struggle one way and a downhill glide the other. 10C, slowly picking up. We are running 2 community water safety events at Firestone Bay. Our aim is to get as many of the local community confident and qualified to deal with emergency situations. March 2nd 9-4 practical training delivered by @coasttocoast_watersafety on how to deal with a swimmer in difficulty and requiring emergency first aid and CPR. March 27/28th 9-5 ITC Level 3 Award in Outdoor First Aid delivered by @reallygoodfirstaid which is a comprehensive first aid course ideal for those leading groups in remote locations. Both courses will be funded by @waveplymouth with a small admin fee for participants. Reminded today that I've been regularly swimming in Plymouth Sound with some of these reprobates since late 2017/early 18! 7C water, some chop as early warning of an impending storm coming from the south west. Short swim, couldn't get a good fit on the goggles today but felt better in the water than I have in weeks.
