Still dreaming of Dartmoor โจ An incredibly special place which now has a piece of my ๐ฉท. Springโs full bloom had just sprung last weekend, and Dartmoor was in its picture postcard English countryside era - rolling green hills, thick carpets of bluebells and baby animals all around. Just sheer joy! We toured the towering granite tors, and marvelled at the majestic open moors. We walked in ancient fairy glen forests which date back to the last age ๐ณ ๐งโโ๏ธ We saw wandering wild ponies everywhere (heaven for an obsessed horse girl), and even managed to pet a particularly friendly one!๐ด Indy the intrepid explorer left no blade of grass unsniffed and plunged into every crystal clear pool ๐พ Dartmoor truly is magic - one of the last wild, rugged and untamed places in England - and it feels like nowhere else. Every time you turn around youโre treated to another stunning sweeping view. Every exploration leads you to another epic expanse. Every adventure amplifies your sense of awe at the power and beauty of Nature when she is protected and allowed to thrive ๐ฑ The beauty of Dartmoor genuinely is breathtakingโฆan iPhone camera canโt do it justice, but the minds eye memories will last a lifetime! ๐ธ Also - the people are super friendly, the food is delicious, and there are cream teas everywhere you go. Yellow Gorse lines the route Southโฆ Last month Rosie and I found ourselves back on the South West Coast Path for another stint of walking that took us the 40 miles from Clovelly in North Devon to Tintagel in Cornwall. This time we walked through well known places like Bude, and Boscastle, while also stopping at lesser known and greatly remoter spots like Hartland Quay. So far weโve walked about 140 miles of the 630 total, but our goal of doing 1/3 of the route in a year should be safely achieved after we return in July for a further six days of hopefully sunny walking. #frasermcgeephotography #southwestcoastpath #coastalwalk #saltpath
