#dietjourney hari ke 2 : hari ini kita makan tumis kangkung + tahu kukus & ayam goreng untuk siang hari & untuk malam mengkonsumsi tahu kukus yg sama sisa dari tadi siang ditambah jeruk 1 buah. And this what I told her to unlearn those tendencies: โ€œIโ€™ve learned self-sabotage is an attempt at control and avoiding uncertainty. Road to 60 Saya bukan penggemar olahraga. Dulu sih, pas langsing, prefer olahraga berenang, main basket, voli atau badminton. Tapiiii kalau disuruh memilih satu, saya akan langsung jawab : berenang. Why? Karena berenang satu-satunya olahraga yang tidak mengeluarkan keringat. Saya paling tidak suka berkeringat dan tidak pernah menemukan kesenangan dari aktivitas olahraga. Aktivitas yang menyenangkan bagi saya cuma baca buku, nulis, gambar dan makan gurilem. Titik. Namun, rasa itu agak berbeda ketika saya punya goal kembali ke kilogram awal ketika saya bergabung dengan perusahaan sekarang. Goal yang beneran dari hati, bukan niat di mulut doang seperti biasanya. Mengurangi porsi makan sudah, mengurangi gula sudah lama, mengurangi kopi tapi jarum timbangan tidak bergerak turun. Akhirnya coba menuruti saran menambah minum jus dan rutin treadmill setiap hari. Semangat mulai tumbuh ketika jarum timbangan mulai bergetar lalu perlahan turun meski lambat seperti siput. It's ok, metabolisme menyesuaikan usia yang tak lagi muda. Ternyata menyenangkan ya kalau kita punya satu goal dan fokus untuk mencapai itu. Somehow, kondisi mood apapun bisa berubah ketika melakukan usaha untuk meraihnya. Dan anehnya sekarang setiap kali mood buruk saya langsung treadmill karena biasanya tak lama moodnya membaik. Kali ini ternyata olahraga bisa berdampak positif bagi mood saya. Untuk sesaat aktivitas ini menjadi pelarian saya dari situasi atau kondisi yang kurang menyenangkan. Wish me luck, perjalanan masih cukup panjang menuju goal saya. Mengapa bukan road to 48 aja seperti berat badan saat gadis? Waduh di usia sekarang dengan berat segitu malah dianggap nenek deh karena kisut ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ Goalnya hanyalah berat masuk kategori normal dan sehat. Itu aja. When I think back to my days as a high school and college athlete trying to fuel my body with top ramen, McDonaldโ€™s, and soda I shudder.๐Ÿ™ˆ I had no idea what I was doing. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธI didnโ€™t understand what my body needed during those long hours of training. And I thought as long as I looked good it didnโ€™t matter what I ate. But I didnโ€™t realize that even though my weight was ok, I was showing signs of poor nutrition. โŒI didnโ€™t have energy unless I was hopped up on caffeine. โŒI was always sore and struggled to recover after long training days and games. โŒAnd then the weight gain caught up with me. The second I was done playing sports in college I started struggling with my weight. It took me almost a decade and tons of quick-fix diets that never worked to figure out how to eat healthily. ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ Which is why I started teaching my kids about ๐ŸŽnutrition while they were young. I didnโ€™t want them to have to struggle like I did.
