After I had my son ( #3) at 34 it wasn’t easy I yo-yoed with my weight and struggled with postpartum depression. - I got extremely skinny at one point loss a lot of muscle and had to build it back. My strength had changed so much. I remember feeling really weak but I just stood consistent. I kept showing up. - When you choose to go to the gym and focus on your nutrition to meet your physical goals it takes time so unless you’re gonna pay for surgery or get on a weight loss supplement and even then you should definitely still balance it out with working out don’t be so hard on yourself. Bringing you the true colours of the aurora borealis taken in Pitt Meadows, BC. Lessons I’ve learned from yoga 1️⃣Never stop trying things that force you out of your comfort zone💪🏼 When you push yourself beyond your comfort zone, you find new levels of yourself you never knew existed. You find new depth to your awareness, new abilities to expand upon, and new joy in things you were once afraid of. This is how we grow our confidence.💪🏼 2️⃣Everything is always only a suggestion🥰 Your practice doesn’t have to look like anybody else’s. Your practice is your own and there are countless modifications available to you when the suggestions simply do not fit into your practice. This is how we learn to trust ourselves.🥰 3️⃣You will never know all there is to know or be able to do all there is to do🙌🏼 There’s always another level. If you are the best in the room (or the smartest in the room) it’s time to find a new room. Unless you’re the teacher. But even the teachers need to find rooms that challenge them. This is how we stay humble while continuing to grow.🙌🏼 4️⃣The body stores emotions that our conscious mind cannot access🫶🏼 And because they are stored in the body, they are released through the body. Intentional movement and connecting with the body and the breath allow us to release those stuck emotions so they can no longer have a hold on our subconscious. This is how we find our true selves.🫶🏼 5️⃣There’s no room for comparison or self-judgment on the mat❤️ Your focus during your practice should remain on your mat. If you find yourself comparing your practice to someone else’s practice, or judging your body and its unique abilities compared to another, you will miss the beauty of being fully present in your own practice. This is how we learn to love ourselves.❤️ 6️⃣Surround yourself with magical people✨ Because magical people just make life more beautiful. 🥰✨ 7️⃣Never skip Savasana☺️ Savasana: The final resting pose at the end of a yoga practice. It’s not a reward, it’s not a bypass, and it’s not a waste of time. It’s an integral part of your practice. Through stillness and rest, the work you have done is allowed to fully integrate into your mind, body, and spirit. This is how we stay in balance.😌

During my visit to a René Magritte exhibition in Brussels, I gained insight into the artist’s intriguing mind. The alignment of my project’s initial concept with its execution fueled new inspiration, resulting in two pieces unmistakably influenced by Magritte. Magritte’s art plays with the visible and the hidden, urging viewers to reconsider their assumptions about the world. His paintings serve as a visual philosophy, encouraging introspection and prompting a deeper contemplation beyond surface appearances. As in all my works, these buildings are constructed with hundreds of fragments of photographs of real textures of walls, windows, wood and tiles and sky. The bears are also wrapped in textures of real fabric and blended details that create intricate patterns.
