Went into this race expecting nothing but having a good time! Happy to say we did better than expected 😊 🥉 Been trying to get back into my fitness after my car accident and this was a great push for my endurance! Definitely need a lot of work, but these kind of events are what push me to work harder in my day to day workouts. Today, I participated in my first fitness competition and it was an exhilarating experience! Normally, I’m the one cheering my athletes and providing them with water during their competitions, but today I was in the spotlight. The NXPT GAMES was the perfect choice for my first competition, and I was fortunate to have a fantastic partner. The Games were incredibly challenging, but I wore a smile on my face throughout the entire race. I love taking on difficult tasks, especially with a friend. It’s empowering to push ourselves to complete something that seems impossible. Having all eyes on us, cheering us on, motivated us to keep going and move faster. All the glory to Jesus for giving us this life✝️ Spartan season opener for the Bogy fam this weekend and did not disappoint. Action packed weekend with lots of racing. Race weekend recap: Saturday Carly and her buddy Frankie raced the kids 2miler and crushed it. Each kid nailed all obstacles including hurc hoist, spear, and rope. Shout out to @spartankidsrace for putting on a really good kids course👏. These are the future racers of our sport. Next time you're at a venue drop the staff and kids some props.🤙🏼 Mrs.Bogyfit❤️ @tatismesd and her friend Joy did awesome 👌. Major props to Joy for being "voluntold" Friday evening, you're running a spartan race, showing up, and completing her first ever Spartan🔥👏 the two finished strong and had minimal penalty loops💪🏾 Saturday: Went into the race with low expectations since the gap in racing. But once you hit that line and see all the homies, it all comes back. It's likel you never left. Felt solid through the course and managed to stay on @edliner408 heals🏃..he had the gas the last push and snaged the 🥇 while I came in 🥈..congrats homie..most fun I've had in awhile. Went back in for a victory lap with Dalton and @mr_belvedere1980 who both ran their first Spartan. These to dudes have been showing up every week and putting in the work. Both finished strong and are now signed up for a trifecta 👊 🍕 Sunday: Felt good and super pumped to toe the line with a couple faces we didn't see on Saturday. Body felt great and left it all on the course. Managed to shave off over 1:45 from yesterday's time and take the 🥇 Had a great time catching up with all the other MBA's. Few peeps missing, you know who you are😉.The energy, encouragement, and positive vibes with this crew is inspiring. Big congratulations to everyone who earned their podium this weekend. I worked really hard for this. Not just the learning part, but the time,energy,patience and sacrifices it required from me. I couldn’t have done it with out the amazing Core Power Yoga team. @corepoweryoga has been with me from the beginning of me moving to SD almost 5 years ago. First day I got here Looked up yoga,cpy popped up,Hillcrest location, a week later I found my La mesa home and the rest is history. Cpy has always been good to me. BUT,It takes a village to help you be a better you and @nxptmade and the @nxptfit community stood by me the entire way as well. In so many valuable ways. Thank you for supporting me and giving me the time to dive deeper into my practice. So I can give our yogis the best possible treatment. I couldn’t hide how grateful I was for this opportunity. This course was given to us as a gift. Normally it would of cost some 💸💵💰🤑 I felt so privileged For 9 months 3 times a week 3 hr’s each session. We shared knowledge, energy, lows, highs… we were living out our life’s in between you couldn’t help not getting to know people on a deeper level. And that was a gift. I am so filled with gratitude! I had so much support going into this race with @gretysburg making me a care package that was so perfect for what I needed. I probably would’ve hit a wall and cried and walked really slow to the finish line if it weren’t for that. And she checked on me during the race telling me to keep going. And @dfm.2099 encouraging me and seeing my potential And @ilikelipgloss calling me the day before, filling me with words of encouragement. Anthony being so supportive and waiting for me telling dad jokes and running to telephone pole waking the next and checking on me. 💗 Now it’s time for me to lie down and die because I cannot move my body.
