Es ist wichtig, meinen Körper mit den richtigen Nährstoffen zu versorgen, besonders wenn ich krank bin. . Ein frischer Ingwertee mit Honig hilft mir dabei, mich besser zu fühlen. Die wohltuenden Eigenschaften des Ingwers und die beruhigende Wirkung des Honigs lindern meine Symptome. Ich habe gelernt, wie wichtig es ist, auf natürliche Heilmittel zurückzugreifen, um meine Gesundheit zu unterstützen. . Auch mein Bodybuilding muss gerade warten. I think I might finally be out of the pain flare, this week has been much better than I’ve felt since early March. I’m still experiencing the new pain and pressure in my mid back (is it still new after 9 weeks?) but it’s definitely at a much lower volume and my meds are actually managing it. However I am still absolutely exhausted and it’s going to take a while before I’m back to my pre flare levels of Spoons. Yesterday (or rather Thursday since it’s past midnight now) I had a hospital appointment and getting dressed in actual clothes completely wiped me out. I was shaking so hard I couldn’t stand and I spent the next two hours dizzy, disorientated, nauseous and just generally feeling like I needed to lie down for the next year. Which was not a great way to be feeling when meeting a new doctor. My energy levels also meant I’ve had to cancel on important weekend plans which just sucks. It’s not the first time I’ve had to cancel big plans but this is a once in a lifetime event for one of my nieces and I hate that I can’t be there. Two weeks later I am still positive for Covid and having all the upper respiratory issues, fatigue and lack of smell/taste that came with it. I had a pretty tough conversation with my GP last week in which she warned me that after battling both RSV and Covid in a 3 month time frame, my lungs, my immune system and my body’s ability to care for itself have all been damaged. In short, I’m not well. And we don’t know how long it will take for me to test negative, much less for my body to recover— to get well. So I agreed to cancel my entire May and all of the things I was very much looking forward to: My niece had to cancel her much-anticipated visit this week, I had to cancel on my friend @amymann999 for the Go Red for Women event we’d been looking forward to for months, I’ve had to cancel my trip to see my Mom in Texas, and I’ve agreed to not even try to exercise. And you know what’s crazy? My doctor told me I’m lucky— if I wasn’t otherwise fit, healthy and boosted, this might have been fairly catastrophic. So if you’ve ever wondered why I mask and why I am so paranoid, well now you can see *exactly* what happens when I let my guard down and try to “just live my life” as everyone else in the world is so fond of doing and sooo fond of telling others to do. As if people like me *want* to mask or miss out on things. So far in 2024, I’ve spent 5 full weeks sick and isolated and I’m now headed into my 6th week of it. But no more.
