Have you ever heard the story of the friendship of water and fire? Here is a summary 👇 Once upon a time, Water and Fire were friends. They loved each other and cherished their friendship. Water used to visit Fire, and they would spend time together as friends do. One day, Water's sibling became 'concerned' about Water's frequent visits to Fire, and insinuated that the friendship is one- sided. "Why can't she visit you too?" "You are cheapening yourself by going to her house often" This made Water angry and offended. She started pestering Fire to visit her too. Fire tried to manoeuvre herself out of the dilemma by explaining her nature (as fire that she is), but Water would hear none of it. So Fire made up her mind that in a bid to preserve her friendship, she will pay Water a visit. Fire razed down everything that can be burned down on her way to Water's house. It took a great effort on Water's part for Fire not to burn down Water's house, but Fire was badly injured by Water, and that was the end of their friendship. . . . That is my version of the folklore about the friendship of water and fire. My people have a saying that "ùtùò mmadu abùò ò onye olu ji ya", which is interpreted to mean that the sweetness in the relationship between two people is determined by one person. "I'm always the one calling him". "I'm always the one visiting her". You may be tempted to ask yourself if you were charmed. No dear, you weren't. It may just be what your friendship requires at a certain season or all seasons, for it to survive. Some friendships are 'that peculiar'. If you look closely, you will see that your friend/ partner is also contributing to the growth of the relationship in his or her own way. Don't listen to the naysayers who tell you that she is a parasite, or that you should increase your value by making yourself 'scare'. Mmh! Are you them? 🤷 If you are persuaded of your partner/ friend's value, be careful to keep your relationship alive and healthy. Thanks for reading. Today we had our “MURPH” community event at @cfflex ! Coming off of a crazy 4 weeks of life, being sick and a couple minor injuries, I wasn’t feeling it this year and was maybe going to do a 1/2 Murph. Well I ended up doing a full Murph, unpartitioned with my vest. (A first for me!) Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada hari Sabtu tanggal 9 Maret 2024. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh satgas toleransi, duta toleransi, dan perwakilan pengurus OSIS. Narasumber dari kegiatan ini sangatlah luar biasa yaitu Bapak Fajar dari forum wartawan SCTV dan Bapak Henry Sucahyo adalah ketua komunitas Brangwetan dimana beliau penggagas program sekolah toleransi. Bisa tidak ya kita berdemokrasi dengan damai? Hai sobat spendata, SMPN 2 Tarik baru baru ini melakukan pesta demokrasi pemilihan DUTA LINGKUNGAN. Melalui pemilihan duta lingkungan (pilduling) dapat menanamkan toleransi dalam berdemokrasi. Kita sebagai siswa SMPN 2 Tarik mampu menghargai perbedaan pendapat dalam mendukung setiap calon duta lingkungan. Namun dari keberagaman pilihan dapat membuat kita menjadi menerima perbedaan tersebut dan menghargai setiap pilihan orang lain. Peserta calon duta lingkungan adalah wakil dari setiap kelas VII dan VIII dengan total 16 siswa. Bapak/ibu guru serta staff telah melaksanakan pemilihan calon duta lingkungan dengan memberikan contoh teladan saling toleransi terhadap pemilihan yang berbeda dan menerima dengan lapang dada apapun hasilnya setelah perhitungan suara. #sekolahtoleransi2024 #wearestrongertogether
